  • Patent number: 10038941
Abstract: Embodiments described herein enable a media device to be controlled from any location via a network-based device. For example, a user, using a control device, initiates a command that identifies media content to be streamed by the media device. The command is transmitted to a proxy device coupled to the media device and a network-based device. The proxy device transmits the command to the network-based device, which translates the command into a format compatible with the media device. The translated command is transmitted to the proxy device, which transmits the translated command to the media device. The media device streams the media content based on the received translated command. Alternatively, the control device and the proxy device are integrated as a single device, which generates and transmits the command to the network-based device, receives the translated command from the network-based device, and transmits the translated command to the media device.

  • Patent number: 10009576
Abstract: The invention provides an audio-video conversion device, relating to the field of TV, through converting the LVDS and/or V-by-One input port in the display into an HDMI port to make the display match the widely used HDMI audio-video processing device, so as to improve the flexibility of its adaptation; meanwhile, because the audio-video conversion device directly convert the TV signal in HDMI format into TV signal in LVDS and/or V-by-One format and then send it to the play device for playing, therefore there is no need to provide traditional LVDS chip and/or V-by-One chip on the display panel, and supports relatively high frequency to match frequency division and the frequency conversion of the screen, and then achieve the best image quality.

  • Patent number: 9986091
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, limiting contact to a networked contact center that is a host to multiple tenants. In an example embodiment, a communication is received by a networked contact center. In determining whether to allow the communication to reach contact center resources, a contact rate value may be examined. The contact rate value may represent an allowable quantity of contact within a time interval. For some example embodiments, a determination of whether the network contact center is to accept or reject the communication is made based on the contact rate value.

  • Patent number: 9980009
Abstract: A digital video conversion device is communicatively coupled to a TV set and a TV signal source, respectively, so as to pass TV signals from the TV signal source to the TV set. Upon receipt of a TV channel identification request from a mobile terminal via a wireless communication channel, the digital video conversion device acquires an image from the TV signals currently broadcasted on the TV set and extracts a plurality of station logo characteristic sets from the image, each station logo characteristic set corresponding to one of a plurality of station logo templates. After calculating a similarity score between each station logo characteristic set and a corresponding station logo template, the digital video conversion device identifies one of the plurality of station logo templates as matching the image based on their similarity scores and returns TV channel information associated with the identified station logo template to the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 9948997
Abstract: Methods and system for providing interactive media for broadcast content includes receiving navigation input to a first channel that presents content of the television broadcast. Identity of the content is determined by generating an audio fingerprint using an audio signal of the content. Types of interactive media available during the presentation of the content from the first channel and a predetermined input for accessing the graphical notification are identified and used to generate a graphical notification. Access to interactive media presented within the graphical notification is enabled during rendering of the graphical notification and at any time during rendering of the content from the first channel, upon providing the predefined input. When the predefined input is detected, the types of interactive media available for the content are rendered, and content for the select one of the interactive media is presented, during presentation of the content from the first channel.

  • Patent number: 9942615
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for presenting targeted metadata associated with media asset identifiers. For example, based on stored user preferences (e.g., the user likes a particular actor) and context (e.g., whether an actor is trending on social media near the user's location), the systems and methods may rank attributes associated with the media asset (e.g., title, actors, director, genre, etc.). The systems and methods may then determine a number of attributes that can be displayed based on a size of the media asset identifier (e.g., a cell in a grid-guide) and select the number of attributes that can be displayed (e.g., based on the number of characters, the top two ranked attributes are selected). The systems and methods then display the media asset identifier (e.g., the cell in the grid-guide) with the selected attributes.
