Abstract: A method of generating edited video, the method comprises receiving, at a server, an unedited video from a user device; receiving, at the server, user input indicating one or more effects to apply to the unedited video from the user device; generating, at the server, a plurality of intermediate representations of the unedited video; and generating, at the server, an edited video based on, at least in part on the unedited video, the user input, and one of the plurality of intermediate representations.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to systems, methods, and machine-readable mediums for implementing gesture-based signature authentication. In one embodiment, a system may include several modal input devices. Each modal input device is capable of retrieving a stream of modal input data from a user. The system also includes modal interpretation logic that can interpret each of the retrieved modal input data streams into a corresponding of set of actions. The system additionally includes modal pairing logic to assign each corresponding set of actions to control one of the displayed objects. Furthermore, the system has modal control logic which causes each displayed object to be controlled by its assigned set of actions.

Abstract: Methods are described for maximizing the size of a video displayed in a display area of a video player. The maximum height of the video is determined using its aspect ratio and the dimensions of the display area in the video player. The control panel is removed from the display in the video player if this allows the video to be shown at its maximum height while preserving the video's resolution. The control panel is displayed in the video player if the video can be shown at its maximum height without removing the control panel from the display.

Abstract: A computer-implemented user interface method includes displaying one or more display elements in a graphical user interface, including elements that correspond to pop up controls, receiving a selection of one of the one or more display elements, determining whether the selected element corresponds to a pop up control, and displaying the selected element in a highlighted format upon receiving the selection if the element corresponds to a pop up control, and displaying a pop up control after displaying the element in a highlighted format if the selection persists for a long press period.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to user interface control groups and provide a method, system and computer program product for rendering a set of user interface controls with dynamic content in a GUI. In one embodiment, the invention can include a data processing system including a set of user interface controls and control data including a set of cumulative selection metrics for each user interface control in the set. Each user interface control in the set, in turn, can include a label and an indicator of cumulative metrics for the user interface control. For instance, the set of user interface controls can include a set of radio buttons in a radio button control group. As another example, the set of user interface controls can include a set of check boxes in a check box control group.

Abstract: An interface securing method between a user and a non certified application running on an electronic device and providing at least one view to be rendered on a screen, and a view comprising or associated to at least one interface control component. The method implements, prior to rendering a view: analysis of the interface control components of the view, so as to detect at least one interface control component that could pose a security problem, called a suspicious component; and if at least one suspicious component is detected, restriction or invalidation of the functions of at least one input control component, distinct from the at least one suspicious component and able to allow the information to be provided by the user to the application.

Abstract: In general, in one aspect, the invention relates to a method for maintaining a calendar of a user. The method includes: accessing an online profile of the user corresponding to a first social networking website; identifying, on the first social networking website, a first entry referencing a physical location, where the first entry is entered on a first calendar date; identifying, on the first social networking website, a second entry referencing the physical location, where the second entry is entered on a second calendar date; calculating, based on the first calendar date and the second calendar date, a first frequency of user visits to the physical location; estimating, based on the first frequency, a future calendar date when the user is expected to visit the physical location; and creating, in the calendar, a future event scheduled to occur at the physical location.

Abstract: At least one statistical output associated with a process model and a rate of change associated with each statistical output is identified, such as by using historical data associated with the process model. The statistical outputs and the rates of change are used to generate a graphical display, such as a phase plane plot. Each point in the display is based on one of the statistical outputs and its associated rate of change. The graphical display could include multiple portions, such as quadrants, and one of the portions can be selected and highlighted. The different portions of the graphical display may represent whether the process model is a poor fit to current conditions and approaching a better fit, a poor fit and approaching a poorer fit, a good fit and approaching a poorer fit, and a good fit and approaching a better fit.

Abstract: A system for enhancing reading performance operates on a network-connected server with software executing from a non-transitory medium at the server providing an interactive interface for a user connected to the server via a browser link. There is a data repository coupled to the server. The interactive interface provides a word search exercise for the user for improving the user's reading performance, displays a passage comprising a first number of words and a search list with a second number of words that each appear at least once in the passage, the second number smaller than the first number, and when the user clicks on every word in the passage for a word that appears in the search list, that word is indicated in the list as found, until all the words in the search list have been indicated as found.

Abstract: Methods and computer readable mediums storing computer executable programs for managing multimodal annotations of an image are disclosed. A first communication channel is established between a first machine and a mobile device. A first hierarchical data structure generated by the mobile device is received at the first machine. The first hierarchical data structure includes an image annotated with at least one multimodal annotation. A representation of the first hierarchical data structure is rendered at the first machine. At least one multimodal annotation modification associated with the image is received at the first machine. The at least one multimodal annotation modification is incorporated into the first hierarchical data structure thereby generating a second hierarchical data structure.

Abstract: A system and method for selectively capturing and storing emulation data results from a hardware emulation system, which reduces the data bandwidth requirement and the unnecessary consumption of the DRAM memory capacity by uninteresting data. According to one embodiment, a system comprises a trace array for storing one or more frames of data; a first set of hardware control bits that enables the trace array to selectively capture non-continuous windows of data within a frame of data; a data capture card; and a second set of hardware control bits that enables the data capture card to capture a select frame of data from the one or more frames of data stored on the trace array.

Abstract: An audio user interface that provides audio prompts that help a user interact with a user interface of an electronic device is disclosed. The audio prompts can provide audio indicators that allow a user to focus his or her visual attention upon other tasks such as driving an automobile, exercising, or crossing a street, yet still enable the user to interact with the user interface. An intelligent path can provide access to different types of audio prompts from a variety of different sources. The different types of audio prompts may be presented based on availability of a particular type of audio prompt. As examples, the audio prompts may include pre-recorded voice audio, such as celebrity voices or cartoon characters, obtained from a dedicate voice server. Absent availability of pre-recorded or synthesized audio data, non-voice audio prompts may be provided.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to task bar management and provide a method, system and computer program product for graphical association of task bar entries. In one embodiment of the invention, a method for graphically associating a window with a task bar entry in a windowing operating system GUI can be provided. The method can include rendering multiple windows in a z-space sequence in a desktop of the windowing operating system graphical user interface and detecting a proximity event for an entry in a task bar for the windowing operating system graphical user interface. In response to detecting the proximity event, a corresponding one of the windows in the desktop can be highlighted without re-ordering the z-space sequence.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are encoded computer readable storage media and computer-implemented systems creating a content sharing application comprising: a software module for identifying content to share; a software module for displaying a radially-distributed menu of destinations for identified content in response to a first user interaction, wherein said menu of destinations allows a user to select at least one destination; a software module for displaying a radially-distributed menu of individuals associated with one or more displayed destinations in response to a second user interaction, wherein said menu of individuals allows a user to select at least one individual; and a software module for customizing said radially-distributed menus. Also disclosed are methods for rapidly sharing content utilizing the same.

Abstract: Techniques are described for display and navigation of hierarchical messages, which displays include contextual data for the messages. Context information for a current message includes reply messages, parent messages, and metadata representations. Message representations are also associated with visual depth indicators that are independent of the text of the messages. Users may navigate displays of hierarchical message data using different navigational inputs. For example, more information may be requested for messages, without selecting a new message for viewing as a focal message, using swipes across portions of the display dedicated to displaying the messages. A limited number of messages for a requested list of messages is initially retrieved and displayed, and a mechanism for viewing more messages from the list is provided. Historical usage of the mechanism is recorded and the number of messages to be displayed for the list of messages is adjusted based on the historical usage data.

Abstract: Displaying a preference by a first user of a content contribution submitted by a second user is disclosed. A preference event by the first user is detected. A plurality of detected events is stored. In response to a query from a client, at least a portion of the stored detected events is stored. At least a portion of the received events is caused to be rendered graphically.
