Abstract: A rooftop package delivery receptacle for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) is transformed from a normally closed downwardly pitched transparent or translucent aesthetically acceptable rooftop aperture, appearing as an ordinary skylight, into a preferably larger substantially horizontal delivery platform providing a safe, secure, above ground location for a drone to land or tether for package delivery. Upon a wireless command signal from either an arriving UAV or a local user, the curb frame mounted receptacle containing a center pivoting platform supporting a plurality of slidably mounted panels rotates upwards and expands both longitudinally and transversely enabling a larger substantially horizontal landing area. After the package is delivered the platform contracts to its original size and continues in an upwards rotation urging the package to move inwards for collection. A pair of weatherproof accordion shaped shudders surround the openings and enclose any gaps during the operation.

Abstract: In one implementation, a casket lowering system is configured to enable the lowering of a casket into a grave and includes: a casket support system configured to support the casket and temporarily suspend the casket above the grave; an electrically-actuated brake assembly coupled to the casket support system and configured to control the rate of descent of the casket support system into the grave; and a rechargeable power source electrically coupled to the electrically-actuated brake assembly and configured to provide electrical energy to the electrically-actuated brake assembly.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a bracket, a handle, and a clip. The handle, with the bracket mounted at an exterior door handle region of a vehicular door, is movable relative to the bracket by a user to actuate a latch mechanism for opening the door. The clip is attached at the bracket and engages a pivot end of the handle when the pivot end is inserted into the bracket, and retains the pivot end of the handle at the bracket when the pivot end of the handle is engaged with a pivot element of the bracket. The clip (i) limits movement of the handle relative to the bracket in a direction along a longitudinal axis of the bracket or handle, (ii) allows pivotal movement of the handle about the pivot element of the bracket, and (iii) allows for removal of the handle from the bracket.

Abstract: A pendant includes a face plate and back plate for defining an internal chamber. When key portions on the face plate are positioned over key entrances of the back plate, and the face plate rotated with respect to the back plate so that the key portions rest on a top surface of the second portion of the grooves in the back plate, the pendant enters a primary locked position. When the latch of the face plate is positioned between two protruding portions of the back plate and resting on a seat location, the pendant enters a secondary locked position.

Abstract: A combination cremation urn and ornament comprises a base adapted to receive cremation ashes therein, an upstanding post mounted to an upper surface of said base and extending upwardly therefrom, and a decorative ornament that is three-dimensional an entire 360 degrees about a vertical axis of said decorative ornament, said decorative ornament having a hole extending upwardly from a bottom thereof into said decorative ornament, said post received in said hole as said decorative ornament is positioned on said base to secure said decorative ornament to said base.

Abstract: A storage stores money. An outlet can receive money delivered from the storage therein. The outlet is configured to allow the money to be removed from the inside of the outlet. A detector detects a removal action associated with removal of money from the outlet. The controller switches a process on money remaining in the outlet based on a detection result of the detector.

Abstract: A controlled substance take-back kiosk has a housing that defines a secured internal kiosk storage vault. A vault door has an integrated doorjamb, and a pair of lock openings that each extend through multiple sheets of metal including both the doorjamb and door. The lock openings are shaped in the form of tapered cam-slots, and a rotating bolt arm pivots through these slots to draw the door and door jamb together. A hopper is selectively moveable between a normally closed position disallowing insertion of controlled substances into the housing interior and an open position allowing insertion of controlled substances. The hopper has an adjustable size opening with a smooth interior. A baffle has a curved cam surface that engages with the hopper, to accelerate closure of the baffle during opening of the hopper, to isolate the secured internal kiosk storage vault from the housing exterior.

Abstract: A package delivery apparatus for securing delivered packages includes a flexible bag, a security strap, and a locking mechanism. The flexible bag is configured to accommodate one or more packages and includes an opening adjustable between an open position and a closed position. The security strap is integrated with the bag and cinches around the opening. The locking mechanism selectively allows the security strap to move in one direction to secure the closed position. The locking mechanism includes a housing, a lock element, a ratcheting mechanism, and a handle mechanism. The security strap extends through the housing and the ratcheting mechanism and is coupled to the handle mechanism. Moving the handle mechanism to an extended position cinches and locks the bag closed. The lock element is selectively actuated to disengage the security strap from the ratcheting mechanism and allow the bag to be re-opened.

Abstract: An enclosure assembly for securely housing a bank notes acceptor (BNA) for use with an electronic gaming machine (EGM) is provided. The enclosure assembly includes a housing defining an interior for receiving the BNA. The housing includes an engagement bracket extending between a first end coupled to a side wall and a second, free end. The door assembly includes a door panel and a lock assembly. The lock assembly includes a lock frame including a side wall and a projection provided thereon, the projection extends from the side wall and towards the engagement bracket. The lock assembly further includes a prong latch coupled to the lock frame that is engageable with the engagement bracket to lock the door assembly. The engagement bracket is resiliently flexible and is configured to move into contact with the projection to enhance a structural integrity of the enclosure assembly.

Abstract: A delivery lockbox assembly includes a lock box which has a recess to accommodate a foundation of a building. The lock box has a front entry which is positioned outside of the building to facilitate a parcel to be delivered into the lock box. The lock box has a back entry which is positioned within the building thereby facilitating the back entry to be accessible to an occupant of the building for retrieving the parcel. A locking unit is integrated into the front entry inhibit the parcel from is removed from the lock box by an unauthorized person. the locking unit has an access unit is integrated into the locking unit wherein the access unit is configured to be manipulated by the delivery person. The locking unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device to alert the occupant that the parcel has been delivered into the lock box.

Abstract: Caskets, cap panel assemblies for a casket, and methods for manufacturing cap panel assemblies are described. A casket may include a casket shell, at least one casket cap pivotally mounted on the casket shell, and a cap panel assembly mounted in the at least one casket cap. The cap panel assembly may include a cap panel, a puffing member attached to each edge of the cap panel, a cap panel insert positioned in-line with the cap panel, and a plurality of resilient members positioned on a front face of the cap panel insert. The plurality of resilient members may be tensioned, for example, to hold keepsakes, memorabilia, or other types of objects on or in the cap panel insert. The cap panel insert can include a mounting bracket or a screw and wire assembly for mounting the cap panel insert on a wall.

Abstract: A dispenser is mounted in an aperture formed in a partition to dispense goods from a first party on one side of the partition to a second party on the other side of the partition. Multiple trays are disposed on a rotating mechanism to move a selected tray from a position near the first party, such as an employee at a food service, and a second party, such as the customer. Subsequently, the tray can be moved linearly outward toward the second party to thereby position goods within reach of the second party without the need for close proximity or contact between the parties.

Abstract: A method to optimize operation of a parcel terminal having a mast and a loader attached thereto, the mast being configured to move horizontally within the parcel terminal and the loader being configured to move vertically within the parcel terminal and the method comprises synchronizing by using a computing device, a horizontal movement of the mast and a vertical movement of the loader based on the calculated horizontal travel time and the calculated vertical travel time. The method enables longer lifetime of participating components as well as longer service intervals of the terminal.

Abstract: A motor vehicle handle arrangement includes an actuating element, which is movable between a neutral position and an active position, a handle part, which is movable between a non-use position and an actuating position, and a mechanical restoring element. In a normal operation, the actuating element is designed to move the handle part from the non-use position into the actuating position. In the active position, it holds the handle part in the actuating position. An auxiliary restoring element is movably mounted and coupled in movement with the actuating element in such a way that, during a faulty operation in which the actuating element moves into the neutral position and the handle part is arranged remaining in its actuating position, it is designed, at least for a fraction of its movement, to move the handle part concomitantly in the direction of its non-use position.

Abstract: A customizable memorabilia cover has front and back substantially rectangular leafboard members coupled to a spine member. Elastic bands may be coupled one each at the distal and proximal ends of the elastic bands substantially to the outer corners of the rectangular leafboard members. The elastic bands are disposed acutely from the edges of the rectangular leafboard members and designed to receive the corners of a book cover of a book therethrough, the book contained within the front and back leafboard members substantially abutted by the spine member. At least one groove member of the front leafboard member has a closed base and closed side members. A substantially transparent cover member is contiguously coupled to a top portion of the side members to define an ash container assembly. An alternative embodiment includes a covering or enclosing member that holds an electronic handheld device removably coupled to the back leafboard member.

Abstract: A secured parcel delivery system for creating temporary access through a door for delivered parcels includes a door. The door has a portal aperture which extends therethrough. The portal aperture includes a perimeter edge. A panel is pivotably attached to the perimeter edge. The panel is positionable in an open condition which exposes the portal aperture or in a closed condition which covers the portal aperture. A driver mechanism actuates the panel alternatingly between the open condition and the closed condition. A locking mechanism is attached to and releasably locks the panel when the panel is in the closed condition. The locking mechanism is actuated to an unlocked condition which allows the panel to be moved to the open condition or a locked condition which restrains the panel in the closed condition.

Abstract: A delivery door extension that attaches to an existing door jamb and engages with an existing door is provided. The delivery door extension includes a panel having a planar body with opposing front and rear surfaces extending between first and second side surfaces, a top surface, and a bottom surface, wherein the panel body includes an opening. The delivery door extension also includes a delivery window body configured to move between an open position and a closed position, a hinge mechanism attached to the first side surface of the panel, a blocking mechanism on the second side surface that restricts movement of the existing door, and a frame that includes first and second portions.

Abstract: A collapsible safe box that can be removably or permanently affixed to a structure. The collapsible safe box may include protractible and retractable side member, bottom member, and lid. The collapsible safe box may include one or more electronic devices to monitor and operate the functioning of the safe box. In examples, the collapsible safe box may include means to allow for remove operation.

Abstract: An ash bucket including a container including a closable top opening and a side wall; a side opening disposed on the side wall; and a side cover configured to be hinged at a minimum height at a level of a top edge of the side opening, wherein the side cover is configured to be selectively covering the side opening, wherein upon disposal of a material through the side opening in the container, the side opening is closed with the side cover which suppresses airborne particles of the material to keep as much of the material within the container.

Abstract: A system and method for securing delivered packages is provided. One embodiment employs a j-shaped or u-shaped support member secured to a fixed location structure; a basket configured to receive a delivered package; an articulated frame that opens to receive the delivered package into the basket; and that closes to secure the delivered package within the basket; a latch; and a controller system controllably coupled to the latch, wherein the controller system releases the latch in response to an arrival of a package so that the articulated frame is opened to receive the delivered package into the basket, and wherein after the articulated frame is closed with the delivered package residing in the basket, the latch is engaged to lock the closed articulated frame.
