Abstract: A specially designed package receiving device configured to facilitate automatic receipt and notification of packages while preventing unauthorized ingress and egress there-through. The package receiving device includes a frame affixed to an existing support surface, an access panel pivotally coupled to the frame and being selectively rotated along clockwise and counterclockwise directions, a handle affixed to an upper exterior section of the access panel, a plurality of slats pivotally affixed to an interior side of the frame, a box for mail pivotally coupled to the interior side of the upper panel, and a dampening mechanism for providing greater resistive force against rotation of the access panel in the clockwise direction and less resistive force against rotation of the access panel in the counterclockwise direction.

Abstract: A door stop includes an elongated body defining an axis, at least one attachment structure disposed near a first end of the elongated body, and at least one adornment coupler. The adornment coupler can include a channel formed in the elongated body parallel to its axis and having a cross-section in the shape of an inverted “T”. The adornment coupler enables different adornments to be interchangeably attached to the door stop. An adornment of the invention includes a decorative portion and a mounting structure coupled to the decorative portion. The mounting structure is configured to removably engage a complementary adornment coupler (e.g., the channel) of the door stop, whereby the adornment can be mounted to the door stop.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a new and improved package receptacle for receiving one or more delivered parcels or packages. The receptacle is comprised of a gas-piston supported lid, a cable that allows the receptacle to be secured to a structure, a lock that allows only authorized users to access the contents of the package receptacle and a plurality of anti-theft mechanisms. The package receptacle is easily collapsible for easy transportation between locations.

Abstract: Hardware for a casket comprises a clevis having a pair of side walls, a back wall adapted to be attached to the casket shell wall, a pair of tabs each of which extends laterally outwardly from a respective one of the side walls and each of which is spaced forwardly from the rear wall, an arm pivoted at an upper end to the clevis, and a decorative ear having a downwardly facing recess in a lower edge thereof and a pair of tapered resilient arms each of which is located on a respective side of the recess, each resilient arm having a laterally inwardly projecting tab on a lower free end thereof, each resilient arm becoming progressively thicker from the free end toward a base thereof as measured in a direction generally normal to the casket shell wall.

Abstract: Systems and methods for receiving packages from drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are described. The systems can include a delivery package mounting unit, such as a unit configured to mount to the outside of a house or building, configured and adapted to facilitate the landing of a drone to the unit and receive to multiple packages from the drone and/or one or more other drones. In some embodiments, the mounting unit includes a landing tray configured to facilitate the landing of a drone to the unit, and a movable package tray configured to receive packages and other cargo from the drone.

Abstract: A package receiving system includes a cabinet anchored on an exterior of a building; an opening providing access to an interior of the cabinet; and a control system incorporated into the cabinet, the control system having a scanner to read a code associated with a package; the opening allows for the package to be received into the cabinet; and the control system is to capture data associated with the package entering the cabinet.

Abstract: A system for the delivery and secure receipt of packages from unmanned vehicles to improve security and protection of the packages upon delivery. A UAV receptacle provides a water-protected interior to protect a package. The UAV receptacle includes a door in one side that allows a reception tray to extend out and back in, and which locks to protect the package so received. The UAV receptacle detects a drone in proximity. Upon confirming that delivery is for the UAV receptacle, the reception tray extends to a reception position. A sensor detects the package on the reception tray upon delivery from the drone. The reception tray is of a mesh material to reduce water retention. The UAV receptacle retracts the reception tray and closes a door to seal the package within the UAV receptacle. The UAV receptacle may notify user devices that the package has been received.

Abstract: An identification bed assembly for displaying a body for identification. The bed assembly includes a bed structure having a headboard, a first sub-structure having a head end and a foot end and a second sub-structure having a head end and a foot end, where the head end of the first sub-structure is attached to one side of the headboard and the head end of the second sub-structure is attached to another side of the headboard so that an opening is provided between the first and second sub-structures. The bed structure further includes a door coupled to the foot end of the first sub-structure by hinges and being latchable to the foot end of the second sub-structure by a latch. The bed assembly further includes a rolling table that is rollable into the opening between the sub-structures when the door is unlatched and open and is disguised from view.

Abstract: Methods of processing biological materials such as the remains of humans or pets, which may be enclosed in a casket, include depositing the biological materials, including the remains and/or the casket, into a cement kiln and operating the cement kiln to produce clinker, thereby incorporating products of the biological remains into the clinker, such as into a crystal or molecular structure of the clinker, and then grinding the clinker to form a cementitious product.

Abstract: In a mailbox delivery alert system, a closure abutment secured to an outer end of an arm is pushed by pivoting a mailbox closure from a closed position to an open position, and the arm is moveably mounted relative to a flag intermediate its ends for movement parallel to and at non-parallel angles to the flag height. The moving arm pushes an arm abutment secured to an inner end of the arm against the flag intermediate its ends, with the arm abutment pivoting the flag from a home position to an alert position.

Abstract: Present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster and central package delivery system. More specifically, without limitation, present embodiments relate to a revolving mailbox cluster that includes: substantially circular layers stacked vertically, where a second layer sits atop a first layer, and wherein each substantially circular layers includes: vertically opposed bottom top plates, divider plates perpendicular to the bottom and top plates, and a center ring, where the bottom and top plates, dividers, and center ring define individual mailbox units, each of which has an opening disposed opposite the center ring; a first motor for moving the substantially circular layers vertically; and a second motor for rotating the substantially circular layers.

Abstract: A delivery management system configured to automatically order a delivery of an article based on an inventory status of the article in a storage room by using a computer is provided. The storage room is installed so that it penetrates an exterior wall of a house. The delivered article can be put into the storage room from the outside of the house, and the article put into the storage room can be taken out, in a living space of the house, from the storage room.

Abstract: A casket lid includes a lid body and a bridge formed from a folded corrugated paper blank. The lid body extends partially over a casket body configured to receive a human body in supine position, the lid body having a first side configured to extend along a portion of a first casket body side, a second side configured to extend along a portion of a second casket body side, a first end configured to extend along a first casket body end, and an open end. Edges of at least two of the first side, second side, and first end define a lid body bottom plane. The bridge extends downward from the lid body near or at the open end, and defines a concave opening extending above the lid body bottom plane.

Abstract: A powdered composition useful for the preparation of a biodegradable material, said composition comprising 40 to 95 wt. % of a gypsum containing material that is environmentally acceptable; 0 to 60 wt. % of particles of at least one environmentally acceptable filler; and 3 to 10 wt. % of an environmentally acceptable binding agent. A pourable, water-containing, uncured and biodegradable composition comprising a mixture of a component A and a component B. The component A comprises: 40 to 95 wt. % of a gypsum containing material that is environmentally acceptable; 0 to 60 wt. % of particles of at least one environmentally acceptable filler; and 3 to 10 wt. % of an environmentally acceptable binding agent. The component B comprises water. The weight ratio component A: component B varies from 100:40 to 100:100. Biodegradable articles, methods and uses for preparing the pourable, water-containing, uncured and biodegradable articles (e.g. funeral urn).

Each bottom member may include a side leg and a bottom leg. Each top member may include a side leg and a top leg. One top member may be connected to one bottom frame member and another top frame member may be connected to another bottom frame member. The insert may be adjustable in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction through movement of the members relative to one another.

Abstract: Disclosed herein a depositing device for a cargo carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The depositing device can comprise a receptacle enclosed from above by one or more swinging ledges forming a cargo-dropping area on the outer surface thereof, wherein the receptacle is coupled to a hanging device adapted for hanging said depositing device to a balcony railing. The depositing device also comprises a transmitter designed to transmit information usable by the unmanned aerial vehicle to determine a spatial position of the cargo-dropping area. The one or more swinging ledges are designed to tilt inwardly into the receptacle in case a force exerted by a weight of the cargo imposed on the cargo-dropping area exceeds a threshold weight, for inserting said cargo into the receptacle.

Abstract: A smart door control system for securely receiving a delivery item and controlling access between an interior space and an exterior space, the system comprising a smart door with an access opening and a movable access panel which selectively blocks or permits passage through the access opening. The smart door further has a control module adapted to receive delivery data identifying one or more authorized items, and a scanning device adapted to read a delivery identifier found on the delivery item. The smart door is adapted to reveal the access opening upon the delivery item being matched with one of the authorized items. The access panel is adapted to variably control the size of the access opening in proportion to the dimensions of the delivery item. The system further comprises a user device allowing a user to remotely receive status alerts from the smart door and issue user commands.

Abstract: A funerary method includes disposing a deceased adult human body in supine position on an insert constructed of paper material having side walls and end walls. The method further includes providing the insert on a tray having two end panels and a plurality of side panels affixed to a bottom panel, and inserting a first edge of a first fabric segment between a side panel of the tray and a side wall of the insert. The first fabric segment is used to cover at least a portion of a top edge of at least the first side wall of the insert and at least a portion of the deceased human body, such that the deceased human body is sufficiently visible for identification. Thereafter, the insert and the deceased human body are removed from the tray.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing mail deliveries is disclosed, including a container dimensioned to receive a mail item. The container includes an opening dimensioned to receive the mail item which is stored within the interior of the perimeter. A frame is provided around the perimeter of the opening having one or more joints to permit the frame to open and close the opening of the container. The frame includes one or more supports having a U-shaped portion to hang from a door. A locking mechanism is in communication with the frame to securely lock the frame in a closed configuration.
