  • Patent number: 9532233
Abstract: A method for surveying a site for installation of wireless access points is provided. A map of the site under survey is displayed. User input relating to the position of a first wireless device at the site is received. User input relating to the position of a second wireless device at the site is also received. Wireless signals broadcast by the second wireless device are measured using the first wireless device to obtain signal strength values corresponding to the strength of the wireless signals. Attenuation values based on the signal strength values are calculated and assigned to features on the map of the site under survey.

  • Publication number: 20160023181
Abstract: The present disclosure deals with is a combination of interconnected innovative technologies for exploiting the advantages of closed cyclic chain reactions on a global scale to solve the contemporary problem of carbon emissions and the earth's diminishing raw resources associated with fossil fuelled power generation and widespread dumping practices. As a first step the surest way to challenge the present monopoly of the fossil fuel industry is to exploit the full potential of photosynthesising processes, whereby carbon remains the key chemical element for fulfilling the needs of contemporary and future civilisations and whereby the means will be available to control the concentration of green house gases at optimal levels in the environment.

  • Patent number: 9086392
Abstract: T-sensor devices that include a main conduit that defines a diffusion space, at least a first and second supply conduit for conveying fluids into the main conduit, and at least one sensor having a sensing zone that extends into the diffusion space in a fixed location relative to the main conduit. The first and second supply conduits are separated by divider from which a diffusion interface extends into the diffusion space. In order to capture sensing information without employing moving the physical location of sensors or employing more sensors, devices according to the invention alter a location of a diffusion interface extending into the diffusion space from a diffusion start point on the divider relative to the sensing zone of the at least one sensor, without altering the fixed location of the sensor relative to the main conduit. Methods of sensing properties of fluids and analytes are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20140302262
Abstract: A composite structure, such as a structural member (12), is formed by the steps of knitting a three dimensional pre-form (17) from one or more selected fibres such as natural fibres selected from hemp, cotton, flax, jute and synthetic fibres such as boron aramide fibres, carbon fibres, glass fibres and polymer based fibres, using a three dimensional knitting machine (16). The pre-form (17) has a shape commensurate with that of the structure (12) to be formed. The pre-form (17) is caused to take its three dimensional shape by inflating or otherwise expanding the pre-form such as by injecting a foamable synthetic plastics material into the interior of the pre-form, and thereafter fixing the shape of the shaped fibres to form the composite structure.

  • Patent number: 8601914
Abstract: An adapter for a socket wrench includes a shaft with two socket drivers disposed along the shaft. Each of the socket drivers can, independent from one another, rotate around the shaft and slide along the shaft in either direction. There are two stops at each end of the shaft to prevent the socket drivers from falling off the shaft. The socket drivers can be attached to a variety of different socket accessories and sockets so that torque applied to one of the socket drivers can be multiplied and exerted at the end of the other socket driver. One particular embodiment includes a shaft and pedal that aids a person in correctly and easily tightening or loosening lug nuts.
