  • Publication number: 20180196024
Abstract: According to the present invention, a method and an apparatus are provided for creating an opening in the calcified shell of an incubated bird egg containing an embryo, in the region of the blunt end of the incubated bird egg. Within the region of the blunt end there is an outer membrane and an inner membrane with an air cell located therebetween. The apparatus comprises a holder on which the incubated bird eggs are stored with their pointed ends facing downwards, wherein the embryo adjoins the inner membrane, a first detection device configured to detect the position and geometry of the air cell, and an opening device configured to create an opening in the calcified shell at the blunt end of the incubated bird egg above the taut inner membrane. Due to the open calcified shell, the sex of the embryo may be determined in a reliable way.

  • Patent number: 9947741
Abstract: In a field-effect semiconductor device, alternating first n-type and p-type pillar regions are arranged in the active area. The first n-type pillar regions are in Ohmic contact with the drain metallization. The first p-type pillar regions are in Ohmic contact with the source metallization. An integrated dopant concentration of the first n-type pillar regions substantially matches that of the first p-type pillar regions. A second p-type pillar region is in Ohmic contact with the source metallization, arranged in the peripheral area and has an integrated dopant concentration smaller than that of the first p-type pillar regions divided by a number of the first p-type pillar regions. A second n-type pillar region is arranged between the second p-type pillar region and the first p-type pillar regions, and has an integrated dopant concentration smaller than that of the first n-type pillar regions divided by a number of the first n-type pillar regions.

  • Publication number: 20160008755
Abstract: A method for the treatment of a gas stream, wherein before the combustion of the gas stream, hydrogen sulfide is separated out of the gas stream in a first absorber by an absorption medium, the treated gas stream purified of hydrogen sulfide is burnt in a combustion apparatus, the carbon dioxide contained in the exhaust gas of the burnt gas stream after combustion is separated in a second absorber by an absorption medium, and the separated hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide are separated in at least one desorber from the absorption medium for the regeneration of the latter. The same absorption medium separates the hydrogen sulfide out of the gas stream and the carbon dioxide out of the exhaust gas. A corresponding device for the treatment of a gas stream has a first absorber and a second absorber flow-connected to one another for the exchange of absorption medium.

  • Publication number: 20150375137
Abstract: A device and a method are for treatment of an amino acid salt solution that is contaminated with carbon dioxide and is an absorbent for carbon dioxide from a flue gas of a combustion, and includes a reaction process, a following filtration process and a following dissolution process. In the reaction process, carbon dioxide is introduced into the amino acid salt solution, and the amino acid salt solution is cooled. In this case crystalline carbonate and crystalline amino acid precipitate out. In the filtration process, the crystalline carbonate and the crystalline amino acid are filtered off. In the dissolution process the crystalline carbonate and the crystalline amino acid are dissolved in a solvent and a treated amino acid salt solution is thereby recovered.
