  • Patent number: 11810097
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for extending dialogue between a mobile device and a point-of-interaction (POI). One example computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a conduit server, from the POI, via a first connection between the conduit server and the POI, a request for an extended connection between the POI and the mobile device, and notifying a host server of the request. The method then includes receiving, from the mobile device, via a second connection between the conduit server and the mobile device, an identifier for the mobile device and pairing, based on the identifier, the first and second connections, to establish a wireless connection between the POI and the mobile device, via the conduit server. The method further includes submitting a wake-up call to the mobile device, whereby the mobile device publishes the identifier to establish a wireless connection directly between the POI and the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20230127295
Abstract: Enhancements to existing gaming controllers facilitating expedient response time and fine-tuned accuracy are described. The enhancements comprise the internal modification of the stock resistance force supplied by the analog stick centering spring mechanism. Through modification, the force of resistance supplied may be increased to over 200 grams of force, or down to 40 grams of force, while maintaining full function of the analog stick mechanism. A second primary enhancement replaces the stock triggers, conventionally equipped with progressive resistance sensors, to a momentary ‘snap-action’ two-way switch, minimizing trigger pull distance, and removing the analog nature of the trigger to achieve optimal performance.

  • Publication number: 20230010240
Abstract: Techniques for managing sequencing requests for storage node operations based on types of operations being sequenced. The techniques manage sequencing requests for different types of operations, such as backup and recovery operations, replication operations, migration operations, and so on, in a manner that avoids overwhelming storage node capacity. The techniques include receiving a sequencing request for an operation of a specified operation type at a request manager of a storage node and determining whether a capacity of the storage node is available for running the operation by a capacity manager for the specified operation type, in which the capacity manager is provided by a storage client and implemented on the storage node separate from the request manager. In this way, throttling, limiting, and/or prioritization requirements of the operation of the specified operation type can be defined by the storage client in a manner agnostic to the request manager.

  • Publication number: 20220394816
Abstract: In User Equipment (UE) at various geographic locations, circuitry exchanges TCP packets with radios, and the radios wirelessly exchange the TCP packets with wireless communication nodes. The circuitry determines TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the geographic locations. The circuitry estimates TCP retransmission rates for the radios at a new geographic location based on the TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the past geographic locations. The circuitry selects one of the radios based on the estimated TCP retransmission rates at the new geographic location. At the new geographic location, the circuitry exchanges new TCP packets with the selected one of the radios, and the selected one of the radios wirelessly exchanges the new TCP packets with one of the wireless communication nodes.

  • Publication number: 20220323629
Abstract: Animal litter boxes are provided which include a sensor to detect a change in an environment within an interior of its housing and an odor removal device (ORD) operationally connected to the sensor such that the ORD is activated in response to a signal from the sensor. In some cases, the ORD is configured to operate in different manners based on respectively different signals from the sensor. In addition or alternatively, the litter boxes may include a timer configured with the sensor for activating and periodically reactivating the ORD at preset time intervals in response to a sensor signal. In yet other embodiments, the litter boxes may additionally or alternatively include a timer having user adjustable settings of different time periods at which to initiate activation of the ORD and/or user adjustable settings of different durations at which to operate the ORD, both in response from a sensor signal.

  • Patent number: 11445570
Abstract: A mobile User Equipment (UE) uses Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to deliver mobile data services over different radios. The mobile UE qualifies the individual radios that have adequate signal strength at a geographic location. The mobile UE estimates TCP retransmission rates at the location for the qualified radios. The mobile UE identifies individual qualified radios that have adequate TCP retransmission rate estimates. The mobile UE selects one of the identified radios that has the lowest power usage. The mobile UE exchanges TCP packets over the selected radio which includes participating in TCP retransmissions at the location. The selected radio wirelessly exchanges the TCP packets with a wireless access node. The mobile UE stores resulting TCP retransmission data for the selected radio in association with the location for future TCP retransmission rate estimates.
