  • Publication number: 20210138943
Abstract: A leather product such as a leather covering for a vehicular part includes a segment of leather with a base coat applied to a hide side and a color coat applied to the base coat to create an intermediate stage leather segment. A foil transfer is embossed into and secured with an adhesive to the intermediate stage leather segment. A top coat is then applied to the foil transfer and a surrounding portion of the intermediate stage leather segment after the foil transfer is secured to complete the leather product. A system and method of making the leather product is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10952124
Abstract: Systems, methods, and processing nodes for limiting connection requests from wireless devices instruct certain wireless devices to stop sending connection requests or to turn off a radio of the wireless devices, based on a determination that the wireless device is not authorized to access the wireless network. Thus, resource consumption associated with signaling overhead is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20210072450
Abstract: A luminaire includes a housing, a light diffusion panel, a reflective surface, and a plurality of light sources. The light diffusion panel includes a light source aperture, an edge surface bounding the light source aperture, and an emission surface. The emission surface includes first and second emission surface sections. The second emission surface section is disposed on an opposite side of the light source aperture from the first emission surface section. The reflective surface is disposed on a side of the light diffusion panel opposite the emission surface. The light sources project light into the light diffusion panel through the edge surface. The light sources include first and second light sources. The first light source projects light into the light diffusion panel and through the first emission surface section. The second light source projects light into the light diffusion panel and through the second emission surface section.

  • Patent number: 10769111
Abstract: Cassandra SSTable data is transformed to provide data rows that are a consistent size such that data in each row has a length that is contained within a selected fixed sized kilobyte segment for deduplication. Tables of a Cassandra cluster node are translated in parallel to JSON format using Cassandra SSTableDump and the table rows are parsed to provide data rows corresponding to the data in each table row. Each row of data is padded with a predictable pattern of bits such that the data row has a length corresponding to the selected fixed segment size and has boundary locations that correspond to multiple of the selected segment size. Since each row of data starts on a segment boundary, duplicate rows of data will be identified wherever they move within a table.

  • Publication number: 20200280578
Abstract: A fraud prevention system that includes a fraud prevention server including an electronic processor and a memory. The memory includes a feature drift hardened online application origination (OAO) service. When executing the feature drift hardened OAO service, the electronic processor is configured to detect, with respect to a first OAO model, feature drift in a dataset of an online application that exceeds a predefined threshold, generate one or more feature drift hardened OAO models that mitigate the feature drift, determine a fraud score of the online application based on the one or more feature drift hardened OAO models that differentiates between a behavior of a normal user and a behavior of a nefarious actor during a submission of the online application on a device and mitigates the feature drift, and control a client server to approve, hold, or deny the online application based on the fraud score.

  • Publication number: 20200279266
Abstract: A fraud prevention system that includes a fraud prevention server including an electronic processor and a memory. The memory includes an online application origination (OAO) service. When executing the OAO service, the electronic processor is configured to determine whether the OAO service is enabled and whether a website configuration includes a list of multi-page placements for an online application, determine that input data needs to be stored in the memory and combined into multi-page input data, determine a fraud risk score of the online application based on the multi-page input data and an online application origination (OAO) model that differentiates between a behavior of a normal user and a behavior of a nefarious actor during a submission of the online application on a device, and control a client server to approve, hold, or deny the online application based on the fraud risk score that is determined.

  • Publication number: 20200279537
Abstract: A redundant display uses row and column drivers to control an active matrix of transistors arranged in a pixel array. Row drivers arranged on respective sides of the pixel array control the voltage across entire rows of the pixel array in tandem. One or more sets of column drivers control the voltage across columns of the pixel array. One or more columns of switching elements are disposed between left and right portions of the pixel array. During normal operation, the column of switching elements connects left row portions with right row portions, such that an image is displayed across the entire pixel array. Responsive to a malfunction of row drivers on one side of the pixel array, the column of switching elements isolates the left row portions from the right row portions, such that the image may be displayed only on the other side of the pixel array.

  • Patent number: 10674520
Abstract: A wireless user device exchanges data with wireless networks over wireless channels and measures communication metrics for the wireless channels. The wireless user device transfers the communication metrics to other wireless user devices and receives other communication metrics from the other wireless user devices. The wireless user device processes the communication metrics to select an optimal set of communication channels. The wireless user device disables the unselected ones of the wireless channels. The wireless user device exchanges wireless data with the wireless networks over the optimal set of wireless communication channels.

  • Patent number: 10609708
Abstract: A method and system to help control transmission over an air interface from a base station to a served WCD. When the base station has a threshold small quantity of data to transmit over the air to a WCD, the base station will schedule the transmission to occur in a downlink PRB of a special subframe, rather than in a PRB of a regular downlink subframe. As the downlink PRB of the special subframe likely has fewer useable resource elements than the PRB of the regular downlink subframe, this process could help to minimize waste of air interface resources resulting from not making use of resource elements in an allocated PRB.

  • Patent number: 10452494
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for performing storage object recovery. In one embodiment, there is disclosed a technique comprising allocating a scratch space to support recovery of a storage object, wherein the storage object comprises a set of slices and the scratch space is distinct with respect to the set of slices such that a slice allocator for allocating slices to and/or from the storage object is unaware of the existence of the scratch space. The technique also comprises taking offline the storage object for facilitating recovery of the storage object after at least a portion of the set of slices have been allocated. The technique further comprises performing a storage object recovery procedure to recover the storage object while the storage object is offline. The storage object recovery procedure utilizing the scratch space that was allocated to support the storage object recovery.

  • Publication number: 20190270003
Abstract: Enhancements to existing gaming controllers facilitating expedient response time and fine-tuned accuracy are described. The enhancements comprise the internal modification of the stock resistance force supplied by the analog stick centering spring mechanism. Through modification, the force of resistance supplied may be increased to over 200 grams of force, or down to 40 grams of force, while maintaining full function of the analog stick mechanism. A second primary enhancement replaces the stock triggers, conventionally equipped with progressive resistance sensors, to a momentary ‘snap-action’ two-way switch, minimizing trigger pull distance, and removing the analog nature of the trigger to achieve optimal performance.
