  • Publication number: 20110044503
Abstract: A vehicle travel support device determines presence of a recognition inhibiting factor of a lane mark on a road on which a vehicle is traveling with high accuracy irrespective of an imaging history by a vehicular camera from the same position. The vehicle travel support system generates an edge image by extracting an edge or actualizing an edge in an image obtained through the vehicular camera. When Hough transform of the edge image is performed, votes for a specified vote value of a linear component is evaluated in a ?-? space (Hough space). Presence of a recognition inhibiting factor of a lane mark on a road is determined by determining whether or not the votes of a specified vote value in a specified region denoting a standard travel lane of a vehicle in the real space is ?a threshold in the ?-? space.

  • Publication number: 20100245701
Abstract: To provide a mirror with a monitor for a vehicle that allows display light to pass through a region of a mirror surface thereof to be visually recognized by a viewer, in which the viewability of the display is improved while suppressing the cost increase. A region of a mirror element that transmits display light is formed of a wire grid having a polarization direction that agrees with the polarization direction of the display light. A region of the mirror element adjacent to the wire grid is formed of a reflective film formed of a reflective metal film or a dielectric multilayer film. The grid of the wire grid is formed of Al thin lines, for example. The reflective film is formed of a Cr half mirror, for example. • Publication number: 20100238292
Abstract: To facilitate discrimination of a curb, a gutter or the like by using an infrared illuminating device and an infrared-sensitive image pickup device mounted on an exterior mirror of a vehicle when the vehicle is pulled over to a shoulder at night. Two illuminating devices having optical axes oriented downward are mounted on a housing of a side mirror at a distance from each other in the lateral direction of a vehicle. The illuminating devices alternately emit infrared light downwardly. An image pickup device sensitive to infrared light having an optical axis oriented downward is mounted on the housing at a middle position between the left and right illuminating devices. An image taken by the image pickup device is displayed on an image monitor disposed at a position where the monitor can be viewed from the driver seat.

  • Publication number: 20090271027
Abstract: The turning machine according to the present invention includes a displacement sensor (200) which measures a distance between an immobile reference point and a position of variable point which reflects the positional displacement of the tool, the immobile reference point being able to determine a relative positional correlation relating to a variable position of tools with the progress of machining of the workpiece (W) by the tool (421). In drawings the reference point is set up in the guide bush (90). And based on the measured result by the displacement sensor, the tool is moved so that the center height of the tool and the center line of the workpiece satisfy relatively the predetermined positional correlation. • Patent number: 7448304
Abstract: A main spindle and a back spindle grip works W, respectively. Or, the main spindle grips one end of a work W and the back spindle grips the other end of the work W. A tool is attached to a tool spindle. By adjusting the positions of the spindles and the position of the tool spindle, the work W gripped by the main spindle and the back spindle is machined by the tool. Since tool spindle can change the direction of the tool, the work W, including both ends thereof, can be entirely machined into a complex shape. A guide bush supports the work W to prevent the work W from being bent when a lengthy work W is machined. Therefore, this lathe can entirely machine a long or short work into a complex shape.

  • Patent number: 7270432
Abstract: A mirror (18) having a specular surface changeable in orientation using an actuator (16) is provided with an angle detection capability at reduced cost. A plate pivot (10) can change its orientation together with the specular surface so as to orient in a direction in which the specular surface is orienting. A slide block (20) is stressed toward the plate pivot (10) so that rotation of the plate pivot (10) causes the slide block (20) to move in a direction substantially perpendicular to the specular surface by an amount proportional to an amount of the rotation of the plate pivot (10). A magnet (26) moves in the direction of movement of the slide block (20) by an amount proportional to an amount of the movement of the slide block (20), and a magnetism sensing element (202) detects magnetism derived from the magnet (26) and outputs a signal corresponding to the amount of movement of the magnet (26).
