  • Patent number: 10941651
Abstract: A complete telemetry system and methods for downhole operations. The telemetry system includes an instrumented near-bit sub located below the Mud Motor and connected to the drill bit as well as a conventional MWD tool located above the mud motor. Parameters such as inclination of the borehole, the natural gamma ray of the formations, the electrical resistivity of the formations, and a range of mechanical drilling performance parameters are measured. Electromagnetic telemetry signals representing these measurements are transmitted uphole to a receiver associated with the conventional MWD tool located above the motor, and transmitted by this tool to the surface via mud pulse signals. The system is particularly useful for accurate control over the drilling of extended reach and horizontally drilled wells.

  • Publication number: 20130246779
Abstract: Approaches for calling firmware runtime services of a basic input/output system. A special globally unique identifier and a name are sent to PURE virtual variable stores by an operating system. The PURE virtual variable stores identify the special globally unique identifier and the name, for example, by checking in the PURE virtual variable stores to ascertain if the special identifier and the name correspond to a firmware runtime service of the basic input/output system. A corresponding firmware runtime service of the basic input/output system is called. The firmware runtime service of the basic input output system then executes.

  • Publication number: 20070152013
Abstract: A nail gun back cover includes a back cover shell body made of magnesium alloy. The inner side of the shell body includes a first cylinder and a second cylinder surrounding the first cylinder extensively formed therein. A groove is formed between the first cylinder and the second cylinder. In addition, a valve mechanism is formed in the shell body. The valve mechanism includes a fixed valve securely connected to the first cylinder and a movable valve contained in the groove. The movable valve can move relative to the fixed valve so as to control the air flow. Furthermore, some elastic bodies are used to touch the end surfaces of the groove and the movable valve. Moreover, a fixed ring is securely fastened to the back cover, so as to limit the range of movement of the movable valve. In this manner, the overall weight of the nail gun is reduced, making the nail gun much easier to operate.

  • Patent number: 7190576
Abstract: An internally disposed cooling device is provided. The cooling device includes a cooling member and a docket member. The cooling member includes a first cooling unit, a second unit and a cryogenic element. The cryogenic element has a cold surface that contacts the first cooling unit, and a hot surface that contacts the second cooling unit. Since the cold surface of the cryogenic element has a temperature much lower than that of the room temperature, the first cooling unit can thus produce cold and dry air to cool down the electronic apparatus. Meanwhile, the second cooling unit is employed to dissipate heat generated from the cryogenic element.
