Abstract: A handheld device for capturing image is provided, where a micro flat panel display serves as a viewfinder for capturing image as well as a display for displaying image, so that size and power consumption of the device are both significantly reduced. A structure with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connector configures the device to directly hookup a USB interface of a computer, thus neither a cable nor an external stand is required for connection purpose. On the other hand, it is quite handy for a user to charge the device through USB as the device transmits data to a computer via direct connection.

Abstract: The method of the invention provides novel compounds, termed acid-labile isotope-coded extractants (ALICE), for quantitative mass spectrometric analysis of protein mixtures. The compounds contain a thiol-reactive group that is used to capture cysteine-containing peptides from all peptide mixtures, an acid-labile linker, and a non-biological polymer. One of the two acid-labile linkers is isotopically labeled and therefore enables the direct quantitation of peptides/proteins through mass spectrometric analysis. Because no functional proteins are required to capture peptides, a higher percentage of organic solvent can be used to solubilize the peptides, particularly hydrophobic peptides, through the binding, washing and eluting steps, thus permitting much better recover of peptides. Moreover, since the peptides are covalently linked to the non-biological polymer (ALICE), more stringent washing is allowed in order to completely remove non-specifically bound species.

Abstract: A flashlight control device and an operating method thereof are provided. The present invention utilizes the light-tuning circuit to optics-electricity converse the reflected light (from the target object) to the exposure voltage. When the exposure voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the flashlight stops light-emission because it means the amount of the light-emission amount is adequate. When the exposure voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the flashlight continues to emit the incident light because the amount of the light-emission is not adequate. Hence, occurrence of the over-exposure or under-exposure problems can be effectively eliminated.

Abstract: The present invention provides a protective strap and the method of manufacturing the same. The method includes the steps of providing an elongated strap-like base layer; printing a predetermined drawing on a surface of the base layer, wherein the drawing is formed of a plurality of color bits having a color different from that of the base layer; heating and pressurizing the color bits of the base layer at the same time to enable the base layer to form a plurality of concavities on its surface, wherein each of the color bits is positioned in one of the concavities.

Abstract: A shaft handle comprises a tube body and a ribbon covering tube body. The ribbon comprises a flexible layer and an anti-slipping layer attached on the flexible layer. The thickness of the anti-slipping layer is smaller than that of the flexible layer. The total thickness of the ribbon is about 1.2 to about 2.4 cm.

Abstract: A fastening device for heat slug includes a frame, two projections and a heat slug. The frame defines an accommodating space therein. The projections are formed on the frame. The heat slug has a plurality of shoulders and is located in the accommodating space. The frame abuts against the shoulders of the heat slug. Thereby the fastening device of the invention is compatible with different types of CPU such as Pentium IV and K7 types.

Abstract: A protective strap includes a base layer and a top layer bonded to the base layer. The base layer is fastened to a handle of a sporting apparatus or a sleeve fitted onto the handle. The top layer, which is made of rubber and is smaller in thickness than the base layer, is provided with not only shock-absorptive and skidproof effects but also holding comfortableness. Additionally, the top layer is larger in width than the base layer such that a space is formed under where the top layer is overlapped while the protective strap is spirally wound around the handle or the sleeve. When the sporting apparatus is rotated in a direction opposite to a direction around which the protective strap is wound, the top layer can be partially deformed toward the space to absorb an external force such that the protective strap will not be turnup.

Abstract: A protective strap is disclosed to include a base layer, a top layer, and a needle thread. The top layer is bonded to a top side of the base layer. The needle thread is exposed on a top side of the top layer so as to form a predetermined design by an embroidering method. The predetermined design can not only provide skidproof effect but also enhance flexibility of design alteration. Additionally, the needle thread runs into the protective strap in different deepness such that the combination between each two layers can be enhanced.

Abstract: A nail cartridge structure for a nail gun has at least two nail cartridges and a nail cartridge switching unit that is connected to a front end of the gun body. The nail cartridges are used to hold either one size of nails or different sizes of nails, respectively. The nail cartridge switching unit is connected to the nail cartridges and is operated by the user to selectively switch the nail feed to the desired nail cartridge.

The cushion assembly is received in the sole of a shoe and the posts can be deformed in the direction from which a load is applied. Abstract: A golf club grip sleeve includes a sleeve member and an annular skirt member. The sleeve member has a sleeve body and an annular stopper. The sleeve body is provided with an opening at an end thereof The stopper is located at an external periphery of the sleeve body and is extended for a predetermined length from an end beside the opening of the sleeve body towards the other end of the sleeve body. The skirt member is extended outwards from the end beside the opening of the sleeve body and is longer than the stopper so as to be turned back to cover the stopper.

Abstract: A radiator with positioning and buckling structure includes multiple metal plates, each of which has a main body, and a folded side portion is connected to one or two sides of the main body. The positioning and buckling structure is disposed on each of the metal plates. The positioning and buckling structure includes a snapping piece extending from the folded side portion. The snapping piece has a cleaved groove thereon and at two sides of the snapping piece there is provided two hooking portions. A buckling slot is disposed on the folded side portion of the metal plate corresponding to the snapping piece. The buckling slot is connected to a rear opening having a smaller width than the width of the snapping piece so that the metal plates can be stacked together.

The positioning structure comprises a protrusion located on the main body of the metal plate, an aperture being formed on the main body, the protrusion formed in the aperture; and a resilient snapping piece located on the folded side portion, the snapping piece corresponding to the protrusion and defining a buckling opening therein, the buckling opening being connected to a front opening having a width normally smaller than the width of the protrusion.

Abstract: A stool includes a post with a seat and a base respectively connected to a top end and a lower end of the post. A foot rest having a tube located at a center of the ring is movably mounted to the post. A C-shaped secure bush is received in the tube and mounted on the post. The tube has a semi-circular lip extending from an end thereof and a secure piece has a fist end pivotally connected to a first end of the lip. A second end of the secure piece is connected to a second end of the lip by a quick release device so that the secure piece pushes the secure bush toward the post by operating the cam device. The position of the foot rest can be adjustable by operating the quick release device.

Abstract: A heat dissipation assembly includes a base with a ridge and multiple fins mounted on top of the base. Each of the fins has a plate with a cutout defined in a mediate portion of a bottom edge to correspond to the ridge of the base, two first bends respectively extending from opposite sides of the cutout in a same direction from the bottom edge and a second bend formed on a top edge of the cutout. The fins are able to be securely mounted on top of the base via the two first bends.

Abstract: An office chair includes a seat with a seat post which is movably inserted into a base. The base has a plurality of legs extending therefrom and a recess is defined in a top of the tube. Two clamp members are connected by two expandable members which bias the clamp members in opposite directions. A cover is mounted to the base and the seat post extends through the cover. The seat post is clamped by the two clamp members and a releasing member extends through the cover and the hole in the tube and engages with one of the two clamp members.

Abstract: The invention is generally directed to an intraluminal catheter system with an improved transition between a proximal shaft portion and a more flexible distal shaft portion. The improvement provides enhanced flexibility and kink-resistance, thus, facilitating advancement through tortuous anatomy. The present catheters may be used for either or both angioplasty and stent deployment.

Abstract: A heat dissipation fin includes multiple unit each having a top, a first side and a second side and multiple bridges each connecting every two adjacent units together and connected to each one of the units at a fold. The bridge has a front side and a rear side and the top of the unit has a first side in parallel with the front side and a second side in parallel with the rear side of the bridge. Each front side has a width smaller than a width of each rear side and each first side has a width smaller than a width of each second side.

Abstract: An office chair includes a frame having a tube with a tapered inner periphery and a plurality of legs extend from the tube. A C-shaped sleeve is movably received in the tube and has a tapered outer periphery. The sleeve has a threaded inner periphery so as to be threadedly engaged with a seat post. Two notches are defined in the tapered outer periphery of the sleeve so that two pins extend through the tube and are engaged with the two notches to restrict the sleeve from being rotated. The sleeve is firmly clamp the seat post when a load is applied downward the seat post. When lifting the seat post, the sleeve is raised and loosened so that the seat post is adjustable.
