    Abstract: According to embodiments, a UE receives a first signaling including a first configuration of a first CSI-RS for tracking for an SCell. The first configuration is associated with a first ID. The UE receives a second signaling including a second configuration of an RS for fast SCell activation of the SCell. The second configuration is associated with a second ID. The second configuration includes the first ID. The UE receives a MAC CE message including an SCell activation command indicating to activate the SCell and the second ID. The UE receives the RS for the fast SCell activation of the SCell. The RS includes a first burst of the first CSI-RS for tracking. The UE performs SCell activation for activating the SCell based at least on the RS upon receiving the SCell activation command. The UE sends a report indicating that the SCell is activated for the UE.

Configuring the at least one target TRP results in the at least one target TRP being configured to act as a secondary serving TRP to the UE. The method also includes configuring at least one target TRP and the UE with corresponding dedicated access resource and monitoring opportunities. The method also includes activating a connection and data communication between the UE and the at least one pre-configured secondary serving TRP.

One example method includes determining, by a network entity, a predicted time of entering and a predicted duration of stay of a user equipment (UE) in each cell of a plurality of cells according to a predicted route of the UE, the predicted route including predicted UE locations at corresponding predicted times. The network entity can then determine mobility prediction information according to the predicted time of entering and the predicted duration of stay of the UE in each cell of the plurality of cells. The network entity can then transmit the mobility prediction information to the UE.

    Abstract: A method is provided a wireless system for providing small “guard” cells in a heterogeneous network at locations proximate to privately-maintained HeNB (or femto) cells in the heterogeneous network. More particularly, the methodology of the invention addresses the problem of a mobile user in a heterogeneous network located nearby to a privately maintained HeNB cell in the heterogeneous network, and the inherent interference created for the HeNB cell by the necessity of the mobile user having to transmit and receive communications from a distant public macro eNB. By deploying small public “guard” cells in the macro cell proximate to the private HeNB cells, such a public mobile terminal is enabled to communicate with the public small cell at generally lower power than would have been necessary for communication with the distant macro eNB, with a resulting reduction in interference for the nearby HeNB cell. The FL interference between the macro cell and the HeNBs is also mitigated.
