  • Publication number: 20160074324
Abstract: The present invention provides a slow and controlled released liposomal gel composition for subcutaneous administration comprises insulin or exenatide as active ingredient for reduction of blood sugar level and method of preparation thereof. Said controlled released composition has high bioavailability and is demonstrated to be able to sustain release therapeutically effective concentration of drug over a period of time and without rapid release of drug after initial administration. Method of preparing the controlled released composition of the present invention comprises the following steps: mixing insulin or exenatide, lipid and aqueous dispersion medium together; then mixing with poloxamer (e.g. F127 or P123) and/or gelatin and hyaluronic acid (HA) or the like gel solution so as to form a protective layer on surface of every lipid micro vesicles or nano-vesicles for use in intramuscular, abdominal and subcutaneous administration.

  • Publication number: 20150060507
Abstract: A housing to locate sunglasses or clip-on sunglasses directly in front of a driver by securing the sunglasses or clip-on sunglasses in a container clipped to the sun visor of an automobile. In addition, the sunglasses or clip-on sunglasses are held firmly in place in a compartment of different configurations such that the sunglasses or clip-on sunglasses are readily available in a position immediately in front of a driver. The container is secured to the visor by a wire clip or other appropriate connection to the sun visor. A portion of the compartment folds away from the portion of the container which is clipped or fixed to the visor. The movable portion of the container is held firmly in place in a closed position as well as in an open condition by a magnet or other secure connection device.

  • Publication number: 20130030122
Abstract: A composition is provided, which comprises chains comprising a first graft copolymer of a first elastomer and a poly(L-lactic acid), and chains comprising a second graft copolymer of a second elastomer and a poly(D-lactic acid). At least some of the poly(L-lactic acid) and poly(D-lactic acid) crosslink the chains. Poly(L-lactic acid) and poly(D-lactic acid) may form stereocomplexes that crosslink the chains. The chains may be crosslinked by crystalline structures formed from at least some of the poly(L-lactic acid) and poly(D-lactic acid) in discrete regions. The crosslinked chains may form a matrix. In a method of forming the composition, the first and second graft copolymers are mixed, such as by melt blending or solution casting, to form the composition. The graft copolymers may be formed by a “grafting-though” or “grafting-from” process. The composition may be useful under a relatively wide range of temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20130030128
Abstract: The brittleness of a thermoplastic material containing a polylactic acid may be reduced by melting and mixing the thermoplastic material and a graft copolymer to link the graft copolymer to thermoplastic polymer to form a new thermoplastic material with reduced brittleness. The graft copolymer comprises an elastomeric backbone and a side chain grafted to the backbone. The side chain comprises a enantiomer of lactic acid opposite to the enantiomer in the thermoplastic material. A composition comprises a thermoplastic polymer and the graft copolymer, where the graft copolymer is linked to the thermoplastic polymer by the enantiomers. A method of forming the composition may comprise melting precursors for the thermoplastic polymer and the graft copolymer, and mixing the precursors to allow the lactic acids to link the graft copolymer to the thermoplastic polymer.

  • Publication number: 20110176393
Abstract: This present invention discloses a quartz timepiece which can be operated without battery, which comprises an environmental-friendly electricity supply component and a quartz clock movement connected to each other, and a super capacitor serially connected to the environmental-friendly electricity supply component. The present environmental-friendly quartz timepiece operates with the super capacitor and other natural power supply unit (such as light absorbing plate and hydro-power supply device) to supply power to the timing component of the timepiece. The charge and discharge cycles of the super capacitor can reach up to a million times and are sufficient to maintain the operational life of the timepiece, and so users do not need to replace the standard battery. As a result, the timepiece is relatively simple and reasonable in structure, energy saving and environmental-friendly. The environmental-friendly quartz timepiece further provides an electricity monitoring unit in the power supply circuit.
