  • Publication number: 20230185578
Abstract: In an example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a method may include receiving by a controller a BIOS image, extracting a current manufacturing programming mode state corresponding to a computer system. A BIOS personality of the BIOS image is evaluated, wherein the BIOS personality is based on a differentiation of hardware and software functionality. Based on the current manufacturing programming state and the BIOS personality, a compatibility with the computer system is determined. Based on the compatibility, the BIOS image is written to non-volatile memory.

  • Publication number: 20230146692
Abstract: A PERC solar cell selective emitter includes a silicon wafer, first and second doped regions and a laser doped region with doped layers. First doped regions are located between the doped regions of each doped layer, and each second doped region is located between two adjacent doped layers. The PERC solar cell includes the selective emitter, a front anti-reflective layer on the surface of a front passivation layer, and a positive electrode. The positive electrode includes first silver paste layers on the surfaces of the laser doped regions and second silver paste layers on the surface of the front anti-reflective layer corresponding to the first doped regions. The second silver paste layers are in electrical contact with the first silver paste layers. Damage of laser to silicon wafers is reduced, compounding in silver paste areas is reduced, an open circuit voltage is increased, and battery efficiency is improved.

  • Publication number: 20230079857
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a mapper that determines a mapping candidate corresponding to a description included in the input data from among hierarchically structured classes or properties included in a standard data model. The mapper detects a class or a property that exactly matches or partially matches, with respect to a schema included in the input data and a content thereof, the content from a class hierarchical structure of the standard data model and a set of properties defined for a class, and determines a first mapping candidate based on the detected class or property.

  • Patent number: 11582024
Abstract: A decentralized public key management system for named data networks based on blockchain, which solves the Compromised Certificate Authority (CA) Problem. The system divides the power of an individual CA among multiple Public Key Miners (PKMiners) that maintain the public key blockchains. The majority rule in name-principal validation allows the present invention to tolerate compromised PKMiners without causing any damage.

  • Patent number: 11512156
Abstract: Poly(aryl piperidinium) polymers with pendant cationic groups are provided which have an alkaline-stable cation, piperidinium, introduced into a rigid aromatic polymer backbone free of ether bonds. Hydroxide exchange membranes or hydroxide exchange ionomers formed from these polymers exhibit superior chemical stability, hydroxide conductivity, decreased water uptake, good solubility in selected solvents, and improved mechanical properties in an ambient dry state as compared to conventional hydroxide exchange membranes or ionomers. Hydroxide exchange membrane fuel cells comprising the poly(aryl piperidinium) polymers with pendant cationic groups exhibit enhanced performance and durability at relatively high temperatures.

  • Patent number: 11500978
Abstract: Examples associated with password updates are described. One example method includes receiving a request to modify an administrator password in a basic input/output system (BIOS). The administrator password may be updated. A first password tied to the administrator password may be identified. A first updated password is generated by concatenating a character string to the administrator password. The character string may be generated based on a password policy for the first password. The first password may then be updated to the first updated password.

  • Patent number: 11489771
Abstract: A Forwarding Information Base (FIB) caching system and scheme that selects and generates a minimal number of non-overlapping prefixes for the FIB cache to improve computer-based network communications and operations efficiency, accuracy and speed. Because the cached prefixes do not cover any longer prefixes in the full FIB, the present invention thus avoids cache-hiding issues. The system further comprises a FIB caching updating component that systematically handles cache misses, cache replacement, and routing updates.

  • Patent number: 11445905
Abstract: A heterogeneous visual acuity chart and a visual acuity testing method and device are provided. The heterogeneous visual acuity chart is a size illusion chart composed of a heterogeneous reference zone and at least two types of optotypes of different sizes, where the heterogeneous reference zone is used to cause incorrect identification on the different types of optotypes of different sizes. The visual acuity testing method and device determine whether a visual acuity of a subject is true based on a difference between visual acuities tested with the heterogeneous visual acuity chart and a standard logarithmic visual acuity chart. The visual acuity chart is a size illusion chart composed of optotypes of different sizes and a perspective, which causes an illusion on a visual depth to interfere with the identification of the optotypes of different sizes.

  • Patent number: 11429368
Abstract: A storage may store machine-readable instructions for execution by a processor. Execution of the machine-readable instructions may cause the processor to receive an update capsule via a firmware update interface. The update capsule may include a device identifier and a payload. The payload may include data that is different from a firmware update. Execution of the machine-readable instructions may cause the processor to execute a virtual device handler, based on the device identifier, to process the payload.

  • Patent number: 11409876
Abstract: The update progress of a basic input/output system (BIOS) is displayed on a display screen. A first chipset lock is applied to a first region of a shared serial peripheral interface (SPI) chip of the BIOS of a computer system containing a first program of instructions. A system management memory mode lock is applied to a second and a third region of the shared SPI chip containing a second and third programs of instructions respectively. The second program of instructions is updated, and control of the BIOS is transferred to the updated second program of instructions. The updated second program of instructions updates the first program of instructions. The BIOS update progress visual is displayed on the display screen of the computer system while updating the first program of instructions.
