  • Publication number: 20210365546
Abstract: Examples associated with password updates are described. One example method includes receiving a request to modify an administrator password in a basic input/output system (BIOS). The administrator password may be updated. A first password tied to the administrator password may be identified. A first updated password is generated by concatenating a character string to the administrator password. The character string may be generated based on a password policy for the first password. • Patent number: 10935495
Abstract: The present invention discloses a detection and analysis method for urine-modified nucleoside based on a surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy technology. In the method, a tumor marker modified nucleoside in the urine of a normal person and a cancer patient is extracted through the specificity of borophenylic acid gel; Au colloid is taken as an enhancing substrate to detect SERRS signals; and statistical analysis is conducted by using PLS-DA algorithms to establish a diagnosis and identification model for the SERRS of the urine-modified nucleoside. The model is used to discriminate that the to-be-detected urine-modified nucleoside belongs to the normal person or the cancer patient. After PLS-DA, the surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy data of the urine-modified nucleoside of the present invention has specificity of 96.9%, sensitivity of 98.2% and accuracy of 97.6%.

  • Publication number: 20200320198
Abstract: An example device comprises a plurality of components and a BIOS includes a non-volatile memory having instructions stored thereon that are executable by a processor of the device to cause the BIOS to determine a component identification (ID) of a component of the plurality of components, and fetch a plurality of recall component IDs. The instructions also are to cause the BIOS to compare the determined component ID with the plurality of recall component IDs. In response to a correspondence between the determined component ID and one recall component ID of the plurality of component IDs, the BIOS is to transmit signals representing a prompt to place the component of the plurality of components in a safety mode. The instructions also cause the BIOS to receive signals in response to the prompt and, responsive to the received signals, disable the component of the plurality of components.
