Abstract: A method, a terminal, an apparatus, and a system for device management (DM) are provided. Specifically, a DM terminal, a DM apparatus, method for managing the terminal device are provided. The method for managing the terminal device includes the following steps: adding, by a DM terminal device, amanagement nodes in a DM tree of the DM terminal device; and recording, by the DM terminal device, MOs types supported by the DM terminal device in the management nodes added in the DM tree of the DM terminal device. Therefore, the problem that the server does not know the DM applications supported by the terminal, and in the method, a specific management operation is delivered to make the management of the server more flexible and effective.

Abstract: A method for installing software components includes: a terminal receives a software component package delivered by a Device Management (DM) server directly or a download address of the component package and a command instructing to download delivered by the DM server, where the software component package contains more than one software component; if the terminal receives the download address and the command instructing to download, the terminal downloads the software component package from the download address; the terminal installs the obtained software component package locally and generates management nodes and subnodes of the management nodes corresponding to the software components under a Deployed subtree of the Software Component Management Object (SCOMO) of the terminal. With the present invention, the process of installing software component is more reasonable. A system and apparatus for installing software components are also provided.

Abstract: An authentication method is disclosed herein. The method includes: by a server, using a Trigger message nonce to generate a Trigger message, and sending the generated Trigger message to a client so that the client can extract the Trigger message nonce; after determining that the Trigger message nonce is valid, using the Trigger message nonce to generate a digest, and authenticating the Trigger message generated by using the Trigger message nonce; after the authentication succeeds, sending a session request to the server indicated by the Trigger message, where the session request carries a session ID. The corresponding system, server and client are disclosed herein. The present invention makes the authentication process more secure through the client and the server based on the DS or DM protocol.

Abstract: A method for terminal configuration and management includes: acquiring a configuration file, where the configuration file includes server account information; configuring the server account information in the acquired configuration file onto a Device Management Tree (DMT) of a terminal; based on the server account information, establishing a management session between the terminal and the server, and performing management and subsequent configuration on the terminal during the session. A corresponding terminal device and a corresponding system are also provided. Through the method, the terminal can determine, according to protocol version information supported by or corresponding to the corresponding server and carried in a configuration packet, a protocol that should be used for communication with a server, and perform configuration according to the correct protocol version, thus improving the operation efficiency.

Abstract: A method, system, and device for network selection are provided. The method for network selection includes the following steps. After network selection is triggered, a network selection list stored in a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) and a network selection list stored in a Mobile Equipment (ME) are read, where the UICC is embedded in the ME and accessible to the ME. Network selection is performed according to the network selection list stored in the UICC and the network selection list stored in the ME. Also, a method for network selection through a network selection policy is added and methods for implementing a type and a data structure of a network selection policy as well as a method for network selection based on a network selection policy are provided, so that network selection can be controlled more flexibly, a terminal can locate a target network faster, and time consumed for the network selection is reduced.

Abstract: A method for access control in device management includes: by a terminal, receiving a command that includes a node identifier of a target ID from a server; judging whether the server rights meet preset rights; running the command when the server rights meet the preset rights and the server has an access right (ACL) of the target node identified by the node identifier. The present invention solves the problem that the MOs are beyond control because any server can create any type of MOs in the terminal, thus improving the security of the system. A system and terminal for access control in device management are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a reporting processing method for User Agent Profile (UAP) information including: issuing, by an origin server, a reporting policy to a user client to instruct the user client to report UAP information according to the reporting policy; and reporting, by the user client, the UAP information according to the reporting policy issued by the origin server. The invention also discloses an origin server including a reporting policy issuing unit adapted to issue a reporting policy to a user client to instruct the user client to report UAP information according to the reporting policy; and a UAP user client including a UAP information reporting unit adapted to report UAP information of the user client according to a reporting policy issued by the origin server. The invention can enable the user client in a UAP system to report the UAP information with more flexibility and diversity.

A notification message for requesting to establish a session sent by a session requester is received, in which the notification message carries session management information related to the session. Abstract: The present invention provides methods for transmitting SyncML synchronization data. One is that the originator constructs a SyncML message after encrypting the user data to be transmitted and then transmits the data in an existing transmission way; the user data includes, but is not confined to, authentication information, terminal capability information and the data to be synchronized; the other method is that the originator encrypts the SyncML message in the transport layer before transmitting the message, and the recipient deciphers the received SyncML message from transport layer and processes the message subsequently. The two methods can be used either separately or together. If they are used together, the transmission of SyncML synchronization data is provided with double safety insurance. By using the present invention, user data can be transmitted safely without being intercepted by the third party.

A Get command on an access control list (ACL) of a managed node in a device management tree (DMT) from a device management (DM) server is received, where the Get command includes a Unified Resource Identity (URI) of the managed node. It is determined whether the DM server has a direct right of executing the Get command on the managed node. The Get command is processed when it is determined that the DM server has the direct right of executing the Get command on the managed node. The method and the device simplify the complexity of right management, and reduce the number of times of message interaction between the DM server and a terminal device, thereby improving the efficiency and performance of terminal device management.
