  • Publication number: 20090205423
Abstract: An angular velocity sensor includes a supporting substrate, a detecting portion, a displacement detecting portion, a first driving portion, and a second driving portion. The detecting portion is supported by the supporting substrate movably in at least a free direction. The displacement detecting portion detects a displacement of the detecting portion in the free direction. The first driving portion excites a first reference oscillation of at least a portion of the detecting portion so that a first Coriolis' force in the free direction is generated in response to an angular velocity about a first axis. The second driving portion excites a second reference oscillation of at least a portion of the detecting portion so that a second Coriolis' force in the free direction is generated in response to an angular velocity about a second axis.

  • Patent number: 7379089
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring the immediate surroundings of a vehicle displays on a display within the vehicle cabin a captured image of the vehicle immediate surroundings captured by a camera mounted on a back door which can open and close. The apparatus determines whether the back door is open based on a signal output from a back door courtesy switch. If it is determined that the back door is open, a written notification that the back door is open is superimposed on the display showing the captured image from the camera. If it is determined that the back door is not open, the written notification is not shown.

  • Publication number: 20070236563
Abstract: A front camera for filming an area stretching forwards is disposed in a front portion of a vehicle. A side camera for filming an area stretching laterally and diagonally forwards is disposed in a lateral-left portion of the vehicle. An indicator display that can be visually recognized by a driver is disposed in a compartment of the vehicle. An amount of change in the direction of the vehicle, that is, a deflection angle of the vehicle is detected on the basis of a vehicle speed and a steering angle of a steering wheel, which have been detected by means of various sensors. After the indicator display has started displaying a lateral photo image filmed by the side camera, the photo image displayed by the indicator display is shifted from the lateral photo image filmed by the side camera to a front photo image filmed by the front camera if the deflection angle has reached a predetermined angle.

  • Publication number: 20070064233
Abstract: A method of adjusting optical imaging system is provided to finely adjust arrangement of optical elements with sensitivity. Illumination light with a predetermined wavelength band is irradiated to an adjustment mark including first marks disposed at a first pitch and second marks disposed at a second pitch different from the first pitch. An image is captured according to light, of diffracted light emitted from the adjustment mark, passing through an aperture stop and reaching an image surface of the optical imaging system. A positional deviation between the first and second marks is calculated with symmetric/asymmetric property of luminance information. Based on respective positional deviations calculated while the wavelength band of illumination light is changed, arrangement of optical elements between a pupil plane and an aperture stop surface of the optical imaging system is finely adjusted, to correct imaging positional deviation of a pupil image on the aperture stop surface.
