  • Patent number: 11032954
Abstract: A shield can assembly is described. In one or more implementations, a frame is installed on a printed circuit board (PCB) by using a cross-bar connected to opposing sides of the frame to place the frame on the PCB. Subsequent to installation of the frame on the PCB, the cross-bar is removed from the frame. Once the cross-bar is removed, one or more flexible printed circuits (FPCs) are installed on the PCB. Then, a lid is connected to the frame to from a shield can over the FPCs.

  • Patent number: 10812605
Abstract: Method, and corresponding system, for establishing data communications with, and instructing, industrial machines in multiple locations. The method includes generating, using a first application, one or more machine communication messages. Each machine communication message contains data produced by one of a plurality of machines located at a first location. An instance of the first application runs on a processor of each of the plurality of machines. The method further includes sending the machine communication messages to a first message queue via a local area network. The method further includes retrieving, using a first server at a remote location connected via a network, the machine communication messages from the first message queue; and extracting from the messages, at the remote location, the data produced by the plurality of machines. The sending of the machine communication messages and the retrieving of the machine communication messages are done asynchronously.

  • Publication number: 20200222838
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fluid modification system having a container structure and a plurality of independent, ceramic elements. The ceramic elements may be arranged in random orientations and contained in the container structure, thus causing a fluid flow entering the container structure at any given cross-section location to flow over the surfaces of a first subplurality of the ceramic elements, and through the porous walls of a second subplurality of the ceramic elements, before exiting at a second location of the container structure. Each one of the ceramic elements has at least one of a nanofibrous or nanoporous microstructure to enable internal flow both through a wall structure thereof, and over and around the wall structure to affect performance.

  • Patent number: 10375865
Abstract: The edge shields disclosed herein utilize a plated edge surface of a PCB to form one or more sides of an electronic shield to reduce the amount of top surface area of the PCB occupied by the electronic shield. More specifically, an edge shield lid is mechanically attached to the plated edge surface to remove a need for solder overprint at the edge of the PCB. The edge shield lid is soldered, welded, adhered, or mechanically attached to edge walls where there is no available edge surface for attachment.

Abstract: A system and method for evaluating loads of a potential wind farm site for multiple wind scenarios includes (a) receiving, via a computer server, site data of the potential wind farm site representing at least one wind scenario for at least one wind turbine at the potential wind farm site. Further, the method includes (b) selecting, via a user interface, a wind farm configuration based on the at least one wind scenario. The method also includes (c) selecting, via the user interface, a time period for the at least one wind scenario. Thus, the method includes (d) automatically generating, via the computer server, a mechanical loads analysis for the selected wind farm configuration and the time period.

  • Patent number: 10239009
Abstract: A continuously-operable flow stream processing system and method has two or more fluid processing media arranged in a fluid conduit network to provide alternate flow paths for a flow stream to be processed (e.g. filtered). Valves and other flow control devices, e.g. controller module and sensors, are used to redirect the flow stream from one or more service-needed fluid processing media to service-ready fluid processing media without taking the system offline to remove, repair, replace, clean in situ, or otherwise service the service-needed fluid processing media, so that the system may operate continuously to process the flow stream without stoppage. Redirection into alternative flow paths and media may be automatically implemented based on a predetermined threshold or trigger condition, such as may be detected by sensors directly or indirectly monitoring media condition.
