In some examples, the client (e.g., the cloud service) may send a service request that requests data from the server (e.g., data source) processed according to one or more desired features from the server. The response from the data source may include feature indicators, which may indicate whether various features are supported at the data source.

Abstract: A system and method for parameter driven data format conversion in a client/server architecture are disclosed. A format conversion framework is provided in a protocol layer between the client and the server. The format conversion framework passes a format conversion identifier (ID) with a request from the client from the client to the server. A conversion module is looked up by the format conversion framework based on the format conversion ID, the conversion module providing a conversion routine. The format conversion framework then executes the conversion routine on a result returned from the server to the client based on the request, the conversion routine converting a format of the result into a format used by the client.

Abstract: An aspirating smoke detector detects blockages and interruptions in a pipe system. Air is aspirated, by a ventilator and via the pipe system, from rooms and devices that are to be monitored, and monitoring takes place for any characteristics of burning. The air flow of at least one part of the aspirated air is measured, as is the air temperature. A blockage signal is emitted if the air flow falls below a predetermined lower limit value and/or an interruption signal is emitted if the air flow rises above a predetermined upper limit value. The rotational speed of the ventilator is increased as air temperature rises and reduced as air temperature lowers.

Abstract: A method evaluates two scattered-light signals in a hazard alarm operating in accordance with the scattered light principle. The particles to be detected are irradiated with light in a first wavelength range and with light in a second wavelength range. The light scattered by the particles is converted into a first and second non-normalized scattered light signal. The two scattered light signals are normalized in relation to one another such that their amplitude curve approximately coincides for larger particles such as dust and steam. The two normalized scattered light signals are transformed into a polar angle and a distance as polar coordinates of a polar coordinate system. Finally a respective smoke density signal and a respective dust/steam density signal is formed from a current distance value, wherein for this purpose the respective current distance values, depending on a current polar angle value, are weighted in opposition to one another.

Abstract: The output voltage of a LP HV charge pump is compared with a voltage reference using a comparator having hysteresis. When the output voltage exceeds the reference voltage, an input clock to the charge pump is turned off, causing the output voltage to fall due to leakage current in the non-volatile memory. After a time delay due to the hysteresis of the comparator, the input clock is turned on, causing the output voltage to rise again until the voltage reference is again exceeded at which time the input clock is again turned off again. The process repeats, resulting in a reduction of average current consumption by the LP HV charge pump.

Abstract: Particular embodiments store a business object attachment in a specific storage location associated with a business object. In this embodiment a computer receives an attachment for the business object along with information regarding the business object. The information regarding the business object may include a business object identifier and a business object type identifier. With this information, the computer defines routing attribute fields for the attachment. Using the routing attribute fields and the business object type identifier, the computer calculates a target content repository and a target path for the attachment. The computer then determines which content management system contains the target repository and interfaces with that target content management system to direct that content management system to store the attachment in the target repository at the target path.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a snapshot of data associated with one or more cloud-based applications are disclosed. Application programming interfaces (APIs) and connections associated with one or more applications registered and on a server computer and used by a company are retrieved from a table by a lookup. All data associated with the one or more applications based on the APIs and connections are also retrieved. The data associated with the one or more applications is then mapped to a client-specific representation and data format. Abstract: A system and method for processing a 3-dimensional landmark providing a 3-dimensional representation of a 3-dimensional real world object located at a predefined geographic location is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a data set containing the 3-dimensional landmark, determining a largest continuous horizontal surface of the 3-dimensional landmark, and storing the determined largest horizontal surface as road traffic area of a road network used by a user when moving on the object.

Abstract: An improved circuit interrupter assembly provides enablement of an interlock feature for a circuit interrupter situated within a cabinet having an external handle for switching the circuit interrupter between ON and OFF conditions when the cabinet door is closed. The improved circuit interrupter assembly includes a motion transfer apparatus that provides such enablement of the interlock feature for cabinets of any of a variety of depths. The motion transfer apparatus includes a Bowden cable that extends between a first retention assembly situated at the door of the cabinet and a second retention assembly situated at the interlock feature of the circuit interrupter. The Bowden cable has a biased drive cable that extends between a pair of elements and which thus transfers the motion of the cabinet door in its closed position to enable cooperation with the interlock.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of impacting the fruit production of a plant or crop by applying short-duration thermal shock streams of hot air to the plant periodically to impact the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway mechanisms in a plant thereby improving its fruit. The method includes the steps of (1) passing by the plant in a row at a speed of 1-5 mph in an improved Thermal Plant Treatment (TPT) machine, (2) ejecting from the TPT machine at least one hot stream of air in the direction of the unit plant area for no more than 15 seconds per unit plant area per pass, (3) optionally measuring the thermal shock profile that the plant is subjected with thermal sensors, and (4) repeating the thermal shock profile treatment steps (1) and (2) at pre-determined regular intervals over at least a fraction of the crop year.
