  • Patent number: 5231128
Abstract: An ethylene propylene rubber composition is disclosed, comprising 100 parts by weight of a polymer component, at least 5 parts by weight of a softener, and a hydrated magnesium silicate-based clay mineral in an amount of from 0.05 to 0.5 times the weight of said softener. The rubber composition provides a molded article free from bleeding of softeners.

  • Patent number: 5128857
Abstract: A sequence control apparatus including a counter which sequentially designates memory areas of a sequence memory to read out respective sets of operation commands to represent respective events of operation of a controllable device. The counter also sequentially designates memory areas of an interlock condition memory to read out respective sets of interlock conditions that should be satisfied for the corresponding events of operation to be performed. When each event of operation is completed, the counter is incremented or decremented, and the conditions of the controllable device are checked to determine whether the set of interlock conditions for the currently designated event of operation are satisfied.

  • Patent number: 5035081
Abstract: A double-hung window has auxiliary vertical frames mounted on respective left and right stiles of inner and outer sliding sash units without providing respective outer peripheries of rectangular stile-rail assemblies of the inner and the outer sliding sash units with frameworks wherein the inner and the outer sliding sash units are respectively constructed so as to be slidably moved up and down freely through the auxiliary vertical frames along inner and outer guide recesses formed, respectively, in the left and right vertical frame members of a window frame, so that the outer surfaces of the glasses attached to inner and outer sliding sashes can be readily cleaned, and that the weight of the inner and the outer sliding sashes can be reduced so as to reduce the resistance to sliding thereof, thereby enabling the inner and the outer sliding sashes to be slidably moved smoothly.

  • Patent number: 4809609
Abstract: A printing plate is directly mounted on a plate cylinder by first placing small holes in the non-image area of the printing plate on register holes in the plate cylinder and by then inserting register pins through the small holes and into the register holes so that the two holes are brought into complete registry with each other. Remounting a removed printing plate at the same position on the cylinder at which it was mounted before may be readily performed by relying on X-Y coordinates of the previous position for finding the corresponding register holes and then by reperforming the method as described above. This will result in a considerable reduction in the manpower required for the plate mounting operation and in the subsequent work to bring the plate into accurate registry with the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4707930
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting a relief plate for letterpress printing on a carrier sheet includes a flat table for tautly fixing the carrier sheet, a holding stand extended across the flat table in the X-direction of a coordinate system, a first cursor connected to the holding stand for indicating a position in the Y-direction, and a second cursor connected to the holding stand for indicating a position in the X-direction. The apparatus further includes a first driving device for causing the holding stand to move in the Y-direction, a second driving device for causing the second cursor to move in the X-direction, a third driving device for causing the first and second cursors to move in a vertical direction, and a control unit which is computer-programmed to control the movements of the first and second cursors in the X-, Y- and vertical directions.
