Abstract: In a system for providing visual information of a remote location to a user of a vehicle, one or more resources provide visual information of the remote location. Through an input unit, the user may select a remote location for which the visual information is to be requested and input a request for the visual information. A transmitting unit transmits the visual information from the resource to the user, and a display displays the requested visual information to the user. The system may also include a resource determining unit that determines the resource or the resources that are able to provide the requested visual information on the basis of positioning information of the remote location.

Abstract: An apparatus for grinding a planar work piece which is conveyed along a transport path defined by at least partly driven supporting rollers and pressure rollers, contains a revolving grinding element which extends into the transport path and which contacts the work piece circumferentially on its way along the transport path. A pressure device is provided which applies an elastic pressure force to the revolving grinding element in the direction of the work piece in such a way that the revolving grinding element is set flexibly against the planar work piece in such a way as to follow the contour of the latter.

Abstract: A work vehicle includes a multiple mode operational system having a work system such as a linkage and associated hydraulic cylinders of a backhoe, a braking system and a multiple mode control system. The multiple mode control system includes a central controller, a mode toggle switch and a work system control device such as an electromechanical joystick. The central controller is capable of entering at least a first operational mode and a second operational mode. In the first operational mode, the central controller manipulates the work system based on signals received from the work system control device. In the second operational mode, the central controller controls the braking system based on signals received from the work system control device.

Abstract: A wire harness protector having an open slide trough closed by a removable cover, and containing an internal wire harness carrier attached to the harness, for example by taping, and connected to the cover to slide in the trough when the cover is closed. The carrier is generally L-shaped, and the trough has a wire slot formed in a sidewall thereof generally parallel to the guide slot in the cover, such that the wire harness is redirected laterally within the trough by the carrier, with an incoming end sliding longitudinally in the trough, and an outgoing end sliding laterally through the wire slot in the side wall. The wire harness protector according to the invention is especially useful for protecting and controlling wire harness slack found between hinged and sliding surfaces in a vehicle, for example doors, hoods and trunk lids.

Abstract: A wire harness protector having a hinged guide for controlling movement of the wire harness adjacent the protector. The protector is an open-ended trough with a hinged, latchable cover and fasteners for securing the trough to a moving surface, such as a vehicle trunk lid. The guide is hinged to an end of the trough, with a free end enabling it to swing relative to the trough. A central slot extends along a length of the guide, sized to receive a standard clip head strapped to the wire harness in a fixed position on the harness. When the surface to which the trough is secured moves, the wire harness slides relative to the trough. The clip head travels along the slot and the guide pivots relative to the end of the trough, controlling both sliding and bending movement of the wire harness.
