Abstract: Compounds which are substituted 1-hydroxyalkyl-azolyl derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## in which A represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group,B represents oxygen, sulphur or a CH.sub.2 group,R represents substituted alkyl, and, in the case in which B represents sulphur, also represents an unsubstituted alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl group,Z represents a halogen atom or an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylalkyl or optionally substituted phenylalkoxy group, andm is 0, 1, 2 or 3,and the acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof, are new, are prepared as described and find use as fungicides and plant growth regulators.

Abstract: Halogenated triazolylvinyl keto derivatives and carbinol derivatives of the general formula ##STR1## in which A represents a keto group or a CH(OH) grouping,X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom,Y represents a halogen atom,R represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkylthio, alkylamino, dialkylamino, nitro, cyano, hydroxyl or alkylcarbonyloxy radical, an optionally substituted phenyl radical, an optionally substituted phenoxy radical or an optionally substituted benzyloxy radical andn is 0, 1, 2 or 3,and physiologically acceptable acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof are outstandingly effective as plant growth regulators and as fungicides. The inventive compounds can be prepared by reacting a triazolylketone with an aldehyde.

Abstract: New 3-substituted 1-azolyl-3-methyl-1-phenoxy-butan-2-ones and -ols of the general formula ##STR1## in which Az represents 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl, 1,2,4-triazol-4-yl or imidazol-1-yl,B represents the keto group or the CH(OH) group,Y represents oxygen or sulphur,R represents halogenoalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted benzyl, or provided Y represents sulphur, may represent alkyl andX.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 are selected independently and each represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphonyl, nitro, cyano, alkoxycarbonyl or optionally substituted phenyl,are obtained if halogenoether ketones are reacted with 1,2,4-triazole or imidazole in the presence of a diluent and of an acid-binding agent, and, if appropriate, the keto derivatives thus obtained are reduced.

Abstract: According to the present invention 1-hydroxyethyl azole compounds are provided for in a process characterized by reacting an oxirane of the general formula ##STR1## in which R represents an alkyl radical, an optionally substituted cycloalkyl radical or an optionally substituted phenyl radical,Y represents a grouping --OCH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.dbd.CH--,Z represents a halogen atom, an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy or halogenoalkylthio radical, an optionally substituted phenyl radical, an optionally substituted phenoxy radical, an optionally substituted phenylalkyl radical or an optionally substituted phenylalkoxy radical andm is 0, 1, 2 or 3,with an azole of the general formula ##STR2## in which X represents a nitrogen atom or a CH group.

Abstract: Fungicidally active novel substituted azolylethyl oximinoalkyl ethers of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R.sup.1 is optionally substituted phenyl,R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, andR.sup.5 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted phenylalkyl,or addition products thereof with acids or metal salts.

Abstract: A benzyl-pyrimidinylalkyl-ether of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, andX.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, cyano, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylalkyl or optionally substituted phenylalkoxy,or an acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, which possesses fungicidal and plant growth-regulating properties. The corresponding pyrimidinyl-carbinols are also new.
