Abstract: Cycloalkyl (.alpha.-triazolyl-.beta.-hydroxy)-ketones of the general formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents an optionally substituted cycloalkyl group, andR.sup.2 represents a halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkenyl or alkoxycarbonyl group,and their physiologically acceptable acid addition salts and metal salt complexes are new, are prepared as described and find use as fungicides and plant growth regulators.

Abstract: 1-Phenoxy-2-pyridinyl(pyrimidinyl)-alkanols of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents alkyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aralkyl,X represents a nitrogen atom or the CH group,Y represents halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, halogenoalkyl, alkylthio, or an optionally substituted phenyl, phenoxy, phenylalkoxy or phenylalkyl radical, andn represents 0 or an integer from 1 to 5, the Y's being selected independently of one another when n is 2, 3, 4 or 5,in the form of the free base, a salt or a metal salt complex thereof, which possess fungicidal properties.

Abstract: A benzyl-pyrimidinylalkyl-ether of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, andX.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, cyano, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylalkyl or optionally substituted phenylalkoxy,or an acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, which possesses fungicidal and plant growth-regulating properties. The corresponding pyrimidinyl-carbinols are also new.

Abstract: N-Sulphenylated ureas of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 to R.sup.6 each independently is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylmercapto, trihalogenomethyl-, trihalogenomethoxy or trihalogenomethylmercapto,R.sup.7 is hydrogen or alkyl, andn is 0, 1, 2 or 3,which possess fungicidal properties.

Abstract: 5-Aryloxy-5-azolyl-3,3-dimethylpent-1-en-4-ones and -ols of the formula ##STR1## in which Ar is an optionally substituted aryl group,Az is a 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl, 1,2,4-triazol-4-yl or imidazol-1-yl group, andB is a keto group of a CH(OH) grouping,or addition products thereof with physiologically acceptable acids or metal salts are suitable for use as plant protection agents, and can be employed with particularly good success for combating those fungi which cause powdery mildew diseases, thus for combating Erysiphe species, Sphaerotheca species and Podosphaera species, and for combating diseases of rice.

Abstract: A fungicidal composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of an alkinyl-azole derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted aryloxy group,R.sup.2 is an alkyl group which is optionally substituted by halogen, or an optionally substituted aryl group,X is a hydrogen, bromine or iodine atom, andn is 0 or 1or an acid addition salt or metal salt complex thereof, in admixture with a diluent. Many of the compounds are new.

Abstract: 1-Vinyltriazole compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or substituted aryl;R.sup.2 is alkyl;R.sup.3 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, substituted cycloalkenyl, alkenyl, aryl or substituted aryl; orR.sup.2 and R.sup.3, together with the carbon to which they are bonded, represent cycloalkenyl, substituted cycloalkenyl, cycloalkyl or substituted cycloalkyl;X is the group ##STR2## or, alternatively, X may represent a keto group provided that when X is a keto group, R.sup.1 is alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, or substituted cycloalkyl;R.sup.4 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, substituted aralkyl, acyl, carbamoyl or substituted carbamoyl;R.sup.5 is hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl or substituted aralkyl;and acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof; are outstandingly effective plant growth regulants and as fungicides.

Abstract: A substituted azolyl-phenoxy derivative of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or a CH group,B is a keto group or a CH(OH) grouping,R.sup.1 is an alkyl or halogenoalkyl group of an optionally substituted aryl group,R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an optionally substituted phenyl group,R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl group,m is 1 or 2,X is a halogen atom, or an alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy or halogenoalkylthio group, andn is 0, 1 or 2,or an addition product thereof with an acid or metal salt, which possesses fungicidal activity particularly for combating cereal diseases as well as rust and scab diseases.

Abstract: Novel 1-iodoprop-1-yn-3-ols of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents optionally substituted aryl andR.sup.2 represents alkyl or cycloalkyl, which may be used as plant protection agents, especially as fungicides, are obtained when 1-iodoprop-1-yn-3-ols are reacted with iodine in the presence of a basic compound.

Abstract: New azolylvinyldithioacetals of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is an alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalky, optionally substituted phenyl or alkoxy group,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical and each is an alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, optionally substituted benzyl or trialkylsilyl group,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form an alkylene chain, a dialkylsilyl bridge or a --CH.dbd.CH-- group,X is a keto group or a CH--(OH) group, andY is a nitrogen atom or a CH group,and their acid addition salts and metal salt complexes are prepared as described and find use as fungicides.

Abstract: Aminopropiophenone derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which X is a keto group or an oxime radical of the formula>C.dbd.N--O--R.sup.4,Y each independently is an alkyl radical, a halogen atom, or a halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, alkythio, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, cycloalkyl or cyano radical,n is 0, 1, 2, or 3,R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is an alkyl radical, or,R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, complete an optionally substituted heterocyclic radical of the formula ##STR2## or in addition, if X is >C.dbd.N--O--R.sup.4, also may complete an optionally substituted heterocyclic radical of the formula ##STR3## R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical, and R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl or aralkyl radical,or physiologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, which possess fungicidal activity.

Abstract: A 1-phenyl-2-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-prop-2-en-1-one of the formula ##STR1## in which R is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, alkyl with more than 3 carbon atoms, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted phenoxyphenyl, or phenylalkyl which is optionally substituted in the alkyl part and/or in the phenyl part,X each independently is halogen, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted phenoxy, andn is 0, 1, 2 or 3,or an addition product thereof with a physiologically acceptable acid or a metal salt which possesses fungicidal activity.

Abstract: A 4-fluoro-1-azolyl-1-phenoxy-butan-2-one or -ol of the formula ##STR1## in which Az is an imidazol-1-yl, 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or 1,2,4-triazol-4-yl radical,B is a keto or CH(OH) group,X is a hydrogen or fluorine atom,Y is an alkoxy, alkylthio, halogenoalkyl, halogenoalkoxy or halogenoalkylthio radical,Z is a halogen atom or an alkyl radical,m is 1, 2 or 3 andn is 0, 1 or 2,or an addition product thereof with a physiologically acceptable acid or a metal salt, which possesses fungicidal activity.

Abstract: Synergistic fungicidal compositions comprising ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is optionally substituted phenyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl or phenyl,R.sup.3 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or chlorophenyl, andY is a keto group or a functional derivative thereof, and at least one member selected from the group consisting of(a) dithiocarbamates,(b) N-polyhaloalkyl-amines or -amides,(c) imidazole and benzimidazole derivatives,(d) optionally nitrated polyhalobenzenes,(e) N-sulphinyl-N'-aryl-hydrazines, and(f) sulphur or alkaline earth metal polysulphides.
