  • Publication number: 20150110268
Abstract: A method for coding and decoding information (10) associated with an item includes the steps of coding the information (10) associated with the item through an encryption key (20) and a first encryption algorithm, so as to generate a code (50) associated with the information (10), the code being realized through at least one material, typically an ink, having predefined electric properties (30) and being readable and decryptable by applying a variable electric field, and of applying the code (50) to the item, wherein the method generates encrypted information (95) which can be obtained by encrypting variable information (70) through a second encryption algorithm which uses, as an encryption key, the information (10) associated with the item, and applies the variable information (70) to the item or to a second item associated with the item.

  • Publication number: 20150052165
Abstract: The subject disclosure is directed towards a technology in which metadata such as time, location and/or people identity data, and/or tag or album data that is associated with a photograph or other content may be used to serendipitously discover related content, from among many possible sources. The related content may be from any local or remote source, such as uploaded by multiple contributors corresponding to content captured during a social event, and may be presented in an integrated view in conjunction with a local photograph or other content. Different views of content and related content are automatically constructed from the metadata, providing different user experiences/scenarios without manual collection of the photos. Also described are notifications of newly detected related content, and face detection and recognition to obtain additional metadata.

  • Publication number: 20140202979
Abstract: A container is provided for the storage and sampling of aqueous samples, such as deionized water samples. The container comprises an enclosure with an open mouth portion that is sealed via a needle penetratable septa. The septa overlies the mouth and seals the enclosure from the outside atmosphere. The septa comprises a foil layer adjacent the mouth that provides a border between the enclosure and the outside atmosphere and a Teflon layer adjacent the sample. A silicone containing layer of the septa is provided intermediate the foil layer and Teflon layer. A cap member may be provided that is detachably and sealingly engaged to the container covering the mouth. A CO2 adsorbent material may be provided in the space existing between the mouth of the enclosure and a cap member.

  • Publication number: 20130339947
Abstract: A system for migrating services including a primary virtual environment (VE) with a service manager and a VE manager, and a secondary VE, where both VEs execute a plurality of services, a set of physical hardware, and a hypervisor including a service module for storing extended service attributes for each service. The hypervisor manages migration one of the plurality of services executing on a source VE, obtain hardware requirements of the source VE, obtain extended service attributes associated with the one of the plurality of services to be migrated, and select a target VE for migration of the service. The target VE is selected based on the source VE data and the extended service attributes of the one service. The hypervisor migrates the one service by configuring the target VE and installing the service on the target VE using install scripts that execute on the target VE.

  • Publication number: 20130117365
Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed for capturing, organizing, sharing, and/or displaying media. For example, using embodiments of the disclosed technology, a unified playback and browsing experience for a collection of media can be created automatically. For instance, heuristics and metadata can be used to assemble and add narratives to the media data. Furthermore, this representation of media can recompose itself dynamically as more media is added to the collection. While a collection may use a single user's content, sometimes media that is desirable to include in the collection is captured by friends and/or others at the same event. In certain embodiments, media content related to the event can be automatically collected and shared among selected groups. Further, in some embodiments, new media can be automatically incorporated into a media collection associated with the event, and the playback experience dynamically updated.

  • Publication number: 20130007667
Abstract: A menu structure is provided which allows a user of a computing device to more easily consolidate and navigate images and/or albums regardless of their location. Moreover, the menu structure is dynamically tailored to individual users based on their previous interactions with the people appearing in the images/albums. The menu includes icons representing images (e.g., photos) or collections of images that have been categorized based in part on metadata respectively associated with the images. The metadata may have been provided by tagging the images or posting the images on one or more social networking sites. The order in which the icons are presented on the menu or interface may be based on their relative relevance or importance to the user.
