  • Patent number: 9170714
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for extracting and distributing text of mixed types from displayed graphical data from a display of an electronic device are disclosed. The text types can include rendered text and text represented in rendered images. Displayed graphical data can be captured from data being displayed by an application on a display device. Text data can be extracted from the captured graphical data as text data at the rendering tree level, or by an optical character recognition process. In response to the extracted text data, a text selection tool with visual representations of selectable text can be applied to the displayed text data. Using the text selection tool, a user can select a subset of the text. In response to the user selection, one or more other applications can be determined and the selected text can be passed to at least one of the other applications for execution.

  • Publication number: 20140188889
Abstract: User input is entered or selected, and in response, the user input can be analyzed to determine a characteristic of the user input. The characteristic can describe the format, type, or content of the user input. The user input can be further analyzed to determine a category with which the user input is related. In response to the determined category, a set of predetermined or dynamically determined relevant applications can be determined. The set of the relevant applications can be based on user preferences, crowd-sourcing, and advertisements. The set of applications can then be executed in parallel, using the user input as input, such that results from the application are obtained quickly without user additional user input. The relevance of the results of the applications can be determined, and versions of the results can be displayed to a user in a ranked order according to the relevance of the results.

  • Publication number: 20140189572
Abstract: In response to user input, a predictive application mode is initiated that includes providing a user interface to select or enter user input. Based on the user input, multiple potentially relevant applications can be selected. The multiple applications can be executed with the user input as input to generate multiple results. The results can be analyzed to determine the relevancy and a ranked order. The results can then be displayed in a user interface that lists the results according the ranked order. User input can then be monitored to determine if a result, and the associated application, displayed in the ranked list is selected, or if the user enters the user input into an application that did not appear in the list. The user input detected by the monitoring process can be used as feedback to improve the predictive application selection process or that ranking of the results.

  • Patent number: 8684277
Abstract: A multi-layer build-up system for floor coverings when using floor heating systems, particularly for laying ceramic floor coverings using the thin-bed method, has, on the underside, an essentially plate-shaped component for planar laying and for the accommodation of pipelines of a floor heating system. Component accommodation spaces for the pipelines are formed in the plate-shaped component and an uncoupling mat is disposed on the surface of the plate-shaped component. The uncoupling mat has an uncoupling layer on top of which an anchoring layer is disposed. The anchoring layer forms a structure element for a filler mass to be introduced in the top of the build-up system. The mass is plastic during processing and hardens afterwards. A reinforcement layer is disposed on top of and rigidly connected with the anchoring layer, at least in sections.

  • Publication number: 20130173490
Abstract: An apparatus for facilitating product exchanges includes a processor and memory storing executable computer code causing the apparatus to at least perform operations including triggering an exchange procedure to return a product(s) to an entity responsive to receipt of an indicated selection of a return service option. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to generate a return label(s) and identify a box(es) for inclusion of the product responsive to the receipt of the indicated selection and may generate a notification(s) notifying a user of a pickup time for the product and receive an indication that the product is packaged in the box(es), that information of the return label is captured and that the product is collected for delivery. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to receive an indication that the product is delivered to entity. Corresponding methods and computer program products are also provided.

  • Patent number: 8453083
Abstract: A memory is encoded with data that represents a reference IC design, a retimed IC design, and logical relationships, wherein at least one logical relationship describes combinational logic without reference to structural information, such as actual cells that have been instantiated in the IC designs. The logical relationships are used to instantiate logic described therein, and to define one or more black boxes as being functionally inverse of the logic. Each instantiated logic and its functionally inverse black box are thereafter added to the reference IC design to obtain a transformed reference IC design. A transformed retimed IC design is also obtained by addition of the instantiated logic(s) and functionally inverse black box(es) to the retimed IC design. These two transformed IC designs are then supplied to an equivalence checker, for formal verification.

  • Patent number: 8443317
Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage media, a computer-implemented method and apparatus for electronic design automation are disclosed. A reference integrated circuit (IC) design and a remitted IC design are received. Instances of cells of the reference IC design and the retimed IC designed are replaced with replacement circuits based on a description of moves of retiming associated with the reference IC design and the synthesized IC design. A comparison of the reference IC design and the retimed IC designed is performed to determine whether the retimed IC design is equivalent to the transformed IC design.

  • Patent number: 8375866
Abstract: A system for conveying persons has a track along which a plurality of vehicles may be moved by way of continuous conveying cables. The cables include at least two mutually successive conveying cables each having a drive for driving them independently of one another. The vehicles may be coupled to the cables by clamping devices and the cables overlap one another in mutually associated end regions. The coupling of the vehicles may be transferred from a first conveying cable to a successive conveying cable in the overlap region. In those regions in which a first conveying cable is adjoined by a further conveying cable, that is, in the overlap region, at least one servo device is provided which allows the cable run of the further conveying cable to which the vehicle is to be coupled to be moved into the clamping device of the vehicle, while the clamping device is in the open position.
