  • Publication number: 20080028347
Abstract: A memory is encoded with data that represents a reference IC design, a retimed IC design, and logical relationships, wherein at least one logical relationship describes combinational logic without reference to structural information, such as actual cells that have been instantiated in the IC designs. The logical relationships are used to instantiate logic described therein, and to define one or more black boxes as being functionally inverse of the logic. Each instantiated logic and its functionally inverse black box are thereafter added to the reference IC design to obtain a transformed reference IC design. A transformed retimed IC design is also obtained by addition of the instantiated logic(s) and functionally inverse black box(es) to the retimed IC design. These two transformed IC designs are then supplied to an equivalence checker, for formal verification.

  • Patent number: 6948298
Abstract: A strapping machine has a housing carrying a mount attachable to an overhead balancer line, tensioning and sealing devices in the housing, and an elongated pivotal handle. An inner handle end is formed with an annular inlet passage and a radially throughgoing inlet port opening into the inlet passage. The handle also is formed with axially extending passages extending from the inlet passage to an outer handle end. A pneumatic motor in the outer handle end drives a transmission in the inner end of the handle in turn drives the devices in the housing. An inlet fitting on the housing is connectable to a compressed-air supply line. A conduit has one end communicating with the inlet fitting and an opposite end opening radially inward into the inlet port of the handle. The outer handle end is formed with an outlet opening for venting air from the motor.

  • Publication number: 20050070246
Abstract: In a wireless communication system (400), a mobile station (404) or a base station (402), or both working together, determine (302) whether a planned interruption in communications is about to occur; and, in response to determining that the planned interruption is about to occur, progressively increase (306) the round-trip time for a plurality of successive data segments sent before the planned interruption occurs, such that a retransmission timeout value calculated by a sender becomes larger than a time required to complete the planned interruption, thereby preventing a spurious retransmission.

  • Patent number: 6659453
Abstract: A delivery for a machine processing flat printing materials includes a suction belt conveyer having conveying runs forming a support surface. To remove rejects or proof sheets as required, the delivery transports the materials along a transport path over a stack that is otherwise built up and transfers the sheets to the support surface. The physical position of the support surface can be varied while maintaining its generatrix. Therefore, the support surface can be adjusted in each print job to a working position in which secured transfer of removed printing materials to the suction belt conveyer is ensured. In a particular configuration, a latching device is provided that permits the conveying runs to escape from their working position in the event of a jam. Preferably, the latching device has a latching pin and a latching recess.

  • Patent number: 5823766
Abstract: A furnace installation as an intermediate storage between a mandrel-free coiling mechanism for strip-shaped cast billet, which is arranged downstream of a thin slab casting installation, and an uncoiling mechanism communicating with a downstream rolling mill, and a system for transporting the coiled bundles through the furnace installation. The furnace installation includes an integral coiling mechanism on the charging side. At least one transporting device for transporting the bundles is provided outside and below the furnace installation and is movable along the furnace installation. The transporting device penetrates into the furnace installation by lifting/lowering supports for the bundle to be transported. The uncoiling mechanism is likewise integrated in the furnace installation at a distance from the coiling mechanism which allows a plurality of bundles arranged adjacent to one another to be picked up. The uncoiling mechanism communicates with the coiling mechanism via the transporting device.

  • Patent number: 5693003
Abstract: A measuring method for determining the distance between the distal end of an endoscope and an object to be examined uses an optical radar and an endoscope, which comprises a distance measuring device. For carring out the measuring, a transmitting fiber optic and a receiving fiber optic in the endoscope are guided separately to respective separate optic modules at the front end of the endoscope. A semiconductor laser feeds a high frequency amplitude-modulated light in the transmitting fiber optic, which is projected by the transmitting optic module on the object in the form of a light spot. The light reflected from the object is received by the receiving optic module and guided through the receiving fiber optic in the endoscope to a light detector of a control unit. In the control unit a phase measurement is carried out and an evaluation device computes the distance information from the phase difference.

  • Patent number: 5332886
Abstract: An electronic regulator (12) for electric heating apparatuses, such as baking ovens (11), is equipped with a microcontroller (20), which contains in fixed programmed form the process data for the individual regulating functions. For adapting the real data of a temperature sensor (19) to the ideal conditions, e.g. in the center of a baking oven muffle (14) is provided a separate, non-volatile, but programmable memory (EEPROM) (26). It can be programmed from a personal computer (34) by means of a read-in connection (32), said computer determining the parameters by comparing the values of the standard temperature sensor (19) and separate temperature sensors (36) located at ideal points. The memory (26) can be differently programmed for individual operating modes.

  • Patent number: 4322620
Abstract: A camera tube for thermal imaging is disclosed comprising an entrance window of an electrically conductive material, a target for converting the thermal image, and an electron beam system for scanning the target. Incident thermal radiation is modulated by means of a mechanical chopper functioning as a modulator directly in front of the entrance window. The entrance window is electrically isolated from the target and is preferably grounded. By so doing, the target is shielded against electrical influences due to the modulator.

  • Patent number: 4319135
Abstract: A target plate for converting information-carrying thermal radiation to a storable or visual form is a carrier comprising the conversion layer having a grid thereon formed by adjoining regular polygons the borders of which are defined by an array of holes in the conversion layer. The holes may be aligned points or rectangular slots, and are arranged in the conversion layer to minimize lateral thermal transfer within the conversion layer, thereby separating the conversion processes within the conversion layer and resulting in improved resolution of the converted image. For use in a pyroelectric thermal vidicon an electrode layer is applied to one surface of the target plate.

  • Patent number: 4310781
Abstract: A Zr-C sintered body is charged with H.sub.2 to form zirconium hydride within the body and such body is positioned in working association with a heating means within an electronic tube, such as a vidicon tube, which utilizes hydrogen as a supporting gas. During an operation of such tube, the sintered body is heated and releases an amount of H.sub.2 therefrom as a function of the temperature while the sintered body acts as a getter for any residual gases within the tube, other than H.sub.2, at elevated operating temperatures.

  • Patent number: 4245217
Abstract: A passive infrared alarm device evaluates the changes in infrared radiation level of a monitored room or a monitored portion of a room for alarm purposes. In accordance with the invention, an infrared sensing element is employed toward which an optical reflector directs infrared radiation emanating from one or more angles in a room to be monitored. An infrared filter is mounted in the path of the reflected infrared radiation before such radiation reaches the sensing element. The infrared filter is designed to absorb infrared radiation below a predetermined minimum wavelength, and additional means is provided for partially absorbing infrared radiation below the predetermined minimum at the reflector.
