  • Publication number: 20210109094
Abstract: Disease components can be detected in a fluid using magnetic particles and microfluidics. Magnetic particles are combined with a sample in a fluid. The sample may include disease components. The magnetic particles can be configured to tag any disease components within the sample. The fluid can be forced into a microchamber with two microcompartments. In the first microcompartment, the fluid can be exposed to a magnetic field and/or magnetic field gradient. The tagged disease component can be trapped by the magnetic field and/or magnetic field gradient due to the magnetic particles, allowing nonmagnetic components of the fluid to be washed away while the tagged disease components remain trapped by the magnetic field and/or magnetic field gradient. Then, the disease components can be forced into a more narrow second microcompartment and detected using optical instruments.

  • Publication number: 20210068697
Abstract: A system is described herein that can be used to perform magneto-optical detection of a disease component in a test sample using magnetic nanoparticles. A concentration of magnetic nanoparticles and a concentration of bindable agents can be administered to the test sample. The magnetic nanoparticles can be configured to attach to the bindable agents. A light beam can be transmitted through the test sample to a light detector. A magnetic field gradient can be established through the test sample. If the transmitted light beam under the magnetic field gradient exhibits a variable intensity change during a time period, the disease component can be determined to exist in the test sample.

  • Publication number: 20210025611
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a thermal model based on an adaptive filter bank for characterizing heat transfer of a volume of a thermal system. In one embodiment, the adaptive filter bank is used for diagnostics that provides information related to the condition of a thermal system. The diagnostics are based on an analysis of heat transfer characteristics of a dynamic representation of the thermal system. In accordance with the embodiments, thermal coefficients are generated based on an adaptive filter bank. One or more filters are applied to the thermal coefficients based on a sampling rate and one or more estimate thermal coefficient thresholds are generated based on the sampling rate. It is determined whether at least one of the thermal coefficients that is filtered satisfies at least one of the estimated thermal coefficient thresholds. Thereupon, alert information indicative of a diagnostic event is provided based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 10880039
Abstract: A frame error correction circuit may identify and correct errors in data frames provided to a receiver as part of a diversity communications scheme. The frame error correction circuit may further align the data frames so that the data frames can be compared. The frame error correction circuit may perform a bit-wise comparison of the data frames and identify inconsistent bit positions where bits in the data frames differ from one another. Once inconsistent bit positions have been identified, the frame error correction circuit may access a permutation table of permutations of bits at the inconsistent bit positions. In some implementations, the frame error correction circuit uses the permutation table to reassemble permutations of the data frames. In various implementations, the frame error correction circuit performs a CRC of each permutation of the data frames, and provides a valid permutation to a network.
