  • Patent number: 4660503
Abstract: An improvement in the method and apparatus for producing a multi-color electrophotographic image wherein an electrophotographic medium is mounted on a carrier therefor and is translated over a predetermined path so that the medium is first charged, then exposed to a first light-borne image and then toned. Thus, the unexposed portions of the image bearing charged region of the medium are toned, preferably by a liquid toner, to produce a first color visible image. The carrier is then returned to the first position to repeat the foregoing steps to charge the medium and to expose it to a second light-borne image and to tone the second image with a second toning element to produce a second color visible image. The improvement comprises the step of brushing the surface of the first toned image with a soft fibrous brush member after the first toning step and prior to the second charging step to remove material from the untoned portion of the medium without significantly altering the toned image.

  • Patent number: 4620255
Abstract: Static electric charge build-up is eliminated in tape cassettes having a housing with a take-off spool and a take-up spool for magnetic tape mounted in the housing. First and second tape guide support pins are mounted in the housing on the take-off spool side. A stationary metal guide sleeve is disposed on the first pin and an electrically conductive plastic guide roller is rotatably mounted on the second pin. The magnetic tape path through the cassette housing is such that the back side of the tape engages the metal guide sleeve and the magnetic coating side of the tape is against the plastic guide roller. A smooth flat metal member is mounted for electrical contact against adjacent ends of the metal sleeve and the plastic roller to complete an electric path therebetween. This cancels the electrostatic charges on the plastic roller and the magnetic coating of the tape.

  • Patent number: 4233773
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a positive removable mounting of a wing and, if desired, the tail assemblage. This attachment provides a spring biased mounting means at one side of the mounted member and one or two pins or dowels are inserted into receiving holes provided. The opposite side is brought to fixed hole portions and one or more fixed pins or dowels are placed in these holes. The wing or tail assembly is rearwardly moved with and by bias to retain the wing or tail in position until moved forwardly. This forward movement is produced by a crash or sudden stop or by the operator when he wishes to disassemble the craft.
