  • Patent number: 9355522
Abstract: A gaming system and method includes a primary wagering game displayed in a display area that is subdivided into display regions. The primary game includes a plurality of base games. The base games are displayed in a respective one of the display regions and each has a virtual character associated therewith. A simulated top box is displayed in one of the display regions. The simulated top box includes a secondary game common to the plurality of base games. In response to play of the primary wagering game being initiated, an outcome is determined for each of the plurality of base games and the outcomes are concurrently displayed. In response to a bonus trigger, at least two of the plurality of base games combine into a single bonus array of symbols for a bonus game. The single bonus array of symbols is displayed in one or more of the display regions.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for recording and transmitting data are provided. The systems, devices, and methods can be used in a variety of contexts, including in conjunction with swinging devices and prosthetics. In one exemplary embodiment, the sensor is configured in a manner that allows it be omni-directional such that its orientation with respect to the object for which it is detecting data is irrelevant to the ability to accurately record and transmit data. In another exemplary embodiment, the system allows a user to use the same sensor across multiple platforms, such as using it for golf and prosthetics, for golf and tennis, or for a regular golf swing and a putting stroke. Other devices, systems, methods, and uses of the same are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9063874
Abstract: A storage module is configured to determine a health metric of a storage division of a solid-state storage medium. The health metric may comprise a combination of factors, including, but not limited to: wear level, performance (e.g., program time, erase time, and the like), error rate, and the like. A wear level module may configure storage operations to reduce the wear rate of storage divisions having poor health metrics and/or heath metrics that are degrading more quickly than other storage divisions. Reducing wear rate may include deferring grooming operations, delaying use for storage operations, temporarily retiring the storage division, or the like. Storage divisions may be brought back into service at normal use rates in response determining that other portions of the storage media have been worn to the point that they exhibit similar health and/or reliability characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20150125495
Abstract: The present invention provides a thin mucoadhesive sublingual film composition which provides improved allergen delivery and efficacy at a smaller dose while prolonging the contact time between the allergen and oral antigen presenting cells (APCs), and therefore minimizing the risk of systemic side effects. The thin film compositions of the present invention are also easier to standardize, and removes any need for measuring allergen doses at the physician's office, and which allows for a simplified dosing schedule. Methods of making the thin film compositions and methods for their use are also disclosed.
