  • Publication number: 20070065056
Abstract: With a guide rail system composed of a guide rail with undercuts and a clamp bar, the ratio kh=h1.5/b is between 0.2 and 0.5, where b is the width of the base surface, and h is the minimum distance between the holding surface and the base surface of the guide rail, and when the ratio is in this range, guidance inaccuracies are reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070029709
Abstract: The invention relates to a sliding closing element, especially for an intermediate distributor or similar metallurgical containers. According to the invention, the mobile sliding plate of said closing element can be driven by means of a drive comprising a driving road and a push rod connected thereto. In order to ensure that the oscillatory movement of the sliding plate does not impair the connection during operation, a coupling arranged as a connecting body between the opposite ends of the push rod and the driving rod is provided with two coupling parts that engage in each other without play.

  • Patent number: 7023183
Abstract: A power supply with capacitive mains isolation, comprises a source of an input supply voltage developed between a first terminal and a second terminal. A first supply inductance is coupled to the first terminal, and a second supply inductance is coupled to a load circuit. A switch responsive to a periodic control signal applies the input supply voltage to the first supply inductance to generate a current in the first supply inductance at a first polarity, during a first portion of a period of the control signal when the switch is at a first switch state. A pair of capacitors operate to couple the first supply inductance to the second supply inductance during a second portion of the period of the control signal when the switch is at a second switch state. The pair of capacitors isolate the first and second terminals, respectively, from the second supply inductance at a range of frequencies that is lower than a frequency of the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20050040572
Abstract: A clamping device (2?) is provided for a refractory plate (3) of a slide closure at the outlet of a container for metal melt. The plate (3) has two pairs of side faces (10, 11), disposed mirror-symmetrically with respect to its longitudinal center plane (L), at which a clamping element (22?, 23?, 43) disposed in a slider housing (1) engages with its clamping faces. The side faces (10, 11) disposed at one side of the longitudinal center plane (L) form an obtuse angle (?). Three of the clamping elements are developed as binding fittings (22?, 23?) pivotably supported in the slider housing (1) and the fourth clamping element has a binding jaw (43, 30) displaceable in the direction toward the corresponding side face (10 or 11). Therewith results a simple and optimal bracing of this plate (3) stress-loaded by the high-level heating generated during operation.

  • Patent number: 6092701
Abstract: A refractory plate for a sliding gate valve at the outlet of a vessel containing molten metal has a polygonal external shape and has a longitudinal axis, on both sides of which at least two side surfaces, disposed at an obtuse angel (.gamma.) to one another, extend and serve as clamping surfaces of the plate in a metallic frame (11) or the like. The shorter side surfaces are arranged to extend at an angle (.alpha.) of between 20.degree. and 50.degree. to the longitudinal axis while the longer side surfaces are arranged to extend at an angle (.beta.) of between 10.degree. and 30.degree. to the longitudinal axis. The refractory plate can thus be optimally clamped and an increased service life is thus consequently achieved.

  • Patent number: 6043994
Abstract: A power supply circuit for a video display apparatus having run and standby modes of operation. A resistor has a first terminal coupled to a power supply controller circuit for enabling operation of the power supply controller circuit. A standby mode power supply provides an output voltage for the video display apparatus during a standby mode of operation. The standby mode power supply utilizes a standby transformer having a secondary winding coupled to a second terminal of the resistor. The secondary winding provides a low voltage to the resistor to minimize the power dissipated by the resistor.
