Abstract: The present invention provides a vehicle travelling control apparatus for a vehicle with an HST and a mechanical transmission, which are connected in tandem to each other and interposed in a travelling power transmission path between a driving power source and driving wheels. The vehicle travelling control apparatus includes a speed-change control mechanism which in turn includes a signal detection part and a control part for controlling the changing of the output speed of the HST and the shifting operation of the mechanical transmission. The signal detection part includes a load-torque detection means for detecting the load torque with respect to the vehicle. The control part is designed to control the mechanical transmission and the HST based upon the detected results by the load-torque detection means so that where the vehicle lies in a high load torque state, the control part downshifts the mechanical transmission to a lower speed stage, while increasing the output speed of the HST.

Abstract: To shorten the processing time in modern plants for cutting away pieces or sections from a continously moving endless material, e.g. a glass strip, one after the other by flying cutting the cutting bridge carrying the cutting device (6) is accelerated until at a speed within a predetermined tolerance range of the feed speed of the continuously running endless material. Then the cutting bridge speed is synchronized for each piece or section to be cutaway and the cutting away of each piece or section takes place after the synchronization. To attain a very high precision cutting the spacing of the front cut edge formed when the previous piece or section is cut away from the cutting device is measured by means of an image-taking device (7) prior to cutting away of the next piece or section. Then the measured spacing is compared with a set value for the spacing and the speed of the cutting bridge is synchronized or fine tuned according to the comparison prior to cutting away the next piece or section.

An advantage of the projectile disclosed, as compared to conventional shotgun projectiles, is that whilst the projectile will retain its integrity until it strikes the target and thus will effectively blast a hole through a lock or bolt or through the portion of the door carrying such, the impact of the projectile with the target will fragment the paper casing allowing the tungsten powder to disperse rapidly so that after the powder has passed through the door against which the projectile is fired the powder will lose momentum within a very short distance due to atmospheric drag on the fine tungsten particles.

Abstract: A film forming apparatus and method of the present invention include a substrate holding section for holding a plurality of substrates in a plane within a chamber, first and second process gas discharge sections provided opposite to the substrate holding section to discharge first and second process gases, a rotation mechanism for rotating the substrate holder, and a heater for heating the substrates. While the substrates are rotating as the substrate holding section rotates, the substrate holding section, first and second mono atomic layers are alternately stacked on the corresponding substrates. A compound film is therefore formed through a reaction involved under heating.

Abstract: Object of the invention is to present a thin-film deposition apparatus comprising a practical means of heating not by the radiation heating, which is suitable for manufacture of solar cells. To accomplish this object, a thin-film deposition apparatus of the invention comprises a deposition chamber which is a vacuum chamber where thin-film deposition is carried out on a substrate at a deposition temperature higher than room temperature, a load lock chamber which is a vacuum chamber where the substrate stays temporarily while it is transferred from an atmosphere to the deposition chamber, and a heat chamber which heats the substrate under atmospheric pressure or a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure. The heat chamber, the load lock chamber and the deposition chamber are connected directly or indirectly in this order interposing a valve. The heat chamber has a mechanism to heat the substrate supplying gas of a temperature higher than the room temperature by forced convection.

A coolant, such as ordinary water, is delivered to the explosives to prevent them from detonating due to the heat of the on-line facility. Thus, controlled, appropriately-timed detonation can be initiated as desired, and boiler scale and slag is removed without the need to shut down or cool down the facility.

Abstract: A number of embodiments of direct injected V-type outboard motors provided with a very effective fuel supply system wherein the number of components can be significantly reduced as well as the elimination of many of the flexible conduits normally employed. This also permits the fuel system to be assembled as a relatively unitary assembly that can be then affixed to the engine. The arrangement is such that purging of the system from vapors during shutdowns is easily accomplished and the system can be purged without complicated construction. Furthermore, the system can be pressure tested by an arrangement where the low pressure system can bypass the high pressure system when the engine is not operating so as to be pressurized for testing purposes. However, when the high pressure system operates, then the bypass line will be closed by the shunting valve arrangement.
