Abstract: A ratchet wrench having two in-line torque bars 23 and 24 which also serve as the lever bars for an integral T-bar wrench; whereas, the torque bar 21 of the T-bar wrench also serves as the lever bar of the ratchet wrench. One or more of the bars can be extended to provide increased leverage and the outer tubes 28 or 36 may be tightly gripped to steady the tool whilst allowing the torque bars to freely rotate. The ratchet wrench and T-bar combination provides the user with a single versatile hand tool having variable reach, given that bar 21 is significantly longer than bar 23 or 24, without the need to add an extension torque bar. The ratchet mechanism is located in the housing 22 and may comprise a non-adjustable one-way drive, incorporating deeply cut ratchet teeth to provide a high strength tool.

Abstract: A crystal substrate and a crystal film of a III-V compound of the nitride system which have no defects in the surfaces. A method of manufacturing a crystal of a III-V compound of the nitride system, and a method of manufacturing a device. A base crystal layer is formed over a basal body. After etching the base crystal layer using a first mask pattern, an intermediate crystal layer is formed. After etching the intermediate crystal layer using a second mask pattern, a top crystal layer is formed. The crystal growth of the intermediate crystal layer starts at the walls of grooves formed by etching in the base crystal layer. This reduces the possibility that dislocations develop into the intermediate crystal layer. No dislocations occurring above the first mask pattern propagate through the top crystal layer since the dislocations are removed by etching using the second mask pattern.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a generally uniform liquid layer on a surface of an upper surface microelectronic substrate. The apparatus can include a support that engages less than the entire lower surface of the microelectronic substrate and rotates the microelectronic substrate at a selected rate. A barrier can extend over the upper surface of the microelectronic substrate and can rotate at about the same rate as the substrate to separate a rotating air mass adjacent to the upper surface and within the barrier from a stationary air mass external to the barrier. The rotating air mass can reduce the likelihood for liquid/air interface disturbances that create non-uniformities in the liquid layer. Accordingly, the method and apparatus can increase the range of thicknesses to which the liquid layer can be formed and can reduce the topographical non-uniformities of the liquid layer.

Abstract: There is claimed a method for depositing fluid material from a linear nozzle in a substantially uniform manner across and along a surface. The method includes directing gaseous medium through said nozzle to provide a gaseous stream at the nozzle exit that entrains fluid material supplied to the nozzle, said gaseous stream being provided with a velocity profile across the nozzle width that compensates for the gaseous medium's tendency to assume an axisymmetric configuration after leaving the nozzle and before reaching the surface. There is also claimed a nozzle divided into respective side-by-side zones, or preferably chambers, through which a gaseous stream can be delivered in various velocity profiles across the width of said nozzle to compensate for the tendency of this gaseous medium to assume an axisymmetric configuration.

Abstract: A low dielectric constant insulating film on a substrate is formed by introducing a process gas comprising a silicon source, a fluorine source, and oxygen into a chamber. The process gas is formed into a plasma to deposit at least a first portion of the insulating film over the substrate. The wafer and the first portion of the insulating film are then heated to a temperature of about 100-500° C. for a period of time. The film may include several separate portions, the deposition of each of which is followed by a heating step. The film has a low dielectric constant and good gap-fill and stability due to the lack of free fluorine in the film.
