Abstract: The antipest mat protects vehicles against entry by small animals by giving the animals a deterrent electrical shock. The mat is made up of two sections joined together to form a closed shape with an open area in the middle. The sections are connected together at a pivot point that allows the mat to be opened so that it can be placed around a vehicle support point, such as a tire, and then closed to completely surround the vehicle support point. The upper insulative surface of the mat sections holds a pattern of closely spaced conductors. The conductors are arranged so that adjacent conductors are of opposite or differing polarities. The conductors are connected to one or more connectors. A source of electric power is provided to energize the conductors so that an animal contacting two or more adjacent conductors receives an electric shock.

Abstract: A device for capturing insects comprises a housing (10) with a capturing opening (11) and comprises an immobilizing device for at least temporarily immobilizing the insects. Captured insects are kept in a collecting device (13) for collecting and retaining after they have passed through the capturing opening (11). Insects can be captured in a simple and convenient manner by virtue of the fact that a capturing area, which can be influenced at least temporarily by the immobilizing device, is provided outside of the device having the associated capturing space (14) in order to bring the insects from this capturing space to the collecting device (13) via the capturing opening, and that the immobilizing device is formed by at least one light source (12) for blinding the insects. After switching on the immobilizing device, the capturing space must be merely placed over the insect so that the insect then enters the collecting device (13).

The thermal cracking process uses low cracking temperatures from 625 to 725° F. with ambient pressure and no catalyst to generate a column distilled fraction of diesel fuel mixed with light ends, the light ends being flashed off to produce a high quality #2 diesel fuel suitable for road use. The oils to be distilled are exposed to a heat exchanger with a skin temperature of 1750° F. generated by hot air produced by a thermal oxidizer. This results in the processed product going from a liquid to a liguid/gas during the pump around residence time of 3 to 5 seconds before moving up a distillation column as a gas to the desired finished product.

Abstract: An athletic floor uses a panel-type subfloor to secure directly to a concrete base. The panel-type sections include upper and lower rigid layers which sandwich a resilient layer. The rigidity of the lower layer spans most uneven spots in the floor, while the resilient layer provides some degree of a compressibility and/or conformability, as needed, to provide a flat horizontal surface for supporting a layer of floorboards thereabove. The panel sections can be secured directly to the base, via anchors which secure the lower rigid layers to the base, the anchors residing in access openings formed along the perimeter of the upper rigid layer and in the resilient layer. This anchoring arrangement enables each anchor to hold at least two adjacently located panel sections, and it also eliminates precompression of the resilient layer. Abstract: A detachable fastening element to fasten a panel on a front side of a display panel includes a pressing portion, a locating plate, two elastic pressing members, and two hooks. The pressing portion presses the panel on the front side of the display panel. The display panel is mounted onto a bracing seat. The locating plate is coupled with the pressing portion. The elastic pressing members and the hooks are located on the locating plate. Through the elastic pressing members, hooks and locating plate, the fastening element is clipped the bracing seat. Thereby the panel is fastened on the front side of the display panel. The elasticity provided from the elastic pressing members and hooks make installation and removing of the fastening element easier.
