Abstract: Apparatus for testing hearing is arranged to deliver audio tones over the Internet to be output at a receiving station such as a user's computer. The apparatus firstly constructs audio tones for transmission out of sets of components recorded at different modulation levels for each frequency. This allows significantly finer control over the sound level of the audio tones at the receiving station than would normally be available at the receiving end. Secondly, the apparatus supports a feedback loop, based on a calibrated audio tone delivered for output at the receiving station and transmitted as audible sound back to the hearing test apparatus via a voice activated modem, the apparatus sending display data to the receiving station representing the sound level of that audible sound such that a user can adjust one or more parameters of the receiving station so as to bring the sound level of the audible sound, indicated by the display data, to a calibrated level.

Abstract: A patient's vital sign measurements are displayed in a fishbone diagram defined by a horizontal line with a vertical line crossing it to form four compartments. The patient's respiratory rate and heart rate are displayed in assigned compartments above the horizontal line separated by the vertical line and the patient's oxygen saturation (SpO2) and temperature are displayed in assigned compartments below the horizontal line separated by vertical lines. Two diverging horizontal lines form a sideways “V” are connected with the right hand side of the horizontal line to define a fifth compartment in which the patient's blood pressure is displayed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a sheath for a disposable dental direct imaging digital device. The sheath for a disposable dental direct imaging digital device includes a bag structure that is made up of an elastic material, and is also made up of a positioning device that is placed in an opening of the bag structure. A direct imaging digital device may be inserted into the sheath. A first housing segment that is in connection with the opening exists on one end of the bag structure. The other end of the first housing segment is in connection with a second housing segment. A tapered channel is formed from the opening of the first housing segment towards the second housing segment. A positioning device may close or shrink the opening, so as to prevent the direct imaging digital device from sliding out of the sheath. The direct imaging digital device may be inserted into the first housing segment, and then may be inserted into the second housing segment.
