This new and novel product or system for the storage and retrieval of food preparation appliances, allows the workplace to remain uncluttered, and at the same time allows the user ready access to the appliances, devices or utensils when desired. Additionally, the appliances are stored in a more efficient manner than is currently available.

    Abstract: A safety cover for burner dials of a stove is an apparatus that covers front-mounted control knobs or dials on stoves. The safety cover takes the shape of an elongated compartment that spans the width of the stove. The compartment is hinged along the bottom and connects to a square frame that is attached to the stove face via double sided foam adhesive tape or other appropriate adhesive means. When the safety cover is closed, it covers all front-mounted control knobs at once and is secured in the closed position at its top by one or two friction fit snap mounts. An adult user can simply release the snaps and open it in a downward manner to allow for easy and complete access to all knobs.

    Abstract: A method for removing silicone sealant from glass-ceramic surfaces is provided. The method includes heating the sealant to a temperature greater than 325 degrees Celsius so that it thermally degrades and then, mechanically removing the sealant from the glass-ceramic surface. A method of salvaging a glass-ceramic cooking surface from a cooktop including silicone sealant between a cooktop frame and the glass-ceramic cooking surface is also provided. If a defect is detected in the cooktop during manufacturing or distribution, the entire cooktop is heated to a predetermined temperature to allow the silicone sealant to be easily removed without using a knife or other potentially damaging devices. Once the silicone sealant is removed, the glass-ceramic cooking surface may be reused to produce another cooktop assembly.

The sealing frame is connected non-positively, securely, and durably to the front surfaces or edge of the plate, and the sealing strip permanently prevents adhesive from leaking between the holding frame and the plate.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of eliminating and a laminate which eliminates an aesthetically unacceptable hue normally visible at an area of overlap between a light-colored substrate that reflects a certain wavelength of light back to and through a light-colored translucent overlay. Specifically, the method includes applying a dark material to at least one of the light-colored substrate and the light-colored translucent overlay upon an area of overlap of the substrate and overlay, and sandwiching the dark material between the overlay and the substrate at the area of overlap so that certain wavelengths of light normally passing through the overlay into the substrate and reflected by the substrate back to and through the overlay are blocked by the dark material. The light-colored overlay in the area of overlap appears in its true light color to the “naked” eye absent the aesthetically unacceptable hue.
