  • Patent number: 9012791
Abstract: A split, non-metallic electrical insulating bushing for placement on a terminating end of an electrical conduit, the bushing rotatable between a first open configuration and a second closed configuration and having first and second hemispherically shaped bushing portions. Both bushing portions have a first end and a second end. The first ends are dimensioned to rotate with respect to each other. The second end of the first bushing portion has a projecting clasp member with a hook portion, while the second end of the second bushing portion has a recess dimensioned for receipt of the projecting clasp member. The clasp member is angled relative to the recess so that the hook portion contacts the second bushing portion so as to align the first and second bushing portions as the clasp member enters the recess. The hook portion then extends through the recess to secure the bushing in its closed configuration.

  • Patent number: 9006589
Abstract: A cable bushing, in particular for a motor vehicle, for routing a cable harness having a plurality of electrical lines through a wall opening in a sealed manner. The cable bushing includes a dimensionally stable housing for insertion into the wall opening. The housing encloses a sealing member that is made of an elastic sealing material. The sealing member includes receiving devices or channels for individually routing the electrical lines in an axial direction. The cable bushing further has a pressure-providing element that exerts a compressive force on the sealing member, such that the sealing member encloses the electrical lines individually in a sealed manner and the sealing member is pressed radially against the housing to achieve a high level of impermeability to longitudinal water penetration. Additionally, pins may be provided to produce additional radial compressive forces.

Abstract: A high-voltage bushing with conductive inserts for a DC voltage has a bushing body surrounding a high-voltage conductor and containing a paper insulation. The bushing body tapers conically, at least at one end region thereof, from a ground-potential-side location to a high-voltage-side end and is surrounded by an insulating barrier. In order to provide a high-voltage bushing of this type with a particularly good potential distribution, the outside of the bushing body is coated at least in the region of the at least one end region with a coating to form a coating layer, which has a greater electrical conductivity than the bushing body.
