Abstract: A fuel container operating under overpressure and consisting of two shells is to be reinforced by means of an inner column so that, when the two shells are conjoined, a tension resistant connection is created. For this purpose, the column consists of a first and a second part connected to the respective shell, one part having catches, the other part having latching hooks, which catches and latching hooks for a tension resistant snap-in connection when joined together. For this purpose, both parts have latching surfaces and deflecting surfaces and the latching hook is resiliently displaceable.

Abstract: An artificial shell for cooking includes, a top portion, having a fill opening therethrough, a bottom portion, and a fill opening cover. The top portion is removably attachable to the bottom portion and the top portion and bottom portion together define an inner storage chamber. Furthermore, the fill opening cover completely covers the fill opening.

Abstract: In order to seal an internal space of a casing having an upper and lower casing members, a continuous groove with a semicircular cross-section is formed around a dust-and-water proof area of the lower casing member, and a continuous elongated protrusion is formed on the portion of the upper casing member corresponding to the groove, so that the protrusion is inserted in the groove when two casing members are engaged. Spherical sealing members each having the same diameter as the groove width are arrayed continuously in the groove without gaps therebetween. The width of the elongated protrusion is configured to be smaller than the groove width, so that the spherical sealing members compressed when the casing members are fitted are deformed to enter a space defined between the elongated protrusion and the groove, to thereby form a dust-and-water proof structure. Inserting the spherical sealing members in the groove is easy.

Abstract: The container includes a base and a detachable cover. To releasably attach the base and cover, the base includes a first closure portion and the cover includes an engagable second closure portion. In one aspect, the first and second closure portions are configured for engagement in both a fully engaged position and an intermediately engaged position. In the intermediately engaged position, the container can be further configured to vent steam during, for example, microwaving. In another aspect, the container including the first and second closure portions can be configured for simplified engagement of the base and cover, preferably by enabling engagement via a downward push applied to the center of the cover. In yet another aspect, the first and second closure portions can be configured with diverging flanges that simplify detachment of the base and cover.

Abstract: A barrel type cooler having an open top cylindrical icing chamber an open bottom cylindrical lid slidably that fits over the icing chamber. The icing chamber includes hooks and the lid includes slots, each slot configured to receive a hook and having an open bottom allowing the lid to be removed from engagement with the icing chamber. Each slot has a length sufficient to allow the lid to slide over the icing chamber to a closed position. In addition, each slot includes a side channel configured to engage a corresponding hook to support the lid in a raised position. The side of the top has ingress openings allowing a user to reach through the side of the lid and into the icing chamber when the lid is supported by the icing chamber in the raised position.

Abstract: A packaging container for displaying and/or housing products that includes a first tray that includes a chamber defined by one or more walls and at least one raised area extending around and separate from the walls of the chamber. The tray may be substantially opaque to display graphics and/or to prevent viewing of the contents and may be seamless. A cover member is attachable to the bottom of the first tray to cover the chamber and its contents. The cover member may comprise, among other things, a second tray or a blank or sheet of material.

Abstract: A package for packaging food and non-food products. The package may include a tray with a cavity to receive the product, and a reclosable lid to help protect the product within the tray. The lid may lock into an interior portion of the tray below its upper surface. The cavity may be sealed with a primary seal that helps to maintain the integrity of the product and/or to help preserve a food product within the cavity. A sealing flange used to form the primary seal is located below the upper surface of the tray and within the interior region of the tray. A removable sealing layer may be sealed to the sealing flange to form a hermetically sealed cavity. A secondary seal may be provided to help maintain freshness of a food product after the primary seal has been broken, and/or to stabilize or maintain the integrity of the package. One or more interlock features may be provided for releasably securing the lid to the tray.

The rib structure stiffens the base, and also can elevate the food product from liquid within the container. The bottom wall has a central platform which extends upwardly from a lower encircling segment. The lower encircling segment marks the lowermost portion of the base as molded, and extends inwardly from the lower margin of the sidewall. Two generally parallel longitudinal ribs extend across the platform and project upwardly from the platform. The longitudinal ribs extend from the lower encircling segment at the front of the base to the rear of the base. Short bridging ribs are evenly spaced parallel to one another and extend laterally between and connect the two longitudinal ribs. A plurality of cross ribs extend outwardly from each longitudinal rib to the encircling segment.

The securing portion associated with the base can be substantially J-shaped in cross section, while the securing portion of the lid can be substantially u-shaped in cross section. A first ridge on the J-shaped section abuts with a second ridge on the u-shaped section when the lid is attached to the base with the second ridge disposed above the first ridge. The lower outer end of the u-shaped section can be rounded and a lip can extend outward for easier gripping when removing the lid from the base.

Abstract: A latching system including both apparatus and methods addresses the need for a reusable latch that is identical on either side of a container opening, thereby facilitating container manufacture. Also disclosed are apparatus and methods for assuring the quality of latch able container enclosed contents and enhancing the safety of container users by providing an unopened condition assurance element such as a tab that is removable from a reusable container latch. A novel latching system with a split insertion clement on a first latch side and unitary receptor element on a second latch side is also disclosed. Abstract: The invention relates to a package suitable for containing a perishable product, comprising a first shell element provided with an upright circumferential edge and a central portion for accommodating said perishable product, as well as a closure element provided with a circumferential edge which closure element is placed with its circumferential edge on the upright circumferential edge of said first shell element in an adhering and closing manner and wherein said closure element is provided at its circumferential edge with a protruding lip, which lip does not adhere to the circumferential edge of said first shell element, for the purpose of peeling off said closure element from said first element. Near said lip the two circumferential edges are provided with a closed channel being in communication with said central portion, and wherein at least one of said circumferential edges is provided with a fracture line extending substantially perpendicularly to said channel.
