Abstract: A fluid dispenser having a liquid release bottle with suction bellows which is incorporated into a flat mop. This embodiment includes an exterior wall, an interior chamber surrounded by an exterior wall and a cap on the liquid intake member. The exterior wall includes a suction bellows to create a suction within the interior chamber of the liquid release bottle. A downward force on the handle activates a suction bellows to create a suction on the interior chamber of the liquid release bottle enabling fluid retained in the interior chamber to flow out of a duck-bill valve and into flexible tubing which will then flow through the tubing and out an opening of a yoke so that the fluid can flow onto a front of a scrubbing portion of the mop to facilitate cleaning. • Patent number: 8181802
Abstract: A closure device includes a base (1) and a top (23). The base (1) has an aperture (13) and the top (23) has an aperture (27). The top (23) is movable laterally relative to the base (1) between a first position in which the aperture (13) of the base and the aperture (27) of the top are not in alignment and a second position in which the apertures are in alignment. Biasing spring (22, 43) is provided with in the top so as to extend laterally between the base and the top with a free end of the biasing spring urging the top towards the first position in which the apertures (13, 27) are not in alignment.

  • Patent number: 8091745
Abstract: The invention relates to a disposable tap (1) for tapping liquid from a pressurized liquid container. Compared to prior art taps, the inventive disposable tap is modified so that it can be preferably placed in the upper area of the lateral wall of the liquid container. To this end, the tap comprises a lateral inlet opening (21) which is oriented downward when the tap is mounted and which is provided for coupling, in a sealing manner, to an ascending tube (34), and comprises elements (6, 7, 8), which control the entrance of liquid into the tap and to the outlet (of the tap hole) in an appropriate manner. The invention also relates to a liquid container with a corresponding opening (36) for and with this tap.

  • Patent number: 8056761
Abstract: A pouring device for a liquid filled container that fits into the neck of a container opening. The pouring device has a buoyant hollow ball valve that when the container or bottle is seated in its normal vertical storage position is pressed against an inner lip of the pouring device to form a seal by a spring that is seated on a distal inner lip of the pouring device. The valve opens when the container is inverted as the hollow ball valve is so buoyant that it overcomes the spring bias, thereby allowing the container's fluid contents to pour out. The hollow ball valve's movement is controlled by at least one vertical projection along the length of the pouring device.

  • Patent number: 8038035
Abstract: A spouted container comprises a container and a vented spout that fluidly communicates with the container. The vented spout defines a fluid passageway extending therethrough and includes a conduit housing and a cover that cooperatively form a vented chamber. The vented chamber fluidly communicates with the passageway through a pair of spaced apart vent openings presented by the conduit housing. The vented chamber also fluidly communicates with ambient through a vent opening presented by the cover. The vented spout further includes a locking valve assembly that restricts inadvertent opening of the spouted container. The assembly includes a shiftable valve that normally occludes the passageway and a trigger operably coupled to the valve for opening and closing the valve. The trigger includes a catch that holds the trigger in a locked condition when the valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 8016168
Abstract: A dispense tap for a frozen beverage machine has a transition section defining a tapered bore with an inlet for frozen beverage from a freeze barrel of the machine and an outlet for frozen beverage controlled by a valve operable by a handle. The handle is rotatable to allow frozen beverage to flow from the transition section through a dispense cavity in the valve for exiting the tap. The outlet has a cross-section greater than the cross-section of the inlet which prevents ice conglomerating and forming a plug in the bore of the transition section.

  • Patent number: 7997461
Abstract: A gravity discharge device for liquids, especially concentrated liquid detergents, comprises a valve guide system whose surface area optimizes liquid flow. The discharge is especially useful with concentrated (“2×”) liquid detergents, whose viscosities tend to unacceptably slow their flow rate from home-use containers, especially when the containers progressively empty after multiple uses.

  • Patent number: 7967172
Abstract: A dispenser for a container has an annular ring with a central portion which has at least one aperture. The annular ring is attached to a valve dimensioned to close an opening of the dispenser. The valve is operatively associated with the opening and biased in the closed position. Depressing the annular ring acts as an actuator to cause the valve to move inwardly into the container and away from the opening, thereby allowing the contents to be dispensed from the container through the at least one aperture of the annular ring.

Abstract: A draw-off valve for a drinks reservoir and a drinks reservoir provided with a draw-off valve of this type. The draw-off valve comprises a tubular body, a plunger member, and a spring member. Viewed in the direction of passage, the channel narrows, at an internal narrowing, from a first internal cross section to a second internal cross section; the narrowing forms a seat for the underside, facing the outlet, of the head. The spring member acts with bias, on the one hand, on the tubular body and, on the other hand, on the plunger in order to press the underside of the head against the seat. The seat and the underside of the head are formed in such a way that, when positioned against each other under the influence of the biasing of the spring member, they form a sealing closure of the channel.

  • Publication number: 20110042420
Abstract: A dispensing tap for beverages that comprises an actuator and a valve housing. A conical spring washer is joined and/or sealed to an actuator base to form the actuator. The actuator is then inserted into the valve housing to form the dispensing tap for attachment to a container containing a liquid. In use, a force is exerted on the conical spring washer to actuate the actuator base within the valve housing and thereby create an opening and/or passageway in the dispensing tap. Once opened and as the force is maintained, the liquid in the container can flow through the opening or passageway for dispensing the liquid out the dispensing tap. Upon releasing the force, the conical spring washer returns back to its original position. This movement of the conical spring washer causes the actuator base to move in the reverse direction within the valve housing thereby closing the opening and/or eliminating the passageway in the dispensing tap.
