For Elements Reciprocable Axially Of Discharge Opening Patents (Class 222/518)
  • Publication number: 20110042421
Abstract: A liquid dispenser includes an outer tube (2) with a discharge opening formed in its side wall and an inner tube (4), which is at least partially accommodated within the outer tube and defines with it an annular space, which accommodates an annular sealing member (20), which forms a peripheral seal with the inner and outer tubes. The other end of the outer tube is adapted for connection to a liquid container. A liquid flow opening (30) is formed in the wall of the inner tube and the inner tube is movable longitudinally within the outer tube between an open position, in which the liquid flow opening communicates with the discharge opening (14), and a closed position, in which the liquid flow path is sealed. An air flow passage with two ends is formed in the inner tube, which is so arranged that when the inner tube is in the open position one of the ends communicates with the discharge opening and the air flow passage.

  • Patent number: 7278557
Abstract: A pressure container is used for receiving viscous substances and has an outlet valve (14) which can be displaced between a closed position and an open position. A movable valve element (18) can be moved in the direction toward the interior of the container for unblocking an opening cross section. Since, on the one hand, a large opening cross section is desired and, on the other hand, it is necessary to overcome a very high initial resistance because of particles penetrating into the interior of the container, it is proposed to provide at least two opening cross sections which can be unblocked in sequence by actuating the valve. By means of this an initial small actuating force is achieved along with a still large opening cross section when the valve (14) is completely opened.

Abstract: A drip resistant dispensing valve for fluids is disclosed, which provides a dispensing outlet configured to minimize the tendency for fluid to drip from the valve following a dispensing operation. The dispensing outlet exhibits curved interior surfaces and a curved outlet face construction; the face situated a distance away from the valve body. Such construction assists in minimizing the retention of fluid on the surfaces of the dispensing outlet, and migration of the fluid to surfaces outside of the dispensing outlet that could tend to promote growth of biological contaminates and/or provide additional surfaces that could pool fluid following a dispensing operation and thereafter drip from the valve. A shell is provided around the dispensing outlet to assist in avoiding contamination of the valve and of the fluid being dispensed through the valve, and to aid in positioning a receptacle for receiving fluid from the dispensing valve.

Abstract: A food seasoning quantitative dispenser includes a body, a supporter, a center rod, a cap unit and a base. The body has a chamber for storing seasoning, and a conical neck. The supporter has plural feet, an annular wall, a central tubular member and an outlet between the feet, and located under the conical neck. The center rod has two flanges, an annular groove between the flanges and a bottom hole for a spring to fit in. The cap unit has a cap body, a button and a stop disc. When the button is pressed down, the center rod is moved down to let the seasoning fall down through the open bottom of the body and received in the base closed on the bottom of the body. The fallen amount is definite for one time of pressing, so a user can adjust the amount by repeating pressing the button.

Abstract: Disclosed is a container for containing a beverage and a grommet for use with a container, and a method of retaining liquid in a container and preventing reverse flow out of the container. The container is of the type for retaining a quantity of beverage including at least one wall containing a cavity therein, a rim defining a mouth, and a lid extending at least partially over the mouth. A valve port is provided in the lid. A grommet is provided for retention in the valve port including a flange and structures for retaining the grommet in the valve port. The grommet defines an aperture extending therethrough which communicates with the valve port. The beverage is passed through the aperture and valve port for retention in the cavity of the container. A tongue extends from the grommet into the valve port for movably blocking a portion of the valve port.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a fluid includes a housing, a fluid reservoir placed in the housing, and a pump. The pump includes a nozzle protruding therefrom and an operating part connected to the fluid reservoir. When the operating part is moved from an initial position, in which flow of fluid through the pump from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle is substantially prevented, in a direction of pumping, fluid is pumped from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle. The dispenser also includes a resilient element which, upon movement of the operating part from the initial position, exerts a force opposed to the direction of pumping. The nozzle forms part of the operating part and is at an angle relative to the direction of pumping. The engagement mechanism externally engages an area of a part of the nozzle protruding from the operating part.

Abstract: A device for dispensing a liquid includes a dispenser body having a liquid passage and an air passage. A valve stem is mounted in the dispenser body and reciprocates between an open position allowing liquid flow and a closed position preventing liquid flow. A pre-assembled unitary seal assembly is threadably engaged with the dispenser body and includes a housing having a bore therethrough. The housing includes a first and second seal members positioned within the bore that each form a dynamic seal with the valve stem to prevent air and liquid from leaking out of the air and liquid passages. The housing further includes a static seal between the outside of the housing and the dispenser body. The valve stem may be moved to an open position by pressurized air acting on a piston and moved to the closed position by a spring-return mechanism to selectively dispense the liquid.
