Abstract: An apparatus for releasing a fish into deep water, comprising a central member having an upper end portion and a lower end portion, a spiral member attached to the central member, the spiral member being spaced away from the central member and having a free end, a plurality of swivels, wherein one of the swivels can be connected the upper end portion of the central member and another of said swivels can be connected to the lower end portion of the central member, and a weight connected to the lower swivel. The device can further provide a weight on the central member that overcomes buoyancy of the fish.

Abstract: A seat belt guide assembly for a vehicle includes a webbing guide defining a slot for slidably receiving a seat belt web, a pivot mounted to the webbing guide, and a track configured to slidably receive the pivot and provide a path of travel for the webbing guide. A resilient member may be disposed within the track for biasing the pivot. The webbing guide includes a bottom and a cover together defining the slot, the cover being hingedly connected to the bottom at a first end and having a releasable closure disposed at an opposed end. The pivot may be defined by a stem attached to the webbing guide and a head attached to the stem. Configurations of the head provide a rotational and/or a pivoting movement of the webbing guide. A safety harness assembly incorporating the described webbing guide is provided also.

Abstract: A buckle assembly includes a hollow buckle body and an insertable buckle latch with elongate latching legs. A separate reciprocable slide element carried by the buckle latch element with cam surfaces, angled relative to the longitudinal axis of the buckle that overlies the free ends of the latching legs. The cam surfaces are associated with angled surfaces on the latching legs forward of the latching edges. Movement of the slide element relative to the latch element causes the cam surfaces to urge the free ends of the latching legs together to unlatch the latching legs from the hollow buckle body locking edges. Abstract: A strap with tapered-apertures for open-heeled swim fins is stretched from a first end connection to a conventional boss-button and boss-post structure, whereby the strap will apply a desired level of force as a holding-pressure against the heel of a swimmer. The strap's tapered-apertures are cast to link the tapered dimensions of aperture walls to an easy passage of the strap over the boss button and to a highly resistant passage of the strap-top to a designed seat against the top's raised arches. The manufactured formation of the unique aperture shapes result in an unexpected elasticity of the strap. The combination of aperture structure within the raised arches guide the orifice walls of the aperture into compression, instead of tension, greatly resisting forces to release the strap from the boss-posts and buttons.

The bottom of the buckle member and rotary member are respectively coupled by way of a downwardly tapered conical body, and conical hole, and which have the same concentric axis. A length of surface of external circumference is longer than the length of the inner circumference of the conical hole. This arrangement improves the traditional buckle and effectively reduces the wearing to prevent the entire buckle set from loosening or falling off, and thus extends the life of use.

Abstract: A coupling mechanism secures a radiographic source connector to a drive assembly to prevent unintentional release. The source connector includes a cup sleeve with a sleeve slot cut along its axis. The sleeve is spring-loaded to capture the ball end of a drive assembly by applying a positive locking force from the spring. The sleeve slot provides clearance for the neck of the ball end of the drive connector ball. This clearance allows the source connector to pivot approximately 90° without detaching from the drive cable at any angle or orientation. The source connector cannot be disconnected from the drive assembly due to a force applied in any direction. The only mechanism for release is to intentionally move the sleeve in a direction opposite the urging of the spring and then remove the drive connector ball.

Abstract: A clip for connecting to a ring or the like has a resilient bow and first and second hook portions at first and second ends of the bow. The second hook portion has a pair of spaced apart hook parts. A hook is formed in each hook portion. The clip can be opened by squeezing the bow in a transverse direction until the first hook portion extends between the hook parts of the second hook portion with the hooks facing one another. The first hook portion extends far enough that a gap exists between the hook portions through which a ring may be inserted into the hooks. When the clip is released, the bow biases the hook portions outwardly so that the ring is captured in a loop formed by the hooks. The clip may be fabricated from resilient plastic. The clip has many uses anywhere that it is desirable to clip something to a ring or the like. The clip may be made so that it is easy to open while wearing gloves.

The improvement provides a means of attaching removable ornamentation that is resistant to accidental dislodgment, and the ornamentation may be attached to virtually any part of the shoe, including the heel and toe regions of the shoe upper.
