Abstract: A locking system for locking a container to a vehicle includes a locking assembly mounted to a hoist frame and a striker assembly mounted to the vehicle chassis. The locking assembly has at least one hook for hooking over a frame member of the container. The hook has a center of mass that biases the hook to an unlocked position. The striker assembly strikes the hook at a location to move the hook against the bias of the hook's center of mass into a locked position in which the hook is hooked over the frame member of the container. As the hoist frame supporting the container is lowered, the striker assembly contacts the hook and rotates the hook against the bias of the hook's center of mass into the locked position. As the hoist frame is raised, the hook rises as well and loses contact with the striker assembly, thereby falling away from the hoist frame and unlocking the container. A positive or mechanical unlocking mechanism prevents the hooks from binding to the container.

Abstract: An emergency lighting device and system comprising a lighting device is disclosed. The lighting device may comprise with photo-luminescent plastic to make the lighting device visible in the dark. In particular embodiments, a bracket in a storage container capable of being mounted on a wall secures a flashlight in the storage container. Utilization of the system with a flashlight enables the individual to move to a safer location, find their way out of the area, or to help others without an emergency light station nearby.

Abstract: An universal holder is applied to a display for loading an auxiliary apparatus. The universal holder has a bottom plate, a first clamp and a second clamp. The bottom plate is combined with the display. The bottom plate has a first rail and a second rail. The first rail is not parallel to the second rail. The first clamp is disposed on the first rail. The second clamp is disposed on the second rail, and cooperates with the first clamp to fasten the auxiliary apparatus.

Abstract: A vehicular beverage container holder comprises a receptacle with an elongated compartment and an adjuster assembly mounted to the receptacle to define separate beverage container compartments within the compartment for receiving individual beverage containers. The adjuster assembly comprises a body and a pair of adjusters slidably mounted to and extending from opposite sides of the body. Rotation of a knob and gear assembly of the adjuster assembly effects movement of the adjusters relative to the body to adjust the sizes of openings for the beverage container compartments for accommodating a range of beverage container sizes. Additionally, the knob and gear assembly includes a slip clutch mechanism that enables movement of one of the adjusters while movement of the other of the adjusters is retarded by a beverage container.

Abstract: A wall mountable razor holder is provided. The razor holder has two pairs of curved arms extending from a back plate and wall mounting structure, such as a suction cup. The razor holder retains a safety razor at least one of two alternate positions. A head down position will ensure adequate drainage from the razor to ensure an erodable shaving aid body member of the razor will not soften from unnecessary contact with water. A head up position will be more familiar to a user.

Abstract: A bracket for holding of cylindrical tanks such as emergency breathing tanks adjacent to a wall surface or behind a seat surface in a detachable manner with positive engagement released by an operative release line. An upper and lower securement strap are secured together at an engaging tab which straps extend around the tank when the tab is engaged and can be easily released for rapid exit. A webbing extends between the upper and lower securement straps for minimizing any entanglements or catching of the straps on protruding portions of the tank.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a beverage holder assembly. In some embodiments, a beverage holder assembly may comprise a clamp device comprising a screw for tightening a first arm and a second arm to attach the clamp device to a structure. The screw may comprise a head having parallel sides. The beverage holder assembly may comprise a beverage housing to support a beverage container. The beverage housing may define a track to receive the head of the screw. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A platform is provided for securing a container while contents within the container are being mixed. A plurality of engagement blocks and a wedge member extend upwardly from a platform and define a container engagement area into which the container is placed. The wedge member is moved into an engagement position that decreases the container engagement area and secures the container. An area on the platform is provided on which a user stands to provide additional stability to the platform. A support block may be provided behind the wedge member. Channels may be provided to divert debris from the surface of the platform. A handle support may be provided to support tools in an upright position when not in use.

Abstract: A mounting bracket assembly is provided for releasably holding a self-contained breathing apparatus. The assembly includes a mounting plate, a clamping arrangement secured on an upper portion of the mounting plate and movable between an unlatched position and a latched position relative to the self-contained breathing apparatus, a guide connected on an intermediate portion of the mounting plate and a support structure mounted on a lower portion of the mounting plate. The clamping arrangement includes a pivot arm having an actuator plate biased forwardly of the mounting plate in the unlatched position, and a self-contained breathing apparatus engaging clamp swung upwardly above the mounting plate in the unlatched position. The clamping arrangement further includes a latching mechanism engageable and disengageable with the pivot arm for providing latched and unlatched positions.

Abstract: The safety receptacle is used with an intravenous drip assembly having an intravenous drip, a needle and a tip protector and has a front bracket, a connecting bracket, a rear bracket, at least one C-clip and two clipping sheets. The C-clip is formed on the front bracket to hold the intravenous drip. The clipping sheets are mounted pivotally between the front and rear brackets. The needle can be held in and removed out from the tip protector. The tip protector can be held in the safety receptacle by the clipping sheets. When the clipping sheets are pivoted, the tip protector is released and can be removed from the safety receptacle.

Abstract: A mechanical bracket for positively engaging of a generally cylindrical tank such as an SCBA tank in an inverted position mounted to a planar surface such as within the back of a fire truck seat. The apparatus includes a uniquely configured top clamping member which is pivotally mounted to selectively engage the upwardly facing bottom of the tank as well as including a bumper immediately thereadjacent which is adjustably positionable for abutment with the lower end of the tank which is facing upwardly. A uniquely configured foot plate is provided having a tank receiving zone defined therewithin for holding of the upper valving area of such tanks. A unique locking mechanism and release mechanism is also provided.

Abstract: A mountable bicycle structure is provided that can be clamped onto different sized tubular members such as handlebars by using different adapter members. The mountable bicycle structure basically includes a component support portion, a tubular clamping portion, a tightening structure and an adapter member. The tubular clamping portion has a split ring configuration to define an adjustable inner diameter that extends around a center axis. The tightening structure is coupled to first and second ends of the tubular clamping portion to selectively reduce the adjustable inner diameter. The adapter member has a split ring configuration with an outer surface removably arranged on the inner surface of the tubular clamping portion. The tubular clamping portion and the adapter member are arranged and configured to align the split of the adapter member with the attachment slot of the tubular clamping portion.

The second body part includes a second lamp fixing portion being combined with the first lamp fixing portion and defining a space through which a lamp is inserted to be fixed.

Abstract: A cylinder back plate includes a frame member 11 and a cylinder clamp 12 connected to the frame member 11 by means of a pivot 13. The cylinder clamp 12 comprises a band of rigid or semi-rigid material. The cylinder clamp 12 has a retaining position with respect to the frame member 11, wherein the cylinder clamp extends substantially perpendicularly to the plane of the frame member. The frame member 11 lies parallel to a back plate of the harness or is constituted by the back plate of the harness. Thus, when the cylinder clamp 12 is in the retaining position a cylinder can be retained securely to the frame member and sliding of the cylinder relative to the frame member or back plate can be prevented. When it is desired to attach a new cylinder to the harness, the cylinder clamp 12 can be pivoted into a loading position.

Abstract: A bottle holder includes a first flexible strap that is clamped around a bottle, with an end of the strap being clamped by pivoting a locking lever in a locking block. A first version of the bottle holder has a clip for attachment to the belt or waistband of the user's clothing. A second version has a second belt for attachment to a stationary member, such as the rail of an exercise machine.

Abstract: An apparatus to aid in the filling or refilling of a flexible, collapsible container having a pour spout and a method for using same. The apparatus includes a center frame element having attached to its upper end an upper frame element adapted to receive at least a portion of the pour spout of the container. At its lower end, the center frame element is attached to a lower frame element adapted to cradle a lower portion of the container being filled and to urge the container toward the center frame element as the flexible, collapsible container fills and expands. The apparatus is portable and may be removably mounted to a variety of vertical or horizontal surfaces.

Abstract: The present invention affords an adjustable beverage container holder The holder has a sleeve, a movable jaw located at least partially within the sleeve, and an adjusting ring. The sleeve has a sleeve axis and the jaw has at least one groove and a container surface that is coaxial with the sleeve axis. The adjusting ring is rotatably mounted to the sleeve and has a rigid member that engages the groove on the jaw. Upon rotation of the adjusting ring with respect to the sleeve and about the sleeve axis, the engagement of the sleeve gear tooth rigid member with the groove moves the jaw either into or away from the sleeve axis. In this manner, an adjustable beverage container holder is provided.

Abstract: A bracket for holding of cylindrical tanks such as emergency breathing tanks adjacent to a wall surface or behind a seat surface in a detachable manner with positive engagement released by an operative release line. An upper and lower securement strap are secured together at an engaging tab which straps extend around the tank when the tab is engaged and can be easily released for rapid exit. A webbing extends between the upper and lower securement straps for minimizing any entanglements or catching of the straps on protruding portions of the tank.

Abstract: An improved pony bottle bracket that is light weight, compact, simple to use, and facilitates a quick and easy set-up is disclosed. A push button latch enables a diver to quickly disconnect the pony bottle from the main bottle. The pony tank bracket and base unit bracket are mounted by use of a belt and adjustable band straps. The locking mechanism is self-contained, thereby eliminating or minimizing the use of separate components (e.g., no clevis, hitch, cotter or quick release pins) which may be lost. The bracket also eliminates or reduces the use of any items which may entangle the diver or entangle other objects in the diver's surroundings (e.g., no string, cord, chain or lanyards). The bracket is bidirectional (e.g., reversible) such that the top bracket mount may be rotated between about 0 and 180 degrees.

Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a compressed-air bottle. The apparatus has a bottle support, a plurality of glide inserts projecting away from the bottle support and engageable with a compressed-air bottle supported on the apparatus, and a tightening strap for exerting a force on a compressed-air bottle supported by the apparatus. The tightening strap draws a compressed-air bottle against the glide inserts so that the glide inserts are repositioned relative to the bottle support.

Abstract: A housing for a liquid crystal display module includes an upper housing, a lower housing and at least one shock absorber. The lower housing has one-stage inner sidewalls to define a top room and a bottom room for accommodating a liquid crystal display panel and a backlight module respectively. The at least one shock absorber on a top surface of the one-stage inner sidewalls has an inclined elastic protrusion with a free end for elastically supporting the liquid crystal display panel when the lower housing is assembled with the upper housing.

Abstract: A mounting bracket having a living hinge operable to enable mounting straps of the mounting bracket to move between retracted and extended positions. In the extended position, the mounting straps are configured to extend around and retain a fire extinguisher. In the retracted position, the mounting straps are removed from the fire extinguisher. The living hinge may include a continuous piece of material that extends between the mounting straps and a base member of the mounting bracket to which the mounting straps are coupled.

Abstract: In a holder for minicomputers or similar apparatus, including a planar body, which is inclined in a normal operating position, and clamping jaws arranged at opposite sides for engaging therebetween an apparatus placed onto the planar body, the planar body has at least at one end thereof a guide groove with stop fingers slidably supported in the guide groove so as to extend therefrom upwardly above the surface of the planar body to prevent any apparatus from sliding off the planar body, the stop fingers being position adjustable along the guide slot for accommodating plug or connections provided at the bottom end of the apparatus.

Abstract: A dry powder fire extinguisher recharging system charges and discharges a bottle with dry powder. The system includes a frame unit and various components associated with it, such as a clamp assembly to clamp a bottle assembly. The bottle assembly has a bottle in a pre-discharge or a discharge condition, and a valve. There are also components including locking plungers, a torque idler to torque and untorque the valve, a fill valve to recharge the bottle assembly, a fill gauge to pressurize the bottle assembly to the required pressures, a recharge line to charge the bottle assembly with the pressurizing agent, a discharge line to discharge a fully charged bottle, and a socket and an extension. The system also has a valve service area to re-service the valve, and a sprayer gun to remove dry powder residue from the valve during re-servicing of the valve.

Abstract: A vehicle storage compartment/cupholder assembly having a molded base into which is mounted a pair of flexible invertible dividers that allow for the secure retention of various sized beverage containers. The flexible invertible dividers may be mounted and tensioned by an internal or external flexible divider spring. The molded base may have a liner mounted therein which may be a liquid barrier, a tensioning device in place of a traditional spring, or both.

Abstract: A cup adapter inserted in a cup holder of an automobile to increase cup retaining force. The cup adapter comprises a bottom wall adapted to be in close contact with a bottom surface of the cup holder; and a cylindrical side wall having plural convex guide portions, wherein the plural convex guide portions are inwardly projected and each have a concave recess in the external sides thereof, and plural frictional projections are formed in the concave recess, the frictional projections being horizontally projected.

Abstract: A container holder includes a member disposed in a closed position to be able to draw into an open position, a driving device attached to the member to move the member between the closed position and the open position, and a sensing device for sensing whether or not the member is drawn out for a predetermined amount from the closed position. A control device controls the driving device to cause the member to be housed when the sensing device senses that the member is not drawn out for a predetermined amount. Also, a container placed on a tray can be sensed assuredly regardless of vibration during a movement of a vehicle.

Abstract: A water heater security system includes a woven, flexible strap disposed around a water heater to maintain the water heater in a fixed relationship with an adjacent wall. The system includes a pair of wall brackets and may include a buckle assembly. The strap may be formed with two or four ends at least one of which is adjustably attachable to one of the wall brackets or buckle. The buckle can be stamped from metal and bent back on itself to form a slide channel with two sidebars and a crossbar. A slide is disposed within the channel. Side flanges can be formed on the buckle portions or the slide.

Abstract: A lightweight holding device for releasably attaching a chemiluminescent light stick to a fishing float is disclosed. The device includes a first side for releasably attaching to the fishing float, and a second side for releasably holding a chemiluminescent light stick. The first side typically includes two pairs of gripping arms, one at the top and one at the bottom, which are able to releasably receive a portion of the fishing float. The second side typically includes two pedestals, one at the top and one at the bottom, each of which are able to releasably receive an end of the light stick. The top pedestal typically defines a ceiling pocket, and the bottom pedestal a floor pocket, for one of the ends of the light stick to fit into. The first and second sides are typically integrally formed and oriented to face away from one another.

Abstract: A vehicle cupholder comprises a generally planar support member that is pivotable about a horizontal axis between a horizontal open position and a vertical stowed position. The support member includes a first curved wall and a first retaining arm retaining a container when in a horizontal open position. A first retaining arm is pivotally mounted to the support member in a plane parallel to the plane of the support member. A first mounting bracket includes a cam-shaped outer perimeter surface in constant contact with first retaining arm. The retaining arm is slideable along the outer perimeter surface between the extended position and the retracted position. The outer perimeter surface exerts a biasing force on the first retaining arm as the support member is pivoted from the horizontal open position to the vertical stowed position so as to pivot the first retaining arm from the extended position to the retracted position.

Abstract: An antirotation device for preventing undesired rotation of a barrel in which a viscous fluid is being mixed or stirred. The device includes a subsstantially-planar member of generally-rectangular shape. An internal aperture is provided for accommodating a barrel. A clip is provided at the end of a chain that is engaged to a minor side of the substantially-planar member for grasping the brim of the barrel and elevating that side while anti-skid tape is fixed to the substantially-planar member adjacent the other minor side to provide a region onto which the worker may step firmly and securely and thereby effectively apply force for counteracting the torque applied to the barrel by the stirred or mixed viscous fluid. In an alternative embodiment, a rigid elongated strip that includes a hooked end is flexibly engaged to the substantially-planar member by means of a ring in the place of the chain and clip of the other embodiment.

Abstract: A cup bottom extension apparatus includes a shell, a bottom tray and a plurality of paws. The shell may be coupled with the bottom of a cup in an integrated or detachable manner. Each of the paws has a stud shaft to couple with an axle hole formed on the bottom of the shell so that the paws are in contact with the bottom side of the shell in a spaced manner. The bottom tray has a latch member on the top side to couple with a step opening formed in the center of a collar on the bottom of the shell. The upper surface of the bottom tray has a plurality of struts to couple with the slots of the paws. Thereby the paws are sandwiched between the bottom side of the shell and the upper surface of the bottom tray.

Abstract: A mechanical bracket is provided for providing enhanced quick release for attaching and detaching of a tank such as a air tank with respect thereto usually by emergency workers such as firemen and the like. The tank includes a secure clamping mechanism for firmly and fixedly and yet detachably securing a tank preferably vertically relative to a wall wherein two driveshafts are rotatable between a closed position holding the tank and an open position releasing the tank. A uniquely designed guide boss configuration is fixedly secured to the frame immediately behind each driveshaft to prevent lateral flexing thereof which normally occurs when a tank is firmly clamped therebetween. Each guide boss preferably includes at least one profile guide surface partially encircling the adjacent driveshaft to minimize flexing thereof and is spaced therefrom at approximately five to ten thousandths of an inch for controlling such flexing.

The holding member may include an arcuate surface and a flexible member for holding a cylindrical article, such as a water bottle, against the arcuate surface. Abstract: A quick release canister supporting apparatus includes a mounting bracket mountable to a rigid support, a rigid, canister retaining frame releasably mountable into mating engagement with the mounting bracket, and at least one latch cooperating between the mounting bracket and the retaining frame for the releasable mounting into mating engagement of the retaining frame with the mounting bracket. The latch may be mounted to the mounting bracket or to the retaining frame. A manually operable release actuator may cooperate with the latch for selective actuation of the latch to release the retaining frame from the mounting bracket. The retaining frame defines a rigid cavity having an opening for receiving a gas canister substantially completely into the cavity.

Abstract: A clamp for connecting a cylindrical temperature sensor axis-parallel with a tube has a bendable metallic tension band which tension band on its one end portion has a first jaw and at its other end section is shapewise connectable with a second jaw, and which clamp also has a tension screw. The tension screw is inserted through a bore in the first jaw and is threaded through a threaded bore in the second jaw. To be able to connect the sensor and tube rigidly with little heat transfer resistance the second jaw has a bent plate with two legs. The first leg is provided with the threaded bore and the second leg with a slot through which the other end section can be passed. The tension band length is so chosen that the other end section after the wrapping of the tension band around the temperature sensor and the tube as well as its being passed through the slot is bendable down onto the second leg. The tension screw length is so chosen that after its tightening it lies on the bent down end section.

Abstract: An assembly developed for the purpose of detachably mounting an illuminating means to the upper portion of an existing headstone or monument by means of an appropriate mounting assembly. In place, the mounting assembly extends above the top portion of the headstone, and preferably, a lighting means, such as a solar powered light provides illumination over the headstone or monument. The mounting assembly includes a base member, and a lower bracket assembly for detachably mounting the monument assembly to the top portion of a headstone or monument. The lower bracket assembly cooperates with the back panel member so that the lower portion of the back panel member and a vertical end of the lower bracket assembly extends downward and adjustably overlap the top portion of the headstone.

The retaining frame includes at least one selectively releasable canister rotation restraint for inhibiting rotation and sliding of the canister about and along its longitudinal axis.

Abstract: An inexpensive, durable, clamping-action type mountable holder and area organizer for securing a relatively wide range and variety of objects, particularly open- and close-end containers, including a broad range of Dim. cans, and a method of lockingly and stably holding desired objects that possess opposing curved and/or straight lipped edges, in convenient locations for ready access, whereby the object is secured in place with a single unidirectional pushing force applied to the object itself, but is instantly releasable with a minimum of force and movement/manipulation via a second low-magnitude unidirectional pushing force exerted on the object so as to effect a tipping action of the object relative to the holder. Single wire and single sheet metal embodiments are disclosed, and adjustability of each of such embodiments is provided to extend the range of object sizes accommodated by the holder.

Abstract: Structures for securing a fluid containment cylinder at the neck portion of the cylinder include a mounting frame having a bore disposed therein and a slot disposed orthogonally to the central axis of the bore. The neck of the cylinder passes through the bore and a u-bolt passes through the slot, registering against a shoulder on the neck of the cylinder, thereby securing the cylinder within the block. In other embodiments, the securing structure includes a collar for preventing rotation of the cylinder or for accommodating a certain degree of misalignment of the cylinder with respect to the securement structure.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting a push-button piezo igniter to a gas valve on a water heater, while also providing electrical ground connection of the piezo igniter to the gas valve. In particular, the present invention provides a bracket that snugly receives the push-button piezo igniter and contacts to an external conductive end of the piezo igniter to provide grounding through a clip that engages and securely attaches to the gas valve.
