Abstract: A clamping holder for a lamp used for a flowerpot comprising an inverse "U" shaped main body having a lock seat and a clamping bolt, the main body is formed on the two ends thereof respectively a shovel shaped insertion arm and a plain clamping arm. The insertion arm is for inserting into the soil for positioning the clamping holder. The plain clamping arm is provided with a threaded hole for screwing therein the clamping bolt. Thereby the clamping holder is firmly mounted on the flowerpot or the flower nursery platform, while a lock seat provided thereon is used to mount the lamp. Convenience of use and firmness of fixing of the flowerpot lamp can thus be achieved.

The inlet and the outlet are provided in one and the other, respectively, of two jaws (12, 14), and at least one of these is guided for linear displacement towards and away from the other one for engaging the jaws with the powder cartridge (11) under connection of the inlet and the outlet to a hollow stud (18, 19; 31) on the powder cartridge positioned between the jaws for conducting liquid through the cartridge, or for interengaging of the jaws for short circuit of the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: A container holder includes a base for mounting within a recess in a vehicle accessory, such as an armrest or console of a vehicle, a cover pivotally mounted to the base and movable between a position substantially flush with the surface of the accessory and pivotally movable to a generally vertically extended position defining a support wall to which a container holding arm or arms are pivotally mounted at an end remote from the pivotal connection of the cover to the base. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a leaf spring mounted to the cover to releasably hold the cover in a closed position and in a vertically extended use position. In a preferred embodiment also, this spring also releasably holds the container holder arm in a horizontally extended use position.

Abstract: A water heater restraint for securing a vertical cylindrical water heater adjacent a wall. The restraint has an elongated strap surrounding the water heater and is secured to a wall by a pair of clamps which each have at least one hole. Each clamp guides one end of the elongated strap on its rear surface before fastening the end of the elongated strap to the wall by at least one fastener which extends through the hole(s), through the wall, and into wall studs behind the wall.

Abstract: Dual posts mounted to a base with a support bar with a winch on one end fastened at right angles to the rearward side of the dual posts and a non stretchable belt fastened at a beginning end to one of the posts and pulled around the cylinder to be immobilized into a winch thereby allowing the cylinder to be held immobile by the force of the belt pushing the cylinder against the posts when the winch is tightened.

Abstract: A drink container-holding device including a support, an adjustable drink-holder assembly and an adjuster assembly. The support having a cup opening provided through a top wall thereof for receiving a cup and an adjuster opening provided through a first side wall thereof for receiving the adjuster assembly. The adjustable drink-holder assembly depending from a lower surface of the top wall near the cup opening. The adjuster assembly attaching to an exterior surface of the first side wall near the adjuster opening, extending through the adjuster opening and retaining the drink-holder assembly by means of an adjuster band. The drink-holder assembly including an adjustable diameter sleeve portion having a diameter adjustable by constriction and dilation of the adjuster band.

Abstract: A mounting mechanism is provided for mounting a second SCUBA tank (e.g. a pony tank) to a first SCUBA tank (e.g. a main SCUBA tank). The mounting mechanism includes a bracket having a first curved outer surface for engaging the first SCUBA tank, having a second curved outer surface for engaging a second SCUBA tank, and having a connecting portion connecting the first curved outer surface to the second curved outer surface, a passage being formed in the connecting portion. A first clamp extends through the passage in the connecting portion and secures the second SCUBA tank to the second curved outer surface. A second clamp, for example the existing BCD strap of a main SCUBA tank, extends through the passage in the connecting portion and secures the second SCUBA tank to the first curved outer surface.

Abstract: A compressed natural gas cylinder mounting assembly is disclosed for supporting and coupling a compressed natural gas cylinder to the underside of a natural gas vehicle. The compressed natural gas cylinder mounting assembly has a pair of mounting bracket assemblies with one mounting bracket assembly coupled to each end of the compressed natural gas cylinder. Each of the mounting bracket assemblies has a pair of structural beams which are coupled to the underside of the vehicle and a pair of vertical mounting plates coupled to the ends of the structural beams and then attached to the underside of the vehicle. Each of the mounting brackets includes a cylinder brace with a pair of clamping bands for engaging and encircling the compressed natural gas cylinder. In an alternate embodiment, the structural beams are extendible.

Abstract: An automatic ice-making mechanism for a refrigerator includes a tray having a groove on its bottom surface. A temperature sensor is mounted in the groove. The temperature sensor includes a temperature-sensitive element disposed at a top of the groove, an insulating member disposed beneath the temperature-sensitive element, and a housing pushing the insulating member upwardly against the walls of the groove. The housing has a pair of ribs, each rib carrying a projection that fits into a respective eye formed on the bottom of the tray. The ribs are elastically flexible toward one another to enable the projections to be removed from the eyes.

Abstract: A holding device to receive a drink container is provided for installation in a horizontal surface, for example a central console of a motor vehicle. In order to be able to accommodate the holding device in a small installation space and to recess it completely in its installation surface, the invention proposes a pivot arm which, after being unlocked, pivots, actuated by a spring, from a recumbent position into an upright position and thereby displaces a displaceable, upright arm upwards into a holding position. In order, with a narrow installation space, to engage securely around an inserted drink container, the holding device further has holding wings which, during the displacement of the displaceable arm into the holding position pivot out laterally.

Abstract: A flexible bottle holder for feeding livestock. The bottle holder includes a main support body configured for supporting a livestock feeding bottle thereon. Opposing side support arms extend upwardly from either side of the support body and are configured to grip the feeding bottle therebetween as the bottle rests upon the support body. A gripping member is coupled to the support body and includes a first wall and a resilient U-shaped member intercoupled with the first wall. The U-shaped member is configured to deflect responsive to contact with the support edge, and is spaced apart from the first wall by a distance which is less than the width of the support edge. When the gripping member is placed upon the support edge, such as over the top of a calf stall wall, the support edge resides sandwiched between the first wall and the U-shaped member in a firm grip.

Abstract: A water purifier includes a casing and water filters disposed inside of the casing. The filters are mounted in vertically spaced brackets that are fixed within the casing. Each bracket includes a snap ring in which a respective filter is elastically clamped. Each filter includes vertically spaced hooks, each hook engaged in a hole of a respective snap ring and engaging a top surface of the respective snap ring. Each filter including vertically spaced ribs engageable with bottom sides of respective snap rings. The hooks and ribs preventing the filters from moving vertically relative to the brackets.

Abstract: A dental hygiene apparatus, comprised of a toothbrush with a detachable, disposable head and an enlarged handle providing a comfortable, secure grip for people with limited rise of the hand, such as persons with arthritis or other crippling diseases of the hands. The apparatus also comprises a rack with projections adapted to securely hold a plurality of brushes along with a toothpaste tube and a mouthwash bottle.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for use in holding a cylindrical tank secure and preventing it from being dislodged during an earthquake is disclosed. A pair of mounting brackets are attached to a supporting surface on either side of the cylindrical tank through holes in the mounting brackets by threaded bolts. An adjustable stabilizer bracket is positioned between the cylindrical tank and the supporting wall to keep the cylindrical tank from moving towards the wall. The adjustable stabilizer bracket adjusts to accommodate a variety of different sizes of cylindrical tanks and has angled end portions to conform to the shapes of the different cylindrical tanks. The mounting brackets are pivotally attached to a securing strap, that has a series of holes in it for receiving a bolt. The securing strap is fitted around the cylindrical tank to secure it in place.

Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a beverage container includes a back member and a base member attached to the back member for supporting the back member in an upright condition. Holder arms project outwardly from the back member over the base member and define an opening for receiving a beverage container. Beverage container engagement members are pivotally attached to the holder arms and are pivotally movable to accommodate different sized beverage containers.

Abstract: A vise like device that has a pair of oppositely disposed jaws is disclosed. This vise is used to true the roundness of camera lenses. The jaws form arcs of a circle that corresponds to the size of the lens being repaired. The jaws are threaded to protect the threads on the frame. Once the lens frame is secure on the jaws, the vise is slowly opened, pulling the frame around the jaws until the correct diameter is reached and the frame is round. This procedure saves time because the frame becomes true automatically as the vise is opened. Thus, there is no need to continuously check the roundness against a standard as the process continues. Moreover, this process is more forgiving because the frame is gradually and gently trued up. This gradual process also eliminates the need to remove any over correction to the lens shape. Finally, once the lens had be trued, filters and other accessories can again be attached to the lens.

Abstract: An adjustable holding device and method for same wherein the device comprises a base having a top surface and a bottom surface and a carriage having an upper surface and a lower surface, adjacently positioned with the base. Two upright members, each having a first end in a channel in the base and a second end extending through guides on the carriage, hold the article in position. Upon rotation of the base relative to the carriage, the upright members positionally alter to compensate for various sized articles to be secured by the adjustable holding device.

Abstract: A water drinking device for pets comprises a vessel provided at the top thereof with a cap having a ventilation hole. The vessel is further provided at the lower end thereof with a slanted bottom so as to ensure that the water outlet is located at a level higher than the bottom end of the vessel and that the water flowing out of the water outlet is free from impurities. The vessel is further provided peripherally at different levels thereof with a plurality of locating slots, each of which is provided respectively at both ends thereof with a locating recess engageable with a locating projection of the retaining arm of a vessel hanger.

Abstract: A device for holding a drink container comprises a collapsible supporting ring having a first ring half and a second ring half, horizontally arranged hinges which couples the ring halves with one another so that the ring halves are movable from a vertical collapsed position to a horizontal supporting position in which the supporting ring is completed, pivot guides arranged on both sides of the supporting ring to secure the first ring half during a swivelling movement from the vertical to the horizontal position and vice versa, and guide rails arranged horizontally on both sides of the supporting ring so that the second ring half is mounted in the guide rails and guided while being folded out and up.

Abstract: A water heater restraint for securing a vertical cylindrical water heater adjacent a wall. The restraint has an elongated strut, which is held horizontally to a wall against which the water heater is to be restrained. A pair of triangular gussets may be slid along the elongated strut so that one gusset is on each side of the water heater. Strapping is attached to the two gussets and surrounds the water heater and the gussets are secured to the elongated strut. The strut is secured to the wall by channel clamps which may be secured to vertical studs and slide along the elongated strut so that the water heater can be secured independently of the position of the studs.

Abstract: A feeder bowl for a bird or other animal in a cage includes a bowl having an open top and a closed bottom and has a notch extending outwardly therefrom between the open top and the closed bottom, a clamp ring extending around at least a portion of an exterior circumference of the bowl and positioned between the open top and the notch, and an attachment mechanism connected to the clamp ring for affixing the clamp ring to a cage. The bowl has an upper lip extending outwardly of the open top and having a greater circumference than the bowl below the upper lip. The notch is roll formed on the bowl so as to extend around a circumference of the bowl below the upper lip. The clamp ring has a curved flange affixed thereto. The curved flange is juxtaposed against an exterior surface of the bowl between the upper lip and the notch. The clamp ring includes a cross member having a curved flange affixed thereto.

Abstract: An adjustable container holder of the present invention comprises a fixed jaw and a movable jaw, the jaws having mutually opposed arcuate surfaces that define an adjustable aperture. An adjusting knob can move the movable jaw toward and apart from the fixed jaw, so that the adjustable aperture defined by the arcuate jaw surfaces can be adjusted to grasp containers having differing sizes.

Abstract: A new and improved container assembly apparatus for attachment to the front surface and rear surface of a memorial stone at a vertical edge of the memorial stone, for supporting an item (such as an arrangement of flowers) on the memorial stone. The apparatus includes a first clamping arm for placement against the front surface of the memorial stone, a second clamping arm for placement against the rear surface of the memorial stone, and a clamping arm support for supporting the first clamping arm and the second clamping arm in a horizontal orientation in spaced relation with each other. The clamping arm support is positioned in a vertical orientation adjacent a vertical edge of the memorial stone, such that the front surface and the rear surface of the memorial stone that are adjacent to the vertical edge of the memorial stone can be sandwiched between the first and second clamping arms.

Abstract: A holder for beverage containers has a back panel flanged for flush mounting on an upstanding support surface and a pivoting base panel and clamp member pivotable between forward extending use positions wherein they can support and grip a beverage container, and a folded non-use position. Movement between these positions is resiliently resisted by a generally square pin-in-hole connection surrounded by circumferentially spaced slots spaced from corresponding edges of the holes by thin, resiliently bendable, leaves deflectable by corners on the pins.

Abstract: A holding device for holding containers has a housing, an insert movable relative to the housing between a proximal position in which the container can be clamped between the insert and the housing and a distal position in which the insert is moved away from the housing so that the container can be removed from the device and a new container can be placed between the insert and the housing, and elements for engaging the container when it is located between the insert and the housing so as to reliably hold it in the device. The engaging elements include at least one engaging projection which is elastically urged to a position in which it is hidden in one of the insert and the housing when there is no container between the insert and the housing and which is displaced outwardly of the at least one of the insert and the housing to an extended position when the container is inserted between the insert and the housing and applies a pressure to the engaging elements.

Abstract: A beverage holding device attachable to the windshield of a vehicle; the device comprises a semi-circular beverage holder ting having an open region and affixed to a linearly and axially adjusting armature. The armature is accepted in the tongue-in-groove channel of an adjusting retainer that is molded around a rubber suction cup for means of installation. On installation, the beverage holder ring rests horizontally with and slightly above the dashboard surface. The device, in conjunction with a vehicle's windshield and its dashboard surface, comprises the means for retaining a beverage when a beverage is placed on a vehicle's dashboard surface and within the circumference of the beverage holder ring.

Abstract: The retainer assembly secures a container in a free upstanding position. A rigid outwardly projecting element defines a stabilizing configuration for disposition adjacent a container at a height location intermediate the top and bottom of the upstanding container. The stabilizing configuration is effective to maintain the container in a stabilized upright position. The projecting element is adapted to connect first and second flexible tie-down lines at an outer free end line coupling section of the projecting element. The first flexible tie-down line has a length effective to extend around an outer periphery of the upstanding container and is connected to firmly maintain the container in the upright position adjacent the stabilizing configuration. A second flexible tie-down line has a length effective to extend over the removable lid member and includes a coupling device for connecting the second flexible line to firmly maintain the lid member on the container.

Abstract: An adjustable holder comprising in combination a hollow housing having three slots formed on a top surface thereof and four depending side edges. Three cup grippers extend from a respective one of the three slots for gripping a cup on the top surface of the hollow housing. Each cup grippers are movable by way of a respective one of the three gearing assemblies located within the housing. One of the three gearing assemblies is controlled by the operator of the cup holder via a control knob extending from one of the side edges of the housing. Such gearing assembly that is controlled by the operator is referred to as the master gearing assembly.

Abstract: A water heater tank support system for securing a water heater tank to an adjacent wall is disclosed. The system comprises first and second mounting brackets connected to the wall and disposed on opposite sides of the tank. Each of the mounting brackets includes a mounting surface disposed proximate a peripheral portion of the tank. A first strap is provided that goes in back of the water tank and over the mounting surfaces of the brackets. A second strap is provided that goes in front of the tank and over the mounting surfaces of the brackets. Shims are provided between the straps and with the formers, the straps with the shims are attached to the brackets.

Abstract: An adjustable container holder has a housing having an opening therethrough, and first and second jaws within the housing. The jaws have mutually opposed arcuate surfaces that define an adjustable aperture substantially aligned with the opening in the housing. Adjusting means within the housing can move the first and second jaws toward and apart from one another, so that the adjustable aperture defined by the arcuate jaw surfaces can be adjusted to grasp containers of differing sizes.

Abstract: An oarlock lantern holder device for use in mounting a lantern on a boat gunwale includes an elongated arm and a horizontal split-ring clamp for clamping and holding a lantern and connected to the arm. A vertical shaft portion of the arm is mountable to an oarlock of the boat gunwale for slidably and pivotably moving the arm relative to the oarlock and thereby mounting the arm, split-ring clamp and the lantern therewith for undergoing swinging movement between inboard and outboard positions relative to the boat gunwale.

Abstract: A flowerbox support bracketing comprising a plurality of similar L-shaped members and a generally Z-shaped member. The L-shaped members each have a first arm and a second arm, each arm formed with elongated longitudinal slots. The generally Z-shaped member comprises a vertical arm and horizontal top and bottom arms, the horizontal arms being directed in opposite directions and the top arm defining an aperture to receive a bolt wherein a wing nut is threadedly engaged. By overlapping the first and second arms of the L-shaped member with the top arm of the Z-shaped member a flowerbox is clamped to a wall or the like by the descending of one L-shaped arm into the flowerbox's interior and the other L-shaped arm descending over the back of the wall for engagement thereto.

Abstract: A protective cage and mounting device for a fuel tank of a vehicle such as school bus wherein the fuel tank is secured directly to the protection cage, the cage being secured to a vehicle frame rail. The protective cage includes a front section, rear section, side section, and a truss-like bottom shelf section, each of these sections being weldments constructed of low carbon, high strength steel tubing having rectangular cross-sections. The sections are welded to each other to produce stiff joints between said sections with the result that there is less parallelogramming and localized deformation of the protection cage in the event of an accident. Hold down devices are carried by the bottom shelf section for securing the fuel tank thereto.

Abstract: An air tank bracket comprises a pair of resilient, C-shaped clips projecting from an elongate, vertically mounted backplate. A footplate for supporting the neck of an air tank extends from the bottom end of the back plate. A horizontally extending cross bar is secured proximate the upper end of the backplate. An arm, preferably of resilient material, is mounted for pivoting movement at each end of the cross bar. Friction pads or the like are provided to maintain the arms in a raised position once they have been lifted. The free end of each arm includes a slit for receiving one of the shoulder straps of the air tank. When the arms are lifted, the shoulder straps are held in a ready-to-wear position.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a quick release tank support bracket having a positive locking engagement along with an optional operative seat back supportive assembly which includes support bars mounted with a frame with clamp arms secured to the support bars. At least two such support bars are included with at least one or more clamp arms secured thereto. The clamp arms are movable between a closed position for retaining of a tank therein and an opened position for releasing of the tank therefrom. Each of the support bars includes a crank arm which is interconnected by an inner engagement device for controlling cooperative relative movement of the two clamp arms with respect to one another. Closure lugs are positioned integral with the clamping arms and extend inwardly and include tank engaging surfaces such that when the tank is inserted into place by pushing horizontally toward the backing plate, the clamping arms and the support rods will automatically move to the tank retaining position.

Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus for a vehicle includes a throttle body having an air flow passage extending therethrough with a throttle plate mounted in the passage. At least one fuel injector is mounted below the throttle plate and above the intake manifold of the engine for cyclically injecting fuel into the air flow passage extending between the throttle body and the inlet of the intake manifold. A full time, closed loop feedback control system monitors exhaust gas content and adjusts the fuel flow based on the measured air/fuel ratio. A tank storing gaseous fuel at a high pressure is connected to the fuel injector via fluid flow conduits. An annular recess is formed on at least one location on the side wall of the tank. Annular shoulders are disposed on opposite sides of the recess and extend outward above the side wall of the tank. A mounting bracket is mounted in the recess surrounding the tank and is attachable to the vehicle to mount the tank to the vehicle.

Abstract: A mounting bracket assembly for mounting an object to a support structure includes a hanger strap for gripping the object and a channel member for supporting the hanger strap. The hanger strap includes a lobe disposed about the object and inwardly projecting mounting tabs which engage aligned slots formed in the sides of the channel member. A single fastener is disposed through the hanger strap adjacent to the tabs so as to cause the lobe to simultaneously grip the arrester and to retain the mounting tabs in the slots.
