  • Publication number: 20130249210
Abstract: A subsea connector includes first and second tubular members, each having a forward end with an external first flange. A guide basket with an open forward end extends around the first tubular member. A fluid cylinder assembly moves the guide basket axially relative to the first tubular member between a rearward position and a forward position. Lock dogs are carried by the second tubular member. Each of the dogs has a first load shoulder and a second load shoulder and is mounted to a dog support. The dog support has a forward portion that contracts and expands radially relative to the second tubular member. While the guide basket is in the forward position, an interior of the guide basket engages outer sides of the dogs to retain the first and second load shoulders of the dogs in engagement with the first and second flanges.

  • Patent number: 8511280
Abstract: The coupling device has a fuel injector cup, a first and second flange, a shell and fixing element. The fuel injector cup has a central longitudinal axis and can be hydraulically coupled to the fuel rail and engages a fuel inlet portion. The first flange is fixedly coupled to the cup and the second flange to the injector. The shell has first and second projections between which the flanges are axially arranged, and the flanges are in mechanical cooperation with the shell element to retain the injector in the cup in central longitudinal axis direction. The fixing element is arranged on a circumferential outer surface of the shell and prevents a radial movement of it relative to the flanges. The fixing element has a radially spring-loaded element which engages with a recess in the shell element to prevent an axial movement of the fixing element relative to the shell.

Abstract: An insertion coupling which can be used for example for a vacuum line consists of an insertion part and a sleeve part (1), wherein a locking element (5), which can be brought into engagement with a retaining rib of the insertion part, and an actuation element (10) are integrally formed on a housing tab (9) which extends in an arc-shaped manner around a longitudinal axis of the sleeve part (1) and can be elastically deflected radially. A movement of the locking element (5) in a radially outward direction and thus a release of the engaged state between the sleeve part (1) and the insertion part is possible by moving the actuation element (10) in an actuation direction (13). A construction which is particularly simple in design is produced owing to the small number of parts. The sleeve part (1) is provided with a window, by means of which a correct engaged state of the locking element with the retaining rib can be visually checked.

Abstract: A latch assembly for connection of conduit, the assembly comprising a female portion and a male portion, wherein each of the female portion and the male portion have a shell and a connection device. The connection device of the female portion includes a connection assembly with a molded-in slot, a release button, and a raised rib or alternatively is a connection opening. The connection device of the male portion includes a cantilevered region with a ramped engagement feature or alternatively is a raised cantilevered release button. When connected the cantilevered region or button deflects to accommodate the female portion until the ramped engagement feature or button engages the molded-in slot or connection opening, thus releasing the deflection. Depressing the release button disengages the latch allowing separation of the assembly.

The pipe has a jointed end forming a circumferential groove for receiving the C-clip. The C-clip is a ring like member having an opening, which allows for expansion and contraction of the C-clip so as to allow the C-clip to be disposed in a converging surface formed on an inside wall of the pipe fitting. The sealing ring is received in a sealing ring groove defined in the inside wall of the pipe fitting. The pipe fitting has a tube end forming a holding bore having an inside diameter smaller than a diameter of the converging surface. The tube end of the pipe fitting forms openings through which a tool can extend into the pipe fitting to contract the C-clip for releasing the C-clip and the pipe.
