Abstract: Described are portable electronics device coupling assemblies including a cradle configured to electronically couple and releasably engage a portable electronics device, and an adaptor configured to electronically couple and releasably engage the cradle to a passenger seat. Other examples may include a passenger seat having an electronics port configured to electronically couple to the portable electronics device, and a receptacle coupled to the electronics port and configured to releasably engage the portable electronics device. As examples, the portable electronics device may be a tablet computer, a cell phone, a smart phone, a handheld video game system, a personal digital assistant, a palmtop computer, a DVD player, data or audio-video media, or a multi-media enabled device.
Abstract: A foldable, portable bar that is lightweight and easily transported and erected on location is provided. The invention can be folded to a compact size for easy storage in a wheeled, hard or soft shell case which takes up a minimum of storage space. Though compact when in storage, the present invention portable bar when assembled features a spacious counter for the preparation of food and drinks, as well as storage shelves, a tub for holding drinks and ice, a fixture for supporting an umbrella, and interchangeable fabric wraps or panels upon which may be printed “team colors” or other indicia. The present invention portable bar meets the needs of participants at “tailgating” events which typically take place in the parking lots of sports stadiums, as well as those of the operators of hotels and convention centers who also require a light-weight portable bar that can easily be moved and assembled on location and takes up little space when stored.
Abstract: An adjustable workstation with a hideaway seat and method are disclosed. The table may be adjustable in height so that the workstation may be used as a sitting desk or a standing workstation. The chair is pivotably coupled to the table so that it may be extended and used for sitting or stowed away under the desk while the user stands. The workstation may also have wheels for mobility.
Abstract: A seating device (20) includes a fixed seat (24) and a moveable arm (40) pivotally connected at its lower end (44) to a support structure (26). A document shelf (22) is carried on an upper end (42) of the moveable arm (40). In an inactive stowed condition, the document shelf (22) innocuously lays over the fixed seat (24). The document shelf (22) is movable to a deployed condition extending laterally outwardly and upwardly relative to the fixed seat (24) where documents may be held at a convenient reading distance to a person seated on the fixed seat (24). The moveable arm (40) is telescopically extendable. A stop cord (92) limits outward rotation of the moveable arm (40). A recessable joint (46) connects the document shelf (22) to the moveable arm (40). In the stowed condition, the recessable joint (46) tucks below the fixed seat surface. The document shelf (22) includes a back plate (56) and a perpendicular ledge (58).
Abstract: The present invention relates to adjustable desks and chairs for audiovisual classrooms. It comprises a turntable, at least a desk and at least a chair. The turntable is installed on the floor of an audiovisual classroom. The desk is installed on the turntable. The chair is installed on the turntable and in proximity to the desk. The turntable can rotate the desk and the chair together to any desired angle, thereby increasing the convenience of using an audiovisual classroom.
Abstract: A seating arrangement for a passenger-carrying vehicle, especially aircraft. The arrangement provides a plurality of seating positions, a seating position comprising a seat and a footwell. The footwell of a first seating position is located beside the seat of a second seating position, the second seating position being located generally forward of the first seating position. Each seat is operable into a reclined state in which a leg-supporting component of the seat projects into the associated footwell. A tray assembly is associated with each console, the tray assembly being deployable from a stowed state in or on the console in which it is disposed generally parallel with a ground surface on which the seating arrangement rests during use.
Abstract: A tray liner of flexible construction relies on the rigid airline or railroad car seat tray underneath it to create a horizontal clean and sanitary surface useful for supporting food and drink utensils. While it is especially useful for handling food items for toddlers or small children during travel, the tray liner may also be used on a high chair in a restaurant. It may also be used by older children to provide a play area for toys with multiple parts that may easily fall off a tray. Adult use by the general public or by handicapped people also offers a more secure dining platform with spill protection during travel. It has soft semi-rigid edges which function to keep objects or fluids from falling off the supporting tray. It has a sturdy outer covering with an impervious interior surface which is impermeable to liquids and waterproof.

The vehicle seat includes a pivot point that is configured for rotating generally horizontally from an inboard position to an outboard position. An extended seat track may extend within an interior of the vehicle between a front row and a rear row. The vehicle seat is movably attached to the extended seat track and is configured to move along the extended seat track between the front row and the rear row. The vehicle seat may also be configured to provide individualized comfort to the user. The lower seat cushion and the seatback each include a surface. A controller is configured to actuate the lower seat and the seatback to selectively change a contour of the respective surface to match contours of the user.

Abstract: A system for anticipating the needs of at least one passenger onboard a mobile platform is provided. A passenger seating area for receipt of the passenger includes a seat that has a seat back that moves into a reclined position, a tray table that is operable to be positioned to provide a surface for use by the at least one passenger, and a light source disposed for illumination of at least a portion of the passenger seating area. A camera acquires an image of the passenger, and a gesture control module generates activity data that includes at least one activity that the passenger is performing as recognized in the image of the at least one passenger acquired by the camera. A smart control module moves the seat back, positions the tray table, activates or deactivates the light source and performs combinations thereof based on the activity data.

Abstract: A desk assembly and method of manufacturing the desk assembly. The desk assembly includes a frame supporting a top assembly. The frame includes two or more leg portions telescopically coupled to one another such that the top assembly is height adjustable. The top assembly is formed from a plastic molded base bonded to a high pressure laminate sheet to form a seamless panel. The seamless panel is straighted from a deformed state during the manufacturing process to a flat surface by adhering the panel to a substrate with adhesive and pressure. The top assembly may include an angled portion set off by a flowing arc to increase user comfort. Abstract: A mount for a table that is both decorative and functional. A clamp-on base attaches around the gas spring lift of any office or executive type chair. This attachment point allows such table to rotate independently around the center support post of said chair and easily move to either side or front while not interfering with said chair's own swivel movement. Abstract: A vehicle seat is provided which includes a seat base detachably mounted on a vehicle floor, a seat cushion detachably provided on the seat base, and a backrest foldably supported on the seat base. The seat cushion is detached from the seat base, and the seat cushion and the seat base with the backrest folded are juxtaposed to be stored in a recess provided in the vehicle floor or an area under another seat. In the case of non-use, the vehicle seat can be removed from the vehicle floor to be efficiently stored inside a vehicle. The horizontal surface can be at a height suitable for use as a furniture item and as an exercise bench. A storage drawer can be positioned in the space between the legs.
