Abstract: A box spring wrap and dust ruffle system is disclosed. The box spring wrap has a strip of unbroken-loop material to which hooks, of a hook-and-loop fastener system, may be removably attached. The strip extends around the perimeter of the box spring wrap, and has contours corresponding to the locations of corners of the box spring. The box spring wrap also has decking, of a different material than the unbroken-loop material, serving as a top panel of the wrap when installed on a box spring; alternatively, the strip and decking may a unitary piece of unbroken-loop material. A strap of material that is attachable to the unbroken-loop material of the box spring wrap, or to the underside of the box spring itself, may be provided to secure the box spring wrap at the underside of the box spring. The dust ruffle of the system has hook fasteners attached to the reverse side along the top, and thus may be attached at any height of the box spring.

The cushion has at least one foam material that can deflect under an applied load and store energy during deflection. A U-shaped cradle extends adjacent a bottom and along two opposite sides of the cushion in a parallel spaced apart relation with respect to one another. Each of a pair of arm rests is coupled to a side frame of the U-shaped frame.

Abstract: The present invention is a safety seat cover, such as for a child safety seat used in an automobile. The safety seat cover includes an upper cover portion for at least partially covering a head support portion of the safety seat. The upper cover portion includes a height adjustment assembly which may be stretched and contracted along a vertical axis for allowing the cover to be configured to a plurality of heights. The height adjustment assembly may adjustably and securely attach with a middle cover portion of the cover when the cover is configured to a desired height. The middle cover portion may at least partially cover a trunk support portion of the safety seat and includes a first section which may adjustably attach with a second section. The lower cover portion may adjustably attach with the middle cover portion, may at least partially cover a seat support portion of the safety seat, and may form at least one aperture.

Abstract: The vehicle seat cover is a flexible sheet for covering the rear seat, and the rear face of the front seat, of a vehicle when a load is stored in the rear seat. If the user is transporting an animal or refuse, for example, the vehicle seat cover protects the front and rear seats from damage. The vehicle seat cover includes a base sheet, a front sheet that is releasably secured to the base sheet, and a pair of side sheets, which are also releasably secured to the base sheet. Both the front sheet and the rear portion of the base sheet are provided with a plurality of straps and releasable connectors for, respectively, securing the front sheet to the front seat and the rear portion of the base sheet to the rear seat. When not in use, the front sheet and the pair of side sheets may be detached from the base sheet and the sheets may be folded, secured to one another and transported by the user.

The slipcovers can include a fabric sheet, multi-layered components, extensions, anchors, relaxation mechanisms, and holders, and can be configured to cover all or a portion of a seating structure. The multi-layered components can be removably secured to the fabric sheet by decouplable fasteners or by friction or interaction with a friction enhancing material, non-removably secured to the fabric sheet by sewing, quilting, tufting, gluing, and/or applying an adhesive or bonding agent, or secured to the fabric sheet by extensions inserted into a crevice. The internal layers of a multi-layered component can also be removable, or a multi-layered component can be configured to allow additional layers to be inserted.

Abstract: A dining room chair slipcover arrangement has a pair of seat panels to cover each side of a seat while leaving an uncovered area. Each panel extends a full depth of the seat to a point below a front end of the seat. A chasuble covers the uncovered area of the seat and extends from a point below the front end of the seat, across the seat depth, up along a front surface of the back, across the top and down the rear surface of the back. Wrapping parts and connectors extending around the back for holding the chasuble to the chair. A skirt extends around the seat to cover sides of the seat and upper parts of the chair legs.

Abstract: A portable seat cushion for a bench has an inflatable panel, a strap having an end affixed to a back side of panel and extending outwardly therefrom, a first fastener affixed to a front side of the panel, and a second fastener affixed to the strap at an end opposite the panel. The second fastener is suitable for affixing to the first fastener when the bottom surface of the panel is placed upon a bench and the strap is extended along an underside of the bench toward the front side of the panel. The strip can have an elastic section formed therealong. A valve allows air to be selectively introduced into the interior compartment of the inflatable panel.

Abstract: The seat sock is a protective covering to slip over the back of a movie/theater seat to act as a personal barrier between the user and the surface of the seat back. The seat sock consists of a piece of stretchable polyester fabric which is folded over and stitched along the thirty two inch length, folded inside out and stitched along a twenty two inch length. The cylinder is then folded right side out. An elastic loop is attached, stretched and slipped around the rolled seat sock.

Abstract: A cover for a baby stroller is disclosed. The cover includes thermally insulated panels for retaining warmth for use in cold weather. The front panel includes an umbrella-shaped window with zipper access to allow the baby to be removed from or replaced into the baby stroller. The use of a rear zipper and top and bottom pull strings allows the cover to be attached to a range of baby strollers. By varying the manufactured dimensions of the panels of the cover, covers can be supplied for a very broad range of baby strollers.

Abstract: A retractable seat back protector is provided for a motor vehicle seat. The protector includes a retractable roller with a first end of a flexible sheet fixedly attached thereto. A second end of the sheet is pulled in a direction away from the roller such that the sheet covers the seat back when the protector is in the extended position. The second end may have at least one fastener that allows the second end of sheet to be attached to the seat back. The protector is mounted onto the seat back proximal to a head rest area or a floorboard area, or may be mounted within the seat back or underneath the seat.

Abstract: A seat cushion is provided including an integral gripping member that prevents the cushion from sliding during use. The gripping member attaches to the cushion by a connecting strap which therefore allows the gripping member to be selectively placed in contact with either panel of the cushion. Accordingly, either one of the panels may be exposed during use which allows the seat cushion to be constructed of differing materials, colors or patterns for the respective panels. Additionally, damage to one of the panels still allows the gripping member to be used because the cushion can be reversed to expose the non-damaged panel.

Abstract: A buoyant pool chair supports a swimmer in an upright, semi-reclining or sitting position while the chair is floating in a swimming pool. Interconnected rigid frame members collectively form an open chair frame including a seat frame, left and right arm frames attached to the seat frame, and a back frame pivotally coupled to the seat frame. Buoyant cushions attached to the frame members form a chair seat, a chair back, a left chair arm and a right chair arm. The buoyant cushions include layers of flexible cushion material secured together in overlapping relation, with the frame members being sandwiched between the overlapping layers. A layer of adhesive material bonds the overlapping cushion layers together and forms a water-tight seal around the frame members.

A spring loaded elongated padded scissors clamp or hook and loop fasteners on a covering fabric around a padded core alternately receive, retain and release a towel. The roller attaches slidably to the frame of the chair in grooves having multiple stops for adjusting the height of the roller. The towel unrolls to cover the seat or hang over the back of the seat to dry and may be released from the roller to dry a user or cover a user on the chair.

Additionally, a sanitizing compound such as an antibacterial agent can be applied to the sheath.

Abstract: The chair cover with child restraint belt is a cover configured to fit over the upper portion of a stackable chair for securing a young child to the chair. The cover is constructed of a layer of absorbent material positioned between two cloth layers and has a back portion, a seat portion and two arm portions. An adjustable belt with two buckles is attached to the back and seat portions of the cover. A retaining panel extends between the two arm portions to help prevent a child's toys or other items from falling off of the cover. In an alternative embodiment the cover is made of a cloth covered with waterproof material.

Abstract: A sound-suppressing hunter's backrest is formed from a supple layer of cloth or other sound-suppressing material in sheet form that is supported against a tree or other backing during use by straps or cords, but can also be rolled or folded into a compact bundle for storage and carried on the waist as a fanny pack. The backrest includes a pocket located proximate one end of the backrest that has a lip or edge which defines a pocket opening that extends between two opposed edges of the backrest and the pocket opening is positioned to face an opposite end of the sheet material so that continued rolling up of the sheet material will cause it to enter the pocket through the opening for storage. The straps or cords serve to attach the sheet material to a tree or other backing and one strap or cord also serves as a waist strap.

Abstract: There is provided a portable, folding chair with an enhanced seat and backrest. The seat includes a suspension system that is capable of providing an enhanced range of motion in seating directions. The backrest provides enhanced support through an enlarged support surface and improved disposition of the support surface relative to the chair frame. The seat and backrest can be used together on the same chair or independently. There is also provided an alternate seat employing a suspension system that is capable of providing an enhanced range of motion in seating directions and that has a low profile to be used in situations where storage space is a significant consideration.

Abstract: A custom moldable seating product includes a seat having a seat bottom and a seat back, and a moldable element for being carried by the seat. The moldable element is transformable from an initially flexible unactivated state to an activated state, such that the moldable element conforms to a seat occupant positioned on the seat. The moldable element may include a first component contained in a first compartment and a second component contained in a second compartment. The first and second compartments may be contained in an initially flexible enclosure. The first and second compartments may be ruptured to allow the first and second components to mix within the enclosure. The reaction of the first and second components create an expandable foam that conforms to a body part of a seat occupant positioned on the seat.

Abstract: A multi-purpose seat protector is provided for covering, for example, a weight bench and an automobile seat. The seat protector includes an envelope at a first end that receives an upper portion of the seat or bench, so that the protector does not slide off of the seat or bench. The seat protector prevents sweat from staining the surface that it covers. When the seat protector is removed from, for example an automobile seat, a person may safely sit upon the seat without staining his or her clothes. The seat protector also prevents excessive heat from a car seat from burning a person that sits upon the seat. When the seat protector covers a hot car set, a person may safely sit upon the seating surface without the seating surface burning his or her skin. A seatbelt protector is also provided for covering a seatbelt. The seatbelt protector prevents sweat from staining the seatbelt that it covers.

A pommel (26) is located at a front portion of the base. Abstract: A compact seat cushion built to be easily carried by a shoulder strap or built-in handle which has a padded top for sitting on and a bottom that is rugged and waterproof. The seat cushion unzips to separate the top and bottom into two separate parts. The leg-warmer/protector envelope attached to the bottom, unfolds from inside. The padded top is attached to the top of the leg-warmer/protector envelope. The leg-warmer/protector envelope has a side zipper to allow ease of ingress and egress and includes an extension zipper to lengthen the tube as desired. A built-in belt at the open end top of the leg-warmer/protector envelope allows a user to cinch it around his waist. The padded top which is fastened to the top of the open end of the envelope inserts into the envelope and is suspended at a level that allows it to be easily placed below the user's seat inside the leg-warmer/protector envelope.

The pillow is filled with a resiliently compressible material. The first and second sides are each generally rounded. The openings are positioned nearer to the lower edge than the upper edge. The openings are horizontally aligned with each other. A fastening assembly is attached to the pillow for selectively coupling the second side of the pillow to a child seat of a shopping cart. A securing assembly is attached to the pillow for selectively coupling a child to the first side of the pillow.

Abstract: A chair back for a chair that includes a support frame portion having a defined shape and is adapted to attach to a chair base member. The chair back for a chair may also include a tensioning frame portion having a defined shape and a removable elastomeric support sleeve having an opening adapted to receive the defined shape of the support frame portion and the defined shape of the tensioning frame portion. The removable elastomeric support sleeve may be slid first over the support frame portion so as to conform the removable elastomeric support sleeve to the defined shape of the support frame portion. The removable elastomeric support sleeve may then be slid second over the tensioning frame portion thereby conforming the elastomeric support sleeve to the defined shape of the tensioning frame portion.

Abstract: A chair cover is provided including a member defining a curtain portion and a belt portion. The belt portion includes a hood portion, a first arm portion, and a second arm portion. The first arm portion extends from a first edge of the hood portion. The second arm portion extends from a second edge of the hood portion that is opposite the first edge. The hood portion is adapted to engage a seatback of a chair. The skirt portion is adapted to cover a backside of the chair. The first and second arm portions are adapted to be fixed together behind the seatback of the chair.

Abstract: An apparatus protects the feet and legs of an infant from certain rigid parts of an infant bouncer seat while the infant is sitting and playing in the bouncer seat. A foot and leg protector includes a unitary and elongated, shell, wherein the shell is u-shaped when viewed from its top surface. Padded material having a thickness of at least about one half inch is disposed within the shell. The foot and leg protector further includes a removable attachment means including a male part and a female part. The male part is located on the bottom surface of the foot and leg protector and the female part is located substantially near the front lip of the bouncer seat. The removable attachment means is operable to removably attach the foot and leg protector to the bouncer seat such that the foot and leg protector covers substantially the entire portion of the front lip of the bouncer seat, and front portions of left and right side lips.

Abstract: A dining room chair slipcover arrangement has a pair of seat panels to cover each side of a seat while leaving an uncovered area. The outer shield member provides six cloth strips, which is sewed to form a shape of cross with a central section and four outward extending sections. The central section has a plurality of openings and each of the cloth strips having a secure part at both ends thereof for being adhered to each other. The plastic pad is attached with a Velcro part and provides magnetic pieces on the Velcro part. The first cushion member is a quadrilateral bag corresponding to the central section of the outer shield member with crystals being stuffed inside. The second cushion member provides the same configuration as the first cushion member with soft stuff inside. The first cushion member, the second cushion member and the plastic pad are wrapped with the outward extending sections of the outer shield member.

Abstract: A cover for temporarily protecting a vehicle seat that has a seat back and a seat bottom. The cover includes a pouch portion adapted to be disposed over a portion of the seat back, and a pocket adapted to receive a floor mat. Alternatively, the cover can include an extension portion adapted to be disposed over a portion of the seat bottom with a pocket adapted to receive a floor mat. A method of transporting a vehicle seat and floor mat to a vehicle assembly plant is also disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a vehicle seat, providing a floor mat, packaging the vehicle seat and floor mat as a single unit defining a seat assembly, and transporting the seat assembly to a vehicle assembly plant.

Abstract: A footstool is provided having outer pockets for storage of magazines, newspapers or the like. Additional storage space is available when the cushion is removed to expose an internal compartment having a shelf. The cushion includes a bottom pocket with a stiffener therein. The cushion can be removed and inverted into a bottom-up posture to provide a rigid writing or work surface. The stiffener can be removed from the cushion pocket and placed on the frame to function as a work table whereby the cushion may be used either as a pillow or simply placed atop the stiffener for use as a footstool.

Abstract: A seat forming member is mounted on a child-care instrument which can be changed between a chair state and a bed state, to form a seat and comprises a backrest wall and a top wall flexibly connected to an upper part of the backrest wall. In the bed state, the top wall bends forward so as to form an angle with the backrest wall. The seat forming member comprises a pair of side protecting members extending sideward from both sides of the top wall. Each of side protecting members is guided by a side wall of the seat and bends forward from the top wall so as to be positioned over the backrest wall in the bed state.

Abstract: A new and improved portable ergonomic cushion for relieving pressure on the coccyx (tailbone) and on the ischial tuberosities, for promoting correct positioning of the sacroiliac joint and for supporting the lower back of the user is described. The portable ergonomic cushion includes a narrow ridge back support allowing the cushion to be used with numerous styles of chairs and seats, and a lumbar support cushion that is removably attached to the back support. The portable ergonomic cushion may also make use of inflatable cushions for increasing the flexibility of the sitting cushion by allowing users to adjust the cushions to their desired support by varying the amount the cushions are inflated. The portable ergonomic cushion is also foldable into a compact non-use position for easy transportation and storage, and futher does not require the use of straps for retaining the cushion while in use.

Abstract: A multi-layer cushion having a shaped base on which is positioned a resilient, cushioning layer. The shaped base is constructed from a supportive foam and has front and lateral bolsters. The cushioning layer is an inflatable air cell cushion having a flexible base and an array of individual air cells arranged in rows across the flexible base. Rows of cells around the perimeter of the air cell cushion are configured to provide comfortable transition areas between the bolsters and the air cell cushion. The cushion includes a cover that has a lower compartment for the foam base and an upper compartment for the air cell layer. The cover functions to keep the air cell layer in place on the foam layer.

The flap folds over the back of the top of the support panel and presents the advertising to a person seated behind the chair fitted with the seat back. The protective cover (20) may optionally include cushions (52) for occupant comfort, and storage pockets (44) for occupant convenience.

A top element and side panel elements are provided that attach to the back panel. The top element extends above the occupant of the wheelchair and the side elements protrude from the side of the wheelchair. Abstract: A foam pad comprising a surface to which a trim cover can be secured, the surface comprising a channel having a width of up to about 15 mm. Disposed in the channel is one of a male portion or a female portion of a releasably engageable male-female trim cover attachment system. A trim cover having the other of the male or female portion attached thereto may be readily attached to the foam pad. A process and a mold for producing the foam pad are also described. The foam pad is particularly useful as a component of a vehicular seat system (e.g., seat bottom, seat back and the like).
