    Abstract: An electric wheelchair with quick-release drive wheels includes: a chassis, and two guide wheels and two said drive wheels. The drive wheels are rotated by a drive mechanism and connected to the drive mechanism by a quick-release mechanism. To detach the drive wheel, the user can press the cover to make the rolling balls move out of the receiving groove and back to the arc-shaped engaging portion, which allows the hollow shaft to disengage from the drive shaft. Then, keeping pressing the cover can detach the drive wheel from the drive mechanism. To assemble the drive wheel, the user can press the hollow shaft into the axial hole to make the rolling balls engage in the receiving groove, so that the drive wheel is assembled to the drive mechanism. The assembly and disassembly of the drive wheel require no wrenches or other tools, and therefore are very convenient.

    Abstract: A wheel retaining device is provided for axially retaining a wheel on an axle having a notch. The cap is adapted for being affixed to a wheel. One or more springs is affixed to the cap at a lateral edge. The springs have a first position wherein the distal ends are located radially outward from the lateral edge. The springs are bendable into a second position wherein the springs are adjacent to the inboard side of the outer plate so that distal ends are urged inward. The distal ends include a protrusion that is adapted for being received in a notch on the axle. The cap is held onto the wheel by tabs that extending into apertures and catching behind the apertures. The cap is designed for maintaining the lateral position of the axle with respect to the wheel to which it is attached.

The knock-down wheelbarrow also includes a pair of support beams and each support beam includes a partial bore on a top surface, a partial bore on a bottom surface and a lateral through bore at a fore end of the beam. The wheelbarrow also includes a pair of legs having top end interfacing surfaces with partial bores therein. Fastener pins attach each leg to the bottom surface of a support beam.

In an alternate embodiment the snap ring secures the hollow spindle on the stub shaft against the resistance of interengaging straight and helical spines of the hollow spindle and the stub shaft.
