Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying defects in a roulette wheel are described. A first trajectory of a roulette ball may be determined after launch of the roulette ball by capturing movement of the roulette ball on the roulette wheel. The roulette wheel has a region where the roulette ball orbits and spins around before the roulette ball falls into a roulette number pocket. The determining step may be repeated to determine additional trajectories, and a plurality of areas that the roulette ball avoided during travel along the trajectories may be identified. A graphical representation of the plurality of avoided areas may be generated to identify regions of the roulette wheel that include defects.

Abstract: The present invention provides a unified template matching technique which allows an adequate matching position to be provided even in an image with a distorted pattern shape and a variation in edge intensity. A correlation value contribution rate map is created for the vicinity of each of top candidate positions obtained by applying a centroid distance filter to a normalized correlation map resulting from template matching. A corrected intensity image is created from the correlation value contribution rate maps. Luminance correction is performed based on the corrected intensity image. Local matching is performed again on the vicinity of each candidate position. The candidates are then re-sorted based on candidate positions and correlation values newly obtained. Thus, even in an image with a distorted pattern shape and a variation in edge intensity, an adequate matching position can be provided in a unified manner.

Abstract: A method for visually inspecting a valve is provided. The valve controls of a fluid from a first fluid conduit to a second fluid conduit. A tethered imaging device is disposed in the second fluid conduit. The tether extends from inside the second fluid conduit to outside the second fluid conduit. An image capturing end portion of the imaging device is moved in proximity to the valve. A fluid seal for fluid sealing a passage of the tether from inside the second fluid conduit to outside the second fluid conduit is provided. The valve is then at least partially opened and images are captured in-situ of the at least partially opened valve with the valve being exposed to the fluid.

Abstract: Acquired mask data of a defect portion is sent to a simulated repair circuit 300 to be simulated. The simulation of the acquired mask data 204 is returned to the mask inspection results 205 and thereafter sent to a wafer transfer simulator 400 along with a reference image at the corresponding portion. A wafer transfer image estimated by the wafer transfer simulator 400 is sent to a comparing circuit 301. When it is determined that there is a defect in the comparing circuit 301, the coordinates and the wafer transfer image which is a basis for the defect determination are stored as transfer image inspection results 206. The mask inspection results 205 and the transfer image inspection result 206 are then sent to the review device 500.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a device for optically measuring the curvature of a rotor blade (18) of a wind power plant (1). The rotor blade is fixed at the blade root (23) to a rotor hub (8) or a rotor (6). The device includes at least one light-emitting external marking (33) fixed to the rotor blade (18) at a distance from the blade root (23), at least one camera (27) fixed to the rotor (6) for capturing the light (35) emitted from the external marking (33). The device provides first location information as a function of the relative position of the camera (27) with respect to the external marking (33). An evaluating device (37) is coupled to the camera (27), and a position detection means detects the relative location of the camera (27) with respect to the blade root (23) and provides second location information as a function of said relative location. The evaluating device (37) determines at least one variable characterizing the curvature of the rotor blade (18) while evaluating the position information.

Abstract: In a method for validating speed of a fan of an electronic device, different speeds of the fan are set for validation. The method controls the fan to operate under each of the set speeds in turn, and controls a camera device to continuously capture images of the fan with a shutter speed of the camera device corresponding to the set speed. The images are transmitted to a comparison unit to be analyzed for sameness and clarity. The fan is determined to work abnormally if not all the images are sameness or if at least one image is unclear, and the fan is determined to work normally if all the images are sameness or clear. A validation report is generated to indicate whether the fan is normal or abnormal according to the determination.
