Transmit/receive Interaction Control Patents (Class 370/282)
  • Patent number: 9030944
Abstract: A mobile data network includes a breakout appliance at the edge of the mobile data network and an appliance in the core network that includes multiple enclosures. Each appliance has defined interfaces and defined commands on each interface that allow performing all needed functions on the appliances without revealing details regarding the hardware and software used to implement the appliances. An aggregate appliance in the mobile data network defines high-level commands, which each have a corresponding set of steps that are performed when the high-level command is executed. Each step causes one or more of the defined commands to be executed on the breakout appliance and/or the appliance in the core network and/or one a related software entity. This aggregated appliance allows configuring and controlling the breakout appliance and the appliance in the core network in a way that is transparent to most existing components in the mobile data network.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for communicating between a first node and a plurality of second nodes in a network, including a first uplink mode in which a first message is transmitted from multiple second nodes in sequence, and a second uplink mode in which a second message is sent from only a subset of nodes. A first receiving node evaluates communication path information based on messages received in the first uplink mode and returns this information via an acknowledgement to allow the subset to be selected. The first message from multiple nodes includes sequence information to allow the first node to acknowledge at an appropriate point in time. This is particularly applicable where multiple spatially separated antennas offer a receiver several observations of the same signal in an antenna diversity scheme.

Abstract: In a high-frequency module, first, second and third duplexers are aligned and mounted on a top surface of a multilayer body. The second duplexer, the frequency band of which is spaced apart from those of the first duplexer and the third duplexer, is arranged between the first duplexer and the third duplexer, the frequency bands of which are close to each other. This causes the spacing between the first and third duplexers, the frequencies of signals transmitted and received through which are close to each other, to be increased to suppress or prevent unnecessary electromagnetic field coupling between the first and third duplexers. In addition, also with the second duplexer, the frequency band of which is spaced apart from those of the first and third duplexers and which exists between the first and third duplexers, the unnecessary electromagnetic field coupling is suppressed or prevented between the first and third duplexers.

  • Patent number: 8855029
Abstract: A transmit signal second-order inter-modulation (IM2) canceller for a portable handset using a full duplex mode of operation (e.g., WCDMA) is used to controllably reduce IM2 introduced by a transmit signal that appears in a received signal in a receive channel of the portable handset. The transmit signal IM2 canceller includes a delay estimator and a digital signal adjuster. The delay estimator receives a first input from a receive channel and a second input from a transmit channel. The delay estimator generates an estimate of the IM2 that the transmit channel introduces in the receive channel. The digital signal adjuster removes the estimate of the IM2 before forwarding a modified receive channel signal to a baseband subsystem of the portable handset.

  • Patent number: 8855026
Abstract: A network sends to a user equipment UE a reference signal configuration, and from receiving it the UE selects a codeword identifying a cooperative multipoint CoMP transmission scheme. There is a CoMP scheme selection codebook from which the UE selects the codeword corresponding to its recommended CoMP scheme. The UE sends to the network that codeword which identifies the CoMP transmission scheme, along with the CSI feedback characterizing the CoMP transmission scheme. From that codeword which the network receives it determines the UE's assumed CoMP transmission scheme, which the network uses to determine how the CSI feedback, received from the UE, was calculated by the UE (for example, joint transmission, or dynamic point selection with or without muting, or coordinating scheduling/beamforming). The network uses this information for selecting a CoMP transmission scheme for downlink CoMP transmissions to the UE.

Abstract: The disclosure claims a method for measuring throughput and a Maintenance End Point (MEP). The method is applied in the Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) network. The method comprises the following steps: a first MEP in the MPLS-TP network performs the transmission of the data packets with a second MEP in the MPLS-TP network in a preset time period; after the preset time period, the first MEP receives measurement information fed back by the second MEP, wherein the measurement information indicates the number of data packets transmitted by the second MEP in this transmission; according to the measurement information, the first MEP judges that packet loss does not occur in this transmission of the data packets and the transmission rate meets the requirement of target precision, and then obtains the throughput of the transmission of the data packets in the transmission direction.
