Abstract: A soft feel decorative, textured laminate used for various vertical surfaces of the interior of commercial aircraft. Fire resistant silicone materials are used as a cap layer on various substrates including FR resin impregnated woven glass and naturally high flammability resistance polymer film. The FR-silicone cap layer can be used on various substrates, such as polymeric film, polymeric sheet, foam fabric materials, woven/non-woven and knitted glass. The FR-silicone cap layer can be colored or combined with prints. A clear silicone layer can be laminated on top of a printed silicone layer to protect the print and provide better abrasion resistance. The silicone laminate passes FAA and OEM interior aircraft flammability requirements including heat release, smoke and vertical burn.

Abstract: In a textile protective sheath for a lifting accessory such as a roundsling (1), lifting strap or the like, which lifting accessory has a woven base fabric (4) and at least one rib (5) which is carried by the woven base fabric (4), which rib (5) projects outwards from the woven base fabric (4) and is formed by a rib fibre (H1, H2) which is interwoven with the woven base fabric (4), optimised protection against cuts with, at the same time, good properties in use and the ability to be produced easily and inexpensively is achieved in accordance with the invention by virtue of the fact that the rib fibre (H1, H2) is a high-performance fibre and, looking in the direction (L) in which the rib fibre (H1, H2) runs, the rib fibre (H1, H2) skips at least three weft filaments (6, 6a-6l) at a time of the woven base fabric (4) before it is drawn down below a weft filament (6) of the woven base fabric.

Abstract: The present invention relates to fabrics, composites, prepregs, laminates, and other products incorporating glass fibers formed from glass compositions. The glass fibers, in some embodiments, are incorporated into composites that can be adapted for use in high energy impact applications such as ballistic or blast resistance applications. Glass fibers formed from some embodiments of the glass compositions can have certain desirable properties that can include, for example, desirable electrical properties (e.g. low Dk) or desirable mechanical properties (e.g., specific strength).

Abstract: A fluid absorption mat is applied to a floor where fluids often drip. The fluids are absorbed through an upper and/or lower layer. The upper and lower layers are less absorbent than an intermediate layer which is made of polymers. The intermediate layer absorbs and retains fluids introduced into the absorption mat making cleanup more efficient.

Abstract: Fabricated articles are disclosed which comprise a polypropylene impact copolymer. The propylene impact copolymer composition comprises from 60 to 90 percent by weight of the impact copolymer composition of a matrix phase, which can be a homopolymer polypropylene or random polypropylene copolymer having from 0.1 to 7 mol percent of units derived from ethylene or C4-C10 alpha olefins. The propylene impact copolymer composition also comprises from 10 to 40 percent by weight of the impact copolymer composition of a dispersed phase, which comprises a propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer having from 6 to 40 mol percent of units derived from ethylene or C4-C10 alpha olefins, wherein the dispersed phase has a comonomer content which is greater than the comonomer content in the matrix phase. The propylene impact copolymer composition is further characterized by having the ratio of the matrix MFR to the dispersed phase MFR being 1.2 or less.

Abstract: According to the invention, it was recognized that the fiber products, in particular, glass fiber products, suitable for thermal insulation can be temporarily given: an inherently stable shape by fixing agents that can be activated. This enables the fiber molded parts produced from the fiber products according to the invention to be used more easily or fully automatically. Processing the fiber products to form a molded part becomes exceptionally simple if said product itself carries the fixing agents. Therefore, a fixing agent does not have to be added in a separate production step during the molding.
