  • Patent number: 10862990
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media may be configured for improved predictive content caching. A system may determine a value that is a function of one or more rates at which a portion of a content item is being consumed and based on this value, may also calculate a projected position after a predetermined time period. By comparing the projected position to a dynamically adjustable threshold position for requesting a new portion of the content item, a determination may be made as to when to retrieve and/or cache a new portion of the content item.

  • Patent number: 10817902
Abstract: A system and method for preference determination, including obtaining permission for profile access from social media users where the users agree to participate in surveys. Profile data, preferences, and data from completed surveys is retrieved, and base odds are calculated for particular variables in profiles of respondents and of people in the general population, and attributes for which predictive targeted sets are desired are returned. The profile data, preferences, and survey data is analyzed using a combined index calculation method to reduce the profile data, preferences, and data from surveys to a single index value for one or more particular keywords. The variables are placed in rank order based on the single index value to determine a likelihood of a particular user to prefer a particular item, and a predictive targeted set is returned for a likelihood of users in a particular set of users to prefer a particular item.

Abstract: An example method includes receiving, by a first computing device, a command regarding operation of an application. A first version of the application is configured to execute on the first computing device and a second version of the application is configured to execute on a second computing device that has a different form factor than the first computing device. In response to receiving the command, the first computing device may determine a series of instructions that cause the first version of the application to display visual representations of an activity on the first computing device synchronized to displayed visual representations of the activity on the second computing device. The displayed visual representations are respectively adapted to the form factors of the first and the second computing devices. The first computing device may execute the determined series of instructions.

Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used for supporting multiple hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) processes per transmission time interval (TTI). A transmitter and a receiver may include a plurality of H-ARQ processes. Each H-ARQ process may transmit and receive one TB per TTI. The transmitter may generate a plurality of TBs and assign each TB to a H-ARQ process. The transmitter may send control information for each TB, which may include H-ARQ information associated TBs with the TBs. The transmitter may send the TBs using the associated H-ARQ processes simultaneously per TTI. After receiving the TBs, the receiver may send feedback for each of the H-ARQ processes and associated TBs indicating successful or unsuccessful receipt of each of the TBs to the transmitter. The feedback for multiple TBs may be combined for the simultaneously transmitted H-ARQ processes, (i.e., TBs).

  • Patent number: 10212561
Abstract: A message transmission system, a receiving apparatus, a receiving method and a computer-readable recording medium thereof are provided. The message transmission system includes a transmitting apparatus, a receiving apparatus and a database. The transmitting apparatus transmits a broadcasting message, where the broadcasting message includes an identification code. The receiving apparatus forwards the identification code in response to receiving the broadcasting message. The database provides an intent content corresponding to the identification code without an application identification. The receiving apparatus presents a notification according to the intent content by an operation system (OS) without opening an application corresponding to the application identification in response to receiving the intent content. Accordingly, without installing an application for receiving a push message, the receiving apparatus still can receive the notification, and efficiency of push notification can be improved.
